Lord MMORPG: The Demon Progenietor

Chapter 85 Hobgoblin level 98 (2)

Henry was stunned. 'I thought that he forgot my face.' He smiled bitterly.

"Why would you leave your weapon lying around?" Henry asked in an innocent tone. "I thought it was abandoned."

"I actually forgot that I had somewhere to put it and just left it on the ground." Xander shrugged. 'Yeah that's true. As a player or whatever I can access an inventory where I can store stuff that I don't want to be carrying in hand.' He also noted this.

He still had a forgetful mind for these kind of things. If it is something like the feeling of grabbing a girl's waist then it would be etched in his memory for life until he feels a better girl.

They decided to leave him but something changed that night. They all had new found respect for him.

'If we survive and bring him to the city those knights won't be able to touch us as an ally of the powerful challenger of the dragon cave.' Hex immediately thought. 'Damn. Gary was right. I have abnormal farsight issues, but it has helped us for a long time.' He thought as he tucked himself in bed.

'He said he didn't want to sleep tonight, wonder why.' Hex thought as he entered his tent to sleep.

Xander was outside, standing alone while staring at the skies.

There was an abundance of stars in the sky tonight, something was weird to see on his planet and only occurred rarely.

'If this world wasn't filled with dangerous monsters then it would be perfect.' Xander thought.

A feeling of sadness and hurt began to creep at his heart and he clutched it silently.

He couldn't help but think about all the things that has happened. All the people that got hurt, the people he lost, and the ones he could lose if he didn't find the ghoulshippers in time.

...

The next morning came and the group decided to move down the mountain and abandoned the makeshift tents since it was made out animal skin anyway.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

As they walked more to a particular direction they arrived at a part that sloped downwards but also forward. It was a slanted road.

"It's a long way down." Hex said with a smile as he looked at Xander.

"I'll make it." Xander said and they began to walk down the sloped path.

They stayed quiet most of the time. Xander noticed that the rest of the group except Hex were looking around nervously as if they were afraid of something.

Xander then walked forward to Hex and asked in a low tone, "What are they doing?"

"They must be scared as a powerful monster normally roams the slope." Hex shrugged.

"Oh. Okay," Xander was finally calm. No monster, in level 99 and below could pose a threat to him. With the dragon scale he could defeat level 100 beasts so he wasn't afraid one bit.

'He was so calm when I told him that there is a powerful beast in the area. I'm even more confident in his strength now.' Hex thought with a wide grin, happy that they were going to make it to the city.

It wasn't long before that the group started to see footprints on the floor of a humanoid creature which had three fingers on its feet.

"Is this it?" Xander asked and Hex nodded in response.

The others behind Hex were visibly shaking, fearful of what was lurking in the forests beside them.

Xander just sighed and as he was about to stand up he heard the sound of a blade cutting through air and he waved his spear upwards, slicing just in front of Gary's face.

*Clank!*

His spear hit something!

A blade fell to the ground in front of Henry. It was the blade of a sword but there was a thin chain which lead to the forest connecting it.

"Hehehehehe, more treasures for me. Hehehehehe." An annoying voice reached his ears and he tensed up and looked at where the chain led to.

There was nothing in sight but in the next moment something came from within the forest onto the wide clear path.

It was a bald humanoid, green skinned creature with long ears and pitch black eyes... no pupils.

The creature stood at 6.5 feet tall with long arms that reached below its waist. It's legs were long but not fitting for its body and it was ripped and it's muscles were visible.

"Hehehehe. I want that."' The goblin looked at Xander while holding the chain and spinning the blade of a sword, while locking its lips.

Xander looked behind and just asked, "Are any of you above level 50?"

All of them were stunned at what he said and they just looked at themselves in confusion.

"Just forget it." Xander said as he put his hand out of him and the small bead on the dragonscale ring glowed as an armour began to form all over his body.

It was like he was growing his scales all over his body.

Then the helmet covered its head, it's usual spikes running from his forehead all the way back to just above his butt.

'Let me test this mode of the dragon scale, The dragon king form. I haven't used it to fight before and had to protect Hannah at that time.' With that thought he willed the armour to change and he felt energy being sucked out of him.

[You have activated the dragon king form.]

The lines between the crimson scales of the armour glowed brightly as wings began to form at his back, spreading and showing their majestic size to the world.

A thin tail formed behind him and he emitted an aura of supremacy as he spun his spear before brandishing it.

"Oooh. More treasures to take!!" The goblin went into a frenzy as it saw the shiny armour Xander wore and charged at him while spinning its chain sword.

Xander jumped towards the goblin, using his wings to give himself a powerful boost. Within a second he appeared in front of the goblin and grabbed it by the waist before flying off the mountain and the goblin tied his wings with the chain of it's blade as it noticed this and they fell.
