Chapter 27
Chapter 27
Kaysen knew that as soon as he spoke, something significant would happen.
‘This is going to be troublesome.’
Darcy’s eyes seemed to have flipped.
Kaysen took a deep breath and carefully chose his words.
“What would you like to hear?”
Darcy, instantly seeing through Kaysen’s attempt to evade the question, wiped the muzzle of his gun on the edge of his cloak.
“You know better than I do.”
“…You’ve been deceived.”@@novelbin@@
“You comfort yourself with that excuse while continuing to defame her?”
Having decided to stay here for a while, Darcy had gathered all the rumors about Marceau that he had previously ignored.
Kaysen had been one of his sources of information.
The rumors about Marceau were varied, but none of them were good.
‘They say she changed as if she were a different person about a year ago.’
No one tried to understand the Marceau that he knew.
The preconceived notions were so strong that he could understand why she preferred to be isolated. No one wanted to see the truth.
What do you think?
