Chapter 1258 Attack from The Sky III
1258 Attack from The Sky III
"Hush, be quiet everyone!" Lory raised her finger in the air to shut everyone down.
They were stunned but obediently shut their mouth. Lory pressed her index finger on her lips as a sign for everyone to keep their voice down Lory then said with a low voice "Balrog though it has bad sight it got keen hearing so try not to make a sound..."
Everyone simultaneously clamped their mouth shut not daring to make any sounds not even breathing, the whole plane became very quiet they could hear the dragging beat of their own heart.
Garrof nudged Lory's arm then leaned closer to her ear "What about the airplane engine?"
Lory's eyes bulged, she had forgotten about that!
Once again the sound of the flute was heard, Lory could feel her bile rising to her throat, "What is he doing, is he crazy!" Lory rushed to the cockpit but was too late, an ear-splitting high-pitched screech echoed not long after the plane was again hit by turbulence that was even worse than before, causing Lory to fall onto the aisle floor.
Garrof who followed Lory also stumbles to his knee thus right away he holds the armrest so he will not fall on his face, "The Balrog is angry!"
"I know!" Lory gritted her teeth and forced herself to stand up after that she continues dashed towards the pilot's cockpit passing Nora, Milly and all the VIP passengers were cowering under the seat trembling to their cores.
Lory glanced at them briefly at the group of men and women wearing gaudy outfits with ridiculous shoes, thinking it was quite funny but only for a second because they were still in a dangerous situation.
Lory promptly banged the cockpit door loudly, It didn't take long for the door to be open and it was by Lloyd. However, behind Lloyd, she saw Liam and Angela holding the unconscious Xuyu in his arms as blood coming out of the poor girl's nose and eyes indicated that she had overused his strength and now she would suffer the consequences.
Lory felt sorry for the young girl but she couldn't do anything for her that wouldn't reveal her secret therefore she had to wait and see the situation before she did anything, that too if necessary.
"Pri..Uhm, Raven what's wrong?" Lloyd once again almost blurted out Lory's identity.
"I will clear the flock when it's clear lower down the plane altitude then fly through cloud, we need to get away from the balrog sight as much as we can" Lory suddenly said.
"What?" Lloyd's jaw dropped.
"Just tell the pilot!" Garrof said in a peremptory tone.
Lloyd had a tacit understanding with Garrof, he also believed in Lory wholeheartedly therefore without any further questions he turned to the pale-looking pilot.
"You heard what she said!"
The pilot was stunned because he thought they were crazy "Flying through the cloud is very dangerous!" the pilot understandably furious.
"I know, but being shredded in pieces by Balrog is far more dangerous don't you think?" Lory raised her brows.
The pilot and his partner exchanged glances, they just realized how bad the situation they were in, the pilot gulped then noticeably changed his tone "We'll follow your order mam!"
"Good!" Lory nods "Lloyd you stay here to keep an eye on from here when the flock moves away from the plane you slowly lower the altitude, and Garrof you go with me!"
"Yes, mam!" Lloyd and Garrof answer in tunes like soldiers.
After she finish giving the order Lory and Garrof rushed to the very end of the plane, they pulled the knob towards the cargo area.
Luckily, this plane was bigger than a normal commercial plane therefore the cargo area was spacious and there wasn't much luggaged cause the passengers were only company and the artist staff and few of their entouraged, so it gave a lot of space for Lory and Garrof to moves around.
As they arrived at the cockpit door Lory gave another order "I create a wind barrier around the cargo door so the plane remains stable you hold the door for me and make sure no Wyvern approaches the door, don't forget to use silencer we cannot drew the Wyvern attention either"
"Okay, and what are you going to do princess?"
"Distract the Balrogh's attention from our plane, that beast is known to be easily provoked, maybe I can do something about it," Lory contemplated her plan.
"You have a good idea princess?" Garrof suddenly got excited.
"Idea, yes, but is it good?...meh, we'll see," Lory shrugs nonchalantly.
Garrof's lips curved downwards but he didn't say anything, he placed his hand on the cargo door handle, normally the door handle couldn't open while the plane was still in the air but with the gift of body strengthening Garrof was able to exert inhuman strength to open the cargo door but previously he created a barrier to block the wind which would cause a sudden decompression causing the plane to break up.
"Ready?" Garrof prepared to open the door.
Lory finished tying her hair into a high ponytail then threw away her jacket to the side, after she was done Lory gave a firm nod, "Hit it!"
