Ryan had never imagined that he would feel any guilt towards Marceau Etvar.

The moment Letty’s true identity was revealed, Ryan saw a kind of despair in Marceau Etvar’s face that he had never seen before.

He had expected her to argue with him, invoking morality. If she did, he had been ready to fight her with all his might.
