Progenitor Vampire: I Have Many Skills!

Looking inside his body, Matthew noticed several amazing changes. The first was that he could now see every sinew or fiber in his body as if it were natural. He only needed to look inside him and concentrate on the place he wanted to see, and he was ready.

But he wasn’t just seeing it; he could even control it a little. Although he didn’t understand why, it would come in handy. That was very useful for strengthening his body because he could focus on that section, making everything easier.

At first glance, that was the most noticeable thing, but when he looked closer, he could tell that his body had numerous natural mechanisms that others shouldn’t have.

He found that this natural mechanism moved smoothly throughout his body, although he did not feel it. That allowed it to always be active, and it was like the movement of blood: As long as there was life, it would naturally move and do its part of the work.

Matthew was amazed, but when he saw this, he felt the need to see how blood became vampiric power. He was never taught that at the Academy, and even Alice doesn’t seem to know. Although he already has a theory about it, there was nothing like watching it on his own.

So he quickly gulped down a mug of blood.

Immediately, his vampirism worked in unison and independently, focusing on that blood to process it quickly and convert it into vampiric power. His work was meticulous and in full view of Matthew. It seemed like a simple yet truly enigmatic and powerful mechanism was unleashed within him as he sought to devour the blood greedily.

This blood was quickly turned into a deep reddish energy, which looked a bit like the vampiric power he could wield. Said reddish energy, then crept to surround every part of his body until there remained a small and very thin layer of energy that was almost imperceptible, surrounding his entire body from the inside.

The color was still deep reddish, slightly different from the color of the vampiric power he could see.

’Just as humans have Mana as energy and as strength, we vampires also have our energy, but such energy is not our strength. The work of vampirism is only to transform blood into energy, blood energy. Subsequently, the physical training will take care of processing all that blood energy and turn it into vampiric power.’

’Because the physical training takes care of the conversion, we can use it naturally without needing to understand it. That was a remarkable change and really impressive. But there was something else.

’I have a lot of blood energy that hasn’t yet been converted into vampire power. That’s bad; it means I haven’t been training my body properly.’

If he thought about it, it made sense. He had been training well but by human standards. But now he was no longer one; his body worked differently. Now, the main energy inside him was not mana; it was blood, which had highly uncontrollable attributes.

But he was not yet at his limit. ’I should still be able to get a little stronger. And it’s not due to my body, but rather my level of control. Perhaps it was his power, his unique ability, or all the knowledge gained after receiving the First Awakening that allowed him to realize it all at an astonishing level of detail. Still, he soon stopped thinking and smiled in satisfaction.

He had surpassed 100,000 power, but he had no plans to stop until he reached his current limit, so he thought about trying to kill a few more people.

He reached down and cut the body in half, and inside was a block of ice. He thawed it slightly until a fairly small block of ice surrounded a small dagger.

The reason the dagger had not exploded was because he had frozen it. It’s not the first time he’s done this. He has quite a large collection of these daggers in his ring. All are frozen and waiting for the time when he can investigate them.

He has always wondered: Why are these little daggers considered a curse? And where do they come from?

Honestly, he never bought the story that the human race created and abandoned it when they were so good at controlling their main enemy: Vampires.

There was no way that was the case, and certainly not when it came to that organization. Those guys had a similar organization in the human race, only it seemed more entrenched there.