"Here we go!" Garrof exerted his strength throughout his body causing bluish veins to pop on his arms as he was forced to push open the cargo door.
As soon as the door opened, a strong wind immediately slaps their face if not because Lory immediately creates a barrier around the door their body and the whole cargo will be sucked away from the plane.
Lory took a deep breath as she began to chant spells, shortly after a thick white mist came then slowly enveloped the entire plane, at the same time Garrof installed a special silencer on the muzzle of his weapon afterward he took a shooting position.
"I'm going," said Lory.
"Good luck, Your Highness" Garrof winked.
Lory jumped from the plane letting the wind carry her body as soon as she stepped out the white wings on her back spread beautifully, without going any further she glided through the mist then landed smoothly on the plane.
From there Lory not only avoided the sight of the people in the plane he could also see better how many Wyveryns were around them after that he looked up then saw a giant beast called a Balrog flying not far away above the plane but just like Lory expected the rumbling sounds from the airplane drawn the beast's attention as it gradually moved closer to the plane.
Fortunately, because of the fog around the plane, the Balrog lost the exact position of the plane as well as the Wyverns who were flying chaotically, the beasts seemed confused by the fog thus they started to slow down their flight.
Which would give her a chance!
Lory opened her palm summoning the trinity staff Afterwards she turned it into a bow. Using a wind arrow, he aimed it at one of the Wyverns. He narrowed his eyes while pulling the bowstring, then a second later he released his hand and the arrow shot through the air at high speed it slit through the thick fog then accurately hit the Wyvern wing. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
The Wyvern immediately let out a long, painful screech.
This not only shocked the other Wyverns but also attracted the Balrog's attention but that was not enough. Lory made a powerful leap into the sky then he flew past the Balrog, for a moment the Beast and Lory's eyes met.
Lory spun her body in the air, her white wings spread widely it block the sunlight. She swiftly pulled the bowstring and a second later she released several wind arrows at once, just like meteor rain the arrows rained down on the wyvern flock hitting their wings and body. Lory knew the attack would not kill the beasts but only make them angry but that was exactly what she wanted.
Lory's attack evoked the beast's survival instinct and since the attack came from above, the Wyveryns thought that it came from the Balrog. Although normally Wyverns would not challenge Balrog head to head but it was animal instinct to fight back when they felt threatened and that was what happened here.
Soon after the group of Wyverns gathered in formation they then charged towards the Balrog they spewed fire breath and stabbed their sharp claws and fangs at the Balrog causing the beast enraged, then instantaneously the war between the beasts commenced.
Lory watched from afar feeling satisfied with her goal achieved, she waved her hand as soon as the mist enveloped her hiding her presence. Lory flew after the plane which managed to escape the Wyverns siege and the Balrog's attention.
Lory glided freely as the wind brushed her face. Lory closed her eyes to soak in the moment as it had been a while since she flew in the sky like this however a longing feeling tugged the string in her heart as she remembered the old friends that used to cheer her.
'Good job girl!' is what he would say to her.
Tears gather in the corner of her eyes but she immediately shakes her head to get rid of those negative feelings she takes a deep breath and then reminds herself 'This is not the end, I'll save him from that place one way or another, just wait!'
As soon as Lory entered the cargo door, Garrof felt relief afterward he lowered his weapon.
"This is easier than I thought" Garrof looked a little disappointed.
Lory retracted her wings and then said with a smile: "We'll get a chance"
Garrof groaned as he closed the cargo door while Lory took her jacket from the floor and put it on.
"This is the first time I saw a Balrog after the Dark War ended, to be honest, I thought they were extinct"
Lory pondered for a moment then said, "Balrogs are territorial creatures they were known to be cruel and violent whether to humans or the other beasts so If this was their territory, Wyverns would not dare to cross it..."
"Do you think there is something that makes the Wyverns dare to cross Balrog territory?"
Lory rests her arms on her hip and then shakes her head "I wonder if this is true Balrog territory? You said yourself no one had seen a Balrog since the dark war ended, so why did it suddenly appear now?"
The corner of Garrof's eyes creased with deep concern, "You mean the collision between the Wyvern and Balrog was a mere coincidence, perhaps something caused Balrog to cross this area?"
"I'm not sure but If that's true, then what it could be?" her eyes formed a question. A question he does not dare to answer. His heart pounded at the thought of the possibility of the immense danger haunting the world once again.
