Chapter 1156 Hollow Invasion
-----
Elisa and Monica opened their eyes at the same time, finding themselves back home… Well, they never left the house, but after dying they gave up and decided to log out. They were a bit worried about everything, but after receiving a message from Elena saying that all was good at the end, they felt relived.
"That demon… It was very strong, we weren't able to do anything against it," sighed Monica. "I felt so useless… Was my character still too low level? I thought I could use my magic in the game world too but… At the end, it didn't seem that strong."
"Well, on Earth it's pretty strong, but I think we were facing a very strong Demon!" said Elisa. "So it's only natural your magic wouldn't be enough, Monica. Your curses are very powerful, but you need to synch their power with your avatar too… Hahh… though, indeed! I do feel quite useless as well, just when I thought I had attained a strong form and be recognized I… I got killed.
And I was even compared with those Divine Dragons and said to be inferior! S-So frustrating…"
"You're not weak, Elisa, you're pretty strong… I think," said Monica timidly patting her head. "I-I think your dragon form is really awesome… I always wish I could be as strong as you."
"I-Is that so?" Elisa felt slightly embarrassed, blushing at the timid girl's remarks. "W-Well, we lost at the end, and we died… It's frustrating but at the end, it's not like they really need us either…"
"Y-Yeah… We are extras at the end," sighed Monica. "But well, at least we got one another! R-Right?"
"Eh?! W-What are you implying, you little pipsqueak?" sighed Elisa, closing her arms. "But fair enough, I guess we can give each other company for now… Want to practice magic for the moment? I'm quite bored. We can't log in for the next 12 hours anyways! Let's trust auntie Elayne."
"S-Sure!" Monica nodded.
The two girls stretched and had a snack before moving to the backyard, where they met with the little Angel Gabriel, who was tending the garden with the help of the fairy Katherine. Blackie the cat was also around, mostly lazing around, resting over the grass while bathing in the sun.
"And so you add some sprinkles of light here, Gabriel," Katherine said.
"Like this, big sis?" Gabriel wondered, touching a small Spirit Flower and imbuing it with sparkles of his angelic light.
FLASH!
The flower glowed brightly, growing larger and larger, with many beautiful red and blue colored petals, it blossomed beautifully, revealing its yellow-colored interior.
"Woah, look!" Elisa pointed.
"Oooh! Spirits?" Monica wondered.
As the plant blossomed, tiny spirits emerged from it, they were Lesser Spirits that were born from the Spiritual Plants that Planta's Domain would constantly create over time.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
"Well done!" Katherine nodded, clapping. "However, you should have put a bit less energy, this big flower stands out a bit too much, don't you think? It's going to steal all the sun from the surrounding plants. Try to give lesser doses of energy."
"Okay… Oh! Friends? Elisa and Monica, right?" the cute Gabriel flew towards the girls, he was able to float using magic, but only up to a few meters from the ground. "Hi! I thought you were in the other world with big sis?"
"Ah yeah, well, we were defeated so we were… sent back, ahah…" Elisa muttered, feeling embarrassed.
"Hm, there was a big demon that appeared- No, well, I think many demons? And they started attacking an arena we were watching a contest…" sighed Monica. "I wish the contest would have finished without problems… it was fun."
"Oh, the craftsmanship contest that she talked about, huh?" Katherine wondered, flying to the girl's side. "Well, that's a pity, but I am sure that master will handle things with her friends! So you got some free time now, girls? How about I teach you some Spirit Magic in the meantime?"
"S-Spirit Magic? We can learn it?" wondered Elisa. "But I'm fairly sure our magic circles aren't suited? I gained other elemental runes after all!"
"Y-Yeah… Aren't I scary to spirits? The darkness I have is too strong," sighed Monica.
"Oh no! Well, that darkness is certainly powerful, but magic circles are an addition to your magical abilities, did you know? Spirit Magic talent can be awakened in almost any living being, as long as they're spiritually attuned with nature and the elements," Katherine explained. "You see, you two, because you're such good friends with Elayne, have become very attuned with the spirits.
Being around her will do that to you, haha."
"R-Really? That easy?!" muttered Elisa.
"I mean, someone like Elayne is… just a very rare occurrence, she's a near endless source of spiritual power," said Katherine. "So spirits flock around her, and anybody that spends a lot of time at her side will naturally become spiritually attuned! I can sense it within you two."
"Me too! The spirits like you both!" Gabriel nodded. "Umm, I wish I could go to that world though! You said there were evil demons? I hate evil demons! They were the ones that broke my wings… and killed my siblings… Is there no way for me to go there?"
"Honestly I have no idea if a VR helmet would work with an angel…" muttered Elisa. "Sorry, little Gabriel. Maybe we can try later once they're back!"
"Okay!" Gabriel nodded. "Here, eat these flowers I grew, I think they can help you get spiritual energy, if Katherine is going to teach you, you might as start gathering internal spiritual energy too!"
"E-Eat flowers?" muttered Elisa. "Isn't that a bit… No wait, there are certain fancy dishes where you eat roses though! Hmm, well… Just a little taste?"
"Nom!" Monica took a bite off the small flower, her eyes shining. "It's… critic and sweet, like honey… Wow."
"Really? Nom, nom- Oooh?!" Elisa screamed. "Fantastique!"
As the two girls ate the flowers and gathered spiritual energies, Katherine nodded, starting her Spirit Magic classes.
"S-So basically, the basis of this magic is that we need to call upon the spirits?" Elisa wondered.
"Yes, yes! Do that, just be honest and nice, don't be cocky though," said the fairy.
"O-Okay!" Monica nodded.
"Spirits, spirits… Come aid me, right now!"
"Um… C-Could someone… help me out?"
Both were quite… not doing it right.
"Hah, maybe this'll take a bit longer than I imagined?" wondered Katherine. "Hm?"
Suddenly, she noticed something, the sky was beginning to darken, clouds covering the sky and the sun. Blackie, who was relaxing, suddenly stood up, looking around in alert.
"Hissss!"

He hissed angrily at the wall in front of him, as the girls and Gabriel suddenly were alarmed as the clouds continued to cover the sky and everything became darker, a disgusting presence started filling the air.
"W-What's going on? Is it going to rain?" wondered Elisa.
"N-No… there's something evil coming here… I can sense it!" Monica cried.
"There!"
Katherine pointed above the walls of the house, as suddenly, something became coming from out of them, small at first, like a droplet of black goo.
"Oooooohhh…"
"Manaaaa…!"
"Sooouuulssss…"
The groan of many creatures reverberated, followed by many more of them crawling, trying to get inside of the garden. Their bodies were amorphous, made of black goo and soot, with ugly and chimeric shapes.
"Hollows?!" Katherine was shocked. "How did they manage to enter the Domain so easily?!"
