Next morning came and Yenna got up early, heading into the forest to pick out some fruits. She didn't take long, come back with arms full finding Vell getting up, his eyes looking tired, as if he didn't get enough sleep. He waved at her, his body looking like it was about to fall back to the ground.

"Rough night?" She asked, putting the fruits in front of him.

He picked one up and took a bite, "yeah, my body is still in bad shape from all the things that have been going on, it feels like my veins trying to tie themselves in knots."

She sat down next to him, took at fruit and played with it, her thoughts drifting away. She glanced at him and hesitated before finally asking, "just what happened? not just last night but back in the city. what happened when i passed out."

He thought for a moment, just eating without answering and then he looked at her, seeing how she is genuinely concerned about his health.

".....its all in the past now, dont worry about it. For now, just eat and get ready, you didn't forget about your training right?"

"I am still worried but if you say its ok then i will believe you. What will you be doing while i train?"

He looked over to the other side of the river, sensing a dark power now that his senses were sharper. "I have something i want to check out, i won't be long."

He whistled and Wren jumped on his lap, rubbing herself against him. "I am going to leave Yenna in your care ok? train her well, dont go easy on her." She purred, acknowledging his command.

"When I come back, we are going to work on refining your core, until then, just learn about feeling the mana all around you and controlling it." He got up, licking his lips and stretching his body.

"Be careful out there, this forest is full of surprises."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Yeah, i am a careful guy."

He crouched and got over to the other side of the river in one leap which shocked both the girls. He waved back one last time before running deeper , disappearing from sight.

Back in Zenith City, two players were plotting something, being careful so they don't get caught. They were seating in the crepe store, acting like they are having a dungeon while in reality, they are talking about the shady things being done by the association.

"Fucking bastards, so they have been drugging us this entire time? i am going to kill them all."

"Shh, keep your voice down, are you trying to get us caught?" she whispered, noticing that a few people were staring. She smiled at them but underneath was hate that was eating away at her.

"Look, right now we need to leave this place and go after Vell. you know in which direction he went right?"

"Yeah, though they are probably long gone by now, i heard he was crazy fast, vanishing out of sight in just a few-" A chill ran down his neck, he knew it was Kana but he made sure not to make eye contact.

"hold on, they? wdym they?" The crepe in her hand got completely squashed, he eyes looking like those of a predator ready to strike.

"C-Cough. is it cold in here or just me, maybe i should order a coffee."

A smack on the table jolted him from his thoughts of avoiding the question. She was releasing more power as time went on and if it continued, she could end up destroying the shop.

"Please calm down. He was seen carrying an unconscious girl. Her name is Yenna, apprentice rank, got registered a few years ago and has been struggling to ,make living until she joined a group that later betrayed her. Knowing him, he probably helped her because of this, he is too soft."

She calmed down, taking in his words but still looking pissed off. "How do we know she is not going to betray him like her teammates?"

"We don't know but if that happens, then i am afraid we can't do anything. No need to worry, Vell has always been resourceful, he will be fine." He took a bite from his crepe and a sip of his drink, enjoying the sweet taste.

"Safe huh...." Memories of when she saw him played in her mind and she just could not help worrying. "Ok, change of plans, we are going to meet that team of hers and ask some questions."

"Huh, that's a terrible idea. What do you think will happen if we go around asking questions. We will come off as suspicious, lets just go with the original plan and leave the city, please don't-"

"I have decided, either you come with or leave, it wouldn't change anything either way."

She got up and walked out of the store, the look in her eyes determined for her answers.

'She has become so cold hearted, does she miss him that much? dammit, i can't just let her go alone, she is going to get herself caught. fuck my life.'

He ran after her and they began looking all over the city for their target until finally, after hours of looking, they found the group leaving a love motel, looking all satisfied. Kana was disgusted at the sight of a girl coming out with 3 guys at her side but this also pissed her off for some reason.

"h-hey, calm down, you are going to end up doing something stupid....kana?" His widened in horror as she was not listening and charging up an attack. "woah woah, Kana, hold o-" She leaped at them and does a flip, landing on the girls head with on hand. The girl looked up in confusion and anger.

"which fucker-....Kana?"

"Hey there, we need to have a little chat."

The girl signaled all her boys to do something but they didn't, they were frozen and then they slowly began falling down, knocked out.

"Alone."

Her eyes were filled with bloodlust and Jolly was about to piss herself just from the fear alone.
