Chapter 225
Well, it wasn’t even surprising anymore. The mutant monster had been tamed. By me.
"That was ridiculously easy."
Ezra’s words from before echoed in my mind. Mutant monsters had enough intelligence to recognize a superior predator—and once they did, they obeyed.
"Sit."
At my command, the creature obediently lowered itself to the ground.
Leonardo had at least been interesting to tame, but this thing… Its zombie-like form made the whole process feel repulsive.
For now, I found something resembling a leash and tied it off to the side.
"But Cherry, are you feeling alright now?"
Ethan’s voice cut in. I flinched and glanced at him.
I knew exactly what he was referring to. He was talking about that moment earlier—when I had almost lost myself before taming the mutant.
Until now, I had never once felt shame when hacking apart monsters with my axe.
But this… This was different.
It felt like I had become nothing but an instinct-driven beast. That I wasn’t any different from those crazed monsters. My face burned.
"Sir Ethan, I…"
What should I say to sound like a normal person?
Then, it hit me. A normal person wouldn’t even be having this dilemma in the first place.
Yeah. I wasn’t normal.@@novelbin@@
Nothing had happened to make me angry, yet I had nearly lost control. What the hell was happening to me?
I was scared.
"…Cherry, do you know something?"
What if I completely lost myself?
"I have antibodies in my blood. If people found out, what do you think they’d do to me?"
- I later learned that Baron Ruskin had already been dead for some time.
What do you think?
