The beast became alert as its instincts could sense a terrible threat coming from the man, the beast's eyes were fixed on him as he moved carefully then suddenly the beast launched a deadly attack towards Zhao Li Xin.

Zantera pounced on Zhao Li Xin but missed, then the beast spewed acid at him but the eternal blue flames vaporized the acid, however, when the flames burned the acid it became poisonous smoke that filled the entire area around them. It should be able to erode the lungs of anyone who inhales it, fortunately, this much poison didn't have much effect on a cultivator like Zhao Li Xin.

The beast let out a furious screech that echoed throughout the Labyrinth, frightening the weak beasts but attracting the attention of other powerful beasts nearby.

Zhao Li Xin takes a powerful leap towards the beast like a cannonball. Then he threw a punch at the beast's head causing the beast to stagger, after that Zhao Li Xin gathered the fire in both hands until it became a giant fire sphere. When he was finished, he threw the sphere over the beast's head, a second later the sphere suddenly shattered into pieces and then fell like a meteor shower ceaselessly hitting the beast's body.

A booming sound mixed with the beast's terrifying screech as the fire burned its skin leaving a black trail that showed its attack was successful.

Hence, the battle continues as the giant centipede fights for its life but Zhao Li Xin will not give the creature the chance. Zhao mobilized the Qi from his dantian to the limit without caring about the risks.

Blazing blue flames gathered on his fist a second later he threw a long-range punch at the beast soon the flames shot out mimicking the tip of a sharp blade which then split the zantera's body like a hot knife on the butter then burned the entire carcass of the beast.

The body of the giant beast was still writhing as the fire devoured its body fiercely at the same time Zao Li Xin stood with tattered clothes that were burnt in the middle of the dancing flames accompanied by crackling sounds.

Zhao Li Xin felt the Qi in his body fluctuate, indicating that he would soon experience a breakthrough. He sat down in the lotus position to meditate soon the familiar scorching energy flared up inside his body burning him inside out causing his body to tremble profusely from excruciating pain.

His whole body was drenched in sweat but he didn't budge instead he focused more and more on absorbing all the tumultuous energy into his dantian until finally, something exploded inside him indicating he finally got a breakthrough however it was not ordinary breakthrough cause he managed to skip all the stages and straight to a grandmaster level.

 When Zhao Li Xin was finished his entire body was enveloped in extraordinary energy he could also feel every bone and fiber of his body becoming stronger and he was getting closer to his former strength.

A satisfied chuckle escaped from his lips despite his miserable condition right now. Only Zhao Li Xin would be crazy enough to push his body to its limits to forcefully open the blockages in his blood vessels letting his Qi burst out like a broken dam, though it proved beneficial however this action had dire consequences cause if his body was not strong enough he would broke his dantian that turn himself into a complete wasted.

Even so, Zhao Li Xin didn't think his actions were completely reckless because in his hands he already held the Elysian crystal that Lory prepared for him just in case there was a mishap, luckily enough, everything went smoothly. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Despite his success, if Lory knew what he was doing, the problem wouldn't have been solved by just simple coaxing, Zhao Li Xin could already imagine Lory endlessly scolded for taking a grave risk, still, Zhao Li Xin didn't regret it because he was used to pained. All his life he had been in pain so what's the harm in suffering a momentary pain like this? It's nothing compared to his previous struggles in cultivation, absolutely nothing not to mention he doing this for Lory.

After he finished meditating, Zantera's carcass had turned into black charcoal that fumes thin grey smoke, and the room that was previously lit by blue flames was now engulfed in the same darkness.

Zhao Li Xin suddenly felt uncomfortable and only then realized that he was half naked all this time. His body was dirty and sticky with sweat, causing the perfectionist Lord instantly disgusted with his current situation, at the same time he was also grateful that Lory was not here to meet him in a disheveled state.

Zhao Li Xin sluggishly pulled himself up from the ground when he suddenly realized another important thing he had forgotten, it was his cell phone! Zhao Li Xin looked left and right looking for his cell phone, and then he remembered putting his cell phone in his jacket pocket, not long afterward his expression became stiff he wasn't sure if the phone managed to survive during the fight.

