Chapter 1256 How to Earn Money

Chapter 1256  How to Earn Money

"Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit!"

Whoosh!

Redirecting all of his newfound strength towards his legs, Valyr dashed out of the forest at the fastest speed he could muster as he began to head back to Algerie Kingdom.

"Two days… two days have passed since I first appeared in Veldanyr again," muttered the young man to himself amidst his running, the gears in his mind spinning on overdrive.

"Considering the time difference between Earth and here, over 7 hours have already passed on Earth, which means…"

"Thomas is finally out of his work shift!"

Indeed.

The reason why the fact that he spent two days just to absorb elixirs and skills made him panic was due to the promise he made with Thomas while the game was still in maintenance.

Although the purpose behind the promise was in order for the two of them to earn significant amounts of money they could use back on Earth, Valyr also planned to use it as a way to establish greater friendship with him.

After all, if everything else went according to how it did in his past life, the organization Thomas would end up creating in the future would become a massive boon to their side by the time the final battle arrived.

'Thank the heavens I had the foresight to leave a spatial bracelet for my player self,' thought Valyr as he briefly glanced at the unassuming bracelet around his right wrist.

With him having stored all of the remaining items he'd yet to use inside the bracelet, it went without saying that the young man would no hesitate to protect the bracelet with all his life.

After all, some of the other items he'd prepared for his player self were needed for the other plans he had in mind.

Whoosh!

Reminding himself that Thomas was undoubtedly waiting for him to appear at the village at any minute now, Valyr pushed his body even further, allowing him to arrive at the kingdom's gates around half an hour later.

"Where could he be, I wonder?"

Standing near the spawn point within Daffors Village, Thomas waited by the side of one of the nearby buildings as he thought about his experiences of Greater Beyond so far.

Although Valyr's promise had made him more eager to play the game as soon as possible, he was already planning to play the game before the young man had even asked him.

After all, with almost every gaming channel talking about how Greater Beyond was turning out to become the most realistic and most fun True Immersion VRMMORPG to date, Thomas wanted to see for himself whether the game could back those claims up.

Thankfully, it did not take him too long to find out that it did.

Being hit with a wave of nausea and vertigo a few moments after he was done creating his player avatar, Thomas immediately noticed that there seemed to be no latency between his thoughts and the actions his avatar made.

Aside from that, unlike the various worlds the VRMMORPGs of the past players were put into, the young man felt that there was no hint of artificiality to the world surrounding him whatsoever. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

With that in mind, it made him think about how much time the company behind the game spent developing Greater Beyond, feeling that the world they were in was a good reason why the game took so long to release.

"Now, if only Valyr could show up, I'd be able to explore more of what the game has to offer," muttered Thomas, letting out a faint sigh as he'd been waiting for over half an hour already.

"…mas!"

"…Thomas!"

Fortunately, just as those words left his mouth, the young man soon heard a familiar voice screaming out for his name, prompting him to glance in the direction of the voice.

Seeing that the man shouting his name out had a head of light gray hair and a pair of golden eyes, Thomas could not help but let out a slight chuckle the moment the man appeared in front of him.

"What a flashy appearance," said Thomas, his chuckles turning into full-on laughter not long after.

Valyr rolled his eyes in response. "Not like you're any better."

"Well, you're not wrong," replied Thomas with a slight smile.

If Valyr's light gray hair and golden eyes made him look like an aristocrat that seemed difficult to be friends with, then Thomas' spiky red-orange hair and clear eyes made him look like a warrior that had gone utterly berserk.

With the two standing side by side, the two had unsurprisingly caught the attention of some of the other players, with a few even posting their pictures on the forum for a bit of a laugh.

"Come with me for now." Oblivious to what the other players thought about their appearances, Valyr asked Thomas to follow him for the meantime as he made his way to the other side of the village.

"Where are we going?" asked Thomas in response, his gaze shifting between all of the buildings they came across. "Does this have something to do with our promise?"

"It does." Valyr nodded, having already used [Analysis] on Thomas as he began to come up with a plan in his mind.

"For it to work, we first have to raise our levels to the peak of Rank 0, which is Level 10."

Saying these words, Valyr gave Thomas a brief overview of how getting stronger in Greater Beyond worked, going over the level, class, and skill system in slight detail.

By the time they've finally passed through the village gates, the two of them went ahead and added themselves to each other's friend lists, immediately causing to the two of them to let out laughter at the names they chose.

"Ataraxia? Seriously? What are you? An eighth-grader?"

"Just so you know, there's no way to change names later on," replied Valyr with a shrug, only to look at Thomas with a smug grin. "At the very least, Ataraxia sounds cool."

"On the other hand, GodKingThomas is…"

"Shut up" was all Thomas could say in response to his teasing, his complexion slightly paling once he heard he wasn't able to change his name in the future.

Wanting to shift the topic of their conversation away from their names, Thomas decided to ask for more information from Valyr on how they'd earn a lot of money from Greater Beyond.

"So, after we hit Level 10, what are we going to do next, exactly?"

"We'll be heading to a forest called the Verdant Woodlands not far from the village," replied the young man, eager to explain as they continued to move through the outskirts.

"Although the beasts and monsters there are made for Rank 1 class holders and above, we're only going to roam around the outer region at most, which greatly reduces our chances of encountering those kinds of monsters."

"And then?" asked Thomas, his eyebrow raised in curiosity.

"We're going to search for a specific plant and a specific monster," said Valyr in response.

"That'll be our ticket to earning lots of money."
