The Male Leads Are Trapped in My House

Chapter 218

An Unexpected Reaction

I stared at them, a bit dumbfounded.

People were hugging each other, crying, shaking as they clung to their neighbors.

Donal, the leader of this camp, clutched the paper I had given him and lowered his head. His broad shoulders trembled.

He was crying.

A massive man like that, silently sobbing, his frame shaking like a leaf—it was honestly a little unsettling.

Alex must have noticed my expression because he leaned in and whispered.

"Our boss… he’s a good man. Kindhearted, really. He saved my life."

I looked at Donal again, this time with a more complicated expression.

For some reason, he reminded me of Nick, the leader of Sinclair Hotel in Kint.

All these middle-aged men leading survivor camps were so sentimental.@@novelbin@@

Well, Nick didn’t cry, at least.

Donal must have gone through hell to reach this point.

If a riot had escalated this much, I could only imagine how much pressure he had been under from the people in this camp.

But while everyone was celebrating, they seemed to have already decided that I would be sharing the department store’s resources with them.

I hadn’t said a damn thing about that.

It was clear that most of them hadn’t really experienced true horror yet.

They still didn’t understand that the real monsters weren’t the ones outside—but the ones standing next to them.

They were too innocent to be this happy.
