Brand New Life Online: Rise Of The Goddess Of Harvest

Chapter 1155 The Demons' Trump Card...

-----

If it wasn't because her mother arrived in the last moment, Elena would have accidentally destroyed the soul of Arthur attached to Buer, killing an innocent person that was only being manipulate. Well, not so innocent, he did a lot of deplorable things, but all within the thought of everything being a video game, he simply had no idea that what he was doing had real weight.

Thankfully, Planta roughly took away his soul and healed it, letting it go afterwards. Arthur's avatar had been completely pulverized, but at the very least his real-life self would be fine, perhaps with some constipation and headache though.

"Hahhh… I-It's over," sighed Elena, suddenly noticing a notification in front of her. "Huh?"

[You have run out of Internal Sword Ki Essence. You can no longer use {Specialization: Master of the Empty Blade} until it is further restored.]

[You can restore Internal Sword Ki Essence by defeating foes using swordsmanship techniques.]

[The Player ArthurPendragon, who had permanently become a [Monster] has been slain.]n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

[Due to the effects of the [Monster] Status, their account has been terminated upon death.]

"So I can't use this freely… Makes sense, it is way too OP," Elena thought with a sigh. "And Arthur is not going to be a problem anymore, that's a relief. Good riddance."

This also made it make sense why Arthur was able to hurt NPCs and Players alike suddenly directly without any repercussions, the [Monster] Status allowed Players to literally act like monsters themselves, capable of initiating a battle with anybody.

"E-Elena, are you alright?" Elayne sighed, asking for her daughter's health. "Is your soul okay? Let me heal it!"

"Wait, no! Are YOU okay mom?! I am fairly sure I saw you being blown up to bits!" said Elena.

"I'm fine, it was just an Avatar, I brought another one here, though there's a cooldown between each Avatar, so I can't make them infinitely… Once one dies, I actually have to wait 24 hours to make it again," sighed Planta. "Nonetheless, everything is fine! My soul did take quite a hit, it got a bit damaged, but I cleansed it using Celestial Energy and closed the wound, so no worries!"

Although Planta had ran out of Soul Restoration Elixirs, her Soul was tremendously strong, with her ever-growing SOUL Stat, her ability to cultivate it through Soul Forging Arts, which continuously made it slightly stronger through the absorption of Soul Energy, and also her Magic Circle and Angelic Halo Soul Elemental Runes, coupled with her healing magic which she could use to target a soul, she would be alright.

"R-Really? You screamed a lot back then!" Elena cried, hugging her mother.

"Sorry, it hurt a lot though… But I'm fine, calm down!" Elayne caressed her daughter's head. "Anyways, you shouldn't be worrying about me! Where is Elisa?! And Monica?! And Anna!"

"I-I'm here… Ugh, my Familiars are going to take a while to revive," sighed Anna. "But I'm fine, thank you. Elisa and Monica died though…"

"They died?!" Planta gasped. "Let me check where their bodies are!"

She quickly went to check on them, noticing phantasmal bodies of the two. She looked into their souls, finding out the connection was fine, and they weren't hurt, thankfully.

"They're fine… But their avatars did die…" said Planta. "Don't worry though, I got this to help them out! Items that can revive are rare but… I have these Greater Spirit Elixirs that can instantly revive players! I have around eleven right now so let's use them to bring them back!"

Elayne quickly took the elixirs and attempted using on them, but the phantasmal characters suddenly disappeared.

"E-Eh?!"

[You can't use the [Greater Spirit Elixir] on characters that have died and logged out.]

"They logged out?!"

"It seems to be the case, they probably gave up on logging back in," said Elena. "I'll send them a message and tell them to log back in if they want…"

"Well, if they logged out they should be fine!" said Elayne. "More importantly, we should quickly clear this place from the undead and the remaining demons. Let's go! We have to hurry before things get worse…!"

Elayne knew there was something being brewed somewhere, although Elena's attack had temporarily broken the barrier surrounding the arena, whatever she had felt was still there, growing larger and stronger, feeding off something, some sort of energy produced by emotions and corrupted mana.

Negative Energy.

BA DUM!

"There it is again…!"

BA DUM!

The beating of an enormous heart became much more apparent around the arena. Buer's domain fragmented and shattered into pieces as the trio found themselves back in the ruined arena, quickly surrounded by hundreds of Undead monsters.

BA DUM!

"That beating is becoming louder! What the hell is that?!" wondered Elena.

"I think there's some sort of entity hidden somewhere; it's developing!" Anna said. "I can feel its presence growing larger… Summoners like me can sense that's stuff!"

"Yeah, I believe this whole barrier encompassing the arena that doesn't let people escape has another purpose!" said Planta, as she unleashed a storm of attacks made out of elemental spirit swords.

"The despair everyone is feeling, the fights, the anger, the desperation, even those that die, including the undead themselves, they all generate Soul and Negative Energies, and the barrier is absorbing them…!"

"What? Do you mean they made this entire arena into some sort of farming ground for energies?!" asked Elena, as she unleashed a barrage of slashing attacks, interchanging between her Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth stances as she gained Afterglow one after another.

"Not just anybody can do that though!" suddenly, the voice of the Great Spirit echoed from within everyone, as they were all her vessel now. "Not even a wizard should! That's already in the territory of demons! Those damn demons have yet another trump card, and it revolves around this whole barrier! We should break it immediately!"

"I would love to, but as you can see, we got our hands full right now!" Planta said, slashing apart several undead monsters at once. "The other group went to save the queen though, and with that being the last demon… I guess we could work our way to the barrier walls, let's break them, quickly!"

The trio charged fearlessly, channeling the power of Planta's [Aeternitas' Divine Spiritual Vessel Guardian Protection] Skill to gain additional strength.