"Oh no!" The man who was able to remain cool during his fight with a powerful monster was now frantically looking for his phone.

Panicking, he looked everywhere for his cell phone. after a while he finally found his jacket half burnt in the corner. He immediately checked the inside of his jacket pocket. When his finger touched the surface of the cell phone, he immediately took out his cell phone to check if the phone still worked!

He was utterly delighted when his cell phone screen lit up even though he didn't get any signal, apart from the cracked screen and dents in several parts the cell phone still worked!

Looks like his wife's money wasn't spent in vain, Zhao heaved a sigh of relief after he confirmed his cell phone was still working but then another thought came to mind 'Now, where is my backpack?' once again he looked left and right.

Currently, Zhao really misses Mong Ki and Mong Yi who always meticulously took care of his needs without showing any complaints, in fact, Zhao Li Xin thinks he never gave those loyal servants the well-deserved appreciation.

Zhao Li Xin pinched his temples tiredly while trying to remember where he left his backpack, in the end, he had no choice but to trace the trail of where he came from. After about half an hour he finally found his backpack which turned out to be quite far from where he had fought the beasts earlier.

Zhao Li Xin rummaged through his backpack and then found a pack of miscellaneous stuff including unscented body wipes, a few water bottles, several food rations, and a new outfit with a note attached.

'I bought a special anti-heat robe, I don't know if it works to resist the immortal flame, but I hope it does because I would hate to imagine you naked every time you use your flame, not when I'm not there!'

Zhao Li Xin's lips curved into an amused smile, he wondered what Lory's face would look like when she found out he hadn't heeded her warnings…on second thought, he wouldn't let he know, he would make sure of that!

After finishing wiping the remaining sweat on his body, he wore a black tunic with a long-sleeved outer robe and black leather trousers. Zhao Li Xin then noticed a roll of black cloth that looked like a towel at the bottom of the backpack which took up quite a lot of space, curiously he checked to see what is it, turned out it was a pair of boots made of cloth no wonder he thought it's towel roll however the material seemed more durable than ordinary cloth.

Zhao Li Xin glanced at the boots his wearing that were already wrecked from exerting his flame, he let out a long sigh feeling grateful for Lory's meticolous preparation. Zhao Li Xin immediately changed his clothes and then rested for a while.

He took out the water bottle and the food ration to fill his stomach after his done he continued to meditate to stabilize his sudden increase in cultivation so as not to damage his body and foundation later on.

It took a complete twenty hours before he finished meditating, afterward, he felt the raging Qi inside him become calm and stable. Zhao Li Xin several times crossed intersections at each intersection he found strange symbols in the form of a tree and a woman in long clothes holding some kind of fruit or something placed side by side, but their position was not always in the same place.

The woman is sometimes placed on the left but at other intersections, she will be placed on the right, without a clear pattern, after much contemplation, Zhao Li Xin guessed that this was some kind of directional sign.

Curious about this, Zhao Li Xin followed the flower symbol, when the flower symbol was on the right he would take the right path, when the flower symbol was on the left he would take the left path, and so on. Several times Zhao Li Xin encountered wild animals roaming the areas he passed but they didn't bother him as much as before due to his increased strength he didn't experience as much trouble as before.

Suddenly he heard a faint human voice from behind him and it seemed like there was more than one person. Zhao threw his sword until it penetrated the upper wall after which he jumped and bounced from wall to wall, nimbly climbing the vertical wall with ease and then he landed smoothly on the surface of the sword.

His pair of cold eyes stared down the path below him like a predator eyeing his prey,

"Bella, I think he went this way!" a young man's voice echoed.

"Are you sure he went this way" came a gruff voice that sounded uncertain.

"You see the trail of animal carcasses behind us, there are also blood footprints leading this way so how could I be wrong" answered the young man irritably.

"Stop fighting" Suddenly a woman's voice was heard interrupting the argument between them "Izzy, look where that man is going now!" she ordered the young man like a boss.

But the young man wasn't offended instead he sounded very happy "Yes, Bella!" The other man makes a loud snort that even Zhao Li Xin can hear clearly, soon the corner of Zhao Li Xin curls into an eerie smile 'They finally here'
