Progenitor Vampire: I Have Many Skills!

Chapter 470: The Heir

That’s why he had a collection of them in his ring and would soon research them. Adding one more to the collection was second nature to him.

Subsequently, he stood up, ignoring the corpse at his feet, and looked ahead, wanting to go kill a few people. Still, he looked back instead. One person was quite far away from him, but in one motion, he appeared next to him.

"Looks like you’ve been working." Jack Allen said, and Matthew smiled.

"I came out to play for a while. Sometimes, I get the urge to kill a few people along the way, too." He replied nonchalantly.

Jack Allen shook his head and sighed, looking at the body below. "That mountain was pretty powerful and rumored, but it looks like you killed it in one fell swoop. We really underestimated you."

Matthew looked at him briefly and then shrugged as he turned around to start walking. "Well, he was certainly strong enough. He’s the first one I’ve seen who can use vampiric power and his body so well." He replied.

"I can see you already understand why I’m here." Jack said. "Why aren’t you doing anything?" He continued with a question.

Matthew then stopped and turned to look at him. "Jack Allen, you certainly have amazing power. But why do you want to tempt death?" he asked.

Jack Allen frowned. "What do you mean?" he asked.

"Trying to kill me is tempting death, Jack Allen." Matthew replied, smiling softly.

Jack Allen, for a moment, was surprised but then simply laughed. "I think you’re a bit narcissistic to think you could actually threaten my life. I’m not as weak as some people think, being the ’Third of the 14 Heirs’, but if you want to think that being the third is being weak, my respect for you will go up in smoke." He replied.

Matthew let out a snort with his mouth.

"You’ll be able to be very strong in front of everyone. You may be very strong even before Gray Allen himself. But, before me, you are still one of the Heirs with Destiny. That’s all you are. Why haven’t you ever asked yourself what that destiny is? What is the background and the true mission of an Heir with Destiny?"

Jack Allen frowned after hearing this. He had struck an important chord in his heart— the mission of the Heir with Destiny. Everyone wanted to know it, but no one knew it for sure.

Gray Allen believes that the Heirs with Destiny have two missions: one is in Vampire Limbo, and the other is to protect the race. And maybe he’s not wrong; Jack Allen understood it that way, too. But was that really the mission?

"What do you mean?" Jack asked. If Matthew knew it, that might explain why his father had chosen him.

But Matthew didn’t answer.

Jack Allen then sighed and shook his head. ’To think that someone outside would know it is foolish, ’ he thought and made the doors behind him disappear, which, for some reason, he had left active.

After that, he spoke. "I originally planned to play cards around you. The position you have either belongs to me or Alice. Only one of us is worthy; that’s what I thought. That’s why I even thought about killing you." n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Matthew stared at him. "So?" he asked.

Jack smiled. "So you allowed me to lead the complaints against Clan City to increase my status. I don’t understand. You surely, with your wisdom, knew my intentions from the beginning; why do you still insist on increasing my status?" he asked, and Matthew sighed.

"You’re not very smart, although you’re pretty strong and have guts. Intelligence is gained over time, but guts are something you are born with. I realized that there were people around me who lacked guts. My chosen one to lead that situation was a man who lacked the guts to step up at crucial moments. Then, on a whim, I looked behind me and realized you were worthy.

That’s all." Matthew replied nonchalantly, surprising Jack.

"That’s all?" he asked, in shock, and Matthew smiled.

For a brief moment, his body flickered, and instantly, he appeared in front of Jack. Find adventures on empire

"I have never cared about the Allen Leader’s position. Gray Allen’s reasons for choosing me are obvious to me, but most of you don’t understand. No, he wasn’t trying to develop you. Honestly, he chose me because he wants me to be the guardian of the Allen Clan. Do you understand? I will answer you about the mission of a Heir with Destiny right now." He said, raising his hand towards Jack’s heart.

"My last name is Dietrich; it’s not Allen. My Clan is not Allen, do you understand now?" Suddenly, he squeezed his hand, and Jack Allen’s heart gave a tremendous flip, hurting him immensely. His whole being shuddered, and his abilities trembled with a roar.

Surprised, he almost failed to resist, but he managed to wriggle out of Matthew’s grip, moving his abilities to the front and out with a door behind him, moving several meters away.

Matthew looked at this and moved no further.

"You, Heirs and longers for the status of an Heir with Destiny, are only people chosen by my blood, to obtain my abilities."

"The only mission you people have is to guard my abilities until I return. That is your mission. It is the mission of Cecily Edevane and Charles Relish, even Gray Allen’s. It is the true mission of all Heirs with Destiny."

"Do you understand now? You’re nothing but a vessel, and you’re trying to assassinate the owner of your power? That’s having a lot of guts but at the same time... It’s having an intense death wish."

Although he spoke nonchalantly, Jack Allen could feel a tremendous sense of crisis through his entire body with every word. It was fear.

Yes, he was feeling fear, his body inside trembling with fear. He could understand his words, and his body and abilities could understand him to the point of shuddering.

"You... You are a Dietrich..." His voice trembled as he said it, and he almost bit his tongue.

But, no.

He wasn’t just any Dietrich.

He couldn’t be just any Dietrich.

Matthew smiled a little and shook his head slightly before speaking.

"In the Ancient Era, they called me The Heir." He smiled.

Matthew turned around and walked slowly toward where he wanted to go. He was neither going fast nor slow but soon disappeared into the darkness, leaving a terrifying silence in the place, with only one witness who was finding it hard even to breathe.
