VRMMO: My first Contractee is Yandere

Chapter 95 Against Vampire Knight: Gourmand [2]

"God!"

Liora skillfully uses the battlefield to her advantage. She leaps from tree to tree, sometimes erasing her presence, making it impossible for the vampires to track her.

It's an outside technique she learned from Jack Jack.

It's a combination of concealing her presence and stealth.

Though, in the end, it's nothing more than a trick, but it's certainly making the battle easier.

"Flash!"

Liora unleashes a flash of light, and I create smoke with [Darkness Creation].

Of the ten vampires, seven are silenced with poison, leaving only the Gourmand unaffected by silence. However, even the Gourmand is affected by the poison. While his HP slowly decreases, it seems their regenerative abilities surpass the poison.

"Liora! You smell so good!"

The Gourmand comes flying like a bullet.

In his hands, the psychopathic vampire hold a long spear.

Despite his large and round body, his spear skills are masterful. Liora, who had been on the trees, drops to the ground without responding.

The tree that the Gourmand crashes into shatters like glass.

"Let's finish off the small fry first."

We hadn't been waiting idly.

Considering the possibility of mountain warfare, we had already set traps in advance. Facing the Gourmand and nine other vampires of equal strength, the fact that we haven't lost is due to the traps.

It seems that the silence has lifted, and the vampires start speaking.

"We'll be killed by Vampire Knight! Quickly, steal the consciousness of the little girl!"

"But isn't that girl using [Regeneration] with the help of that dark spirit? Even if we steal the girl's consciousness, the regeneration won't stop. Should we capture her alive…?"

"The spirit will sleep! All we need to do is knock her unconscious and restrain her!"

"Ah, I see!"

Their reasoning is terrifyingly accurate.

Five vampires simultaneously jump at us. Liora closes her eyes for just a moment, then whispers the name of her skill.

"Frenzy."

The large scythe moves at a speed invisible to the naked eye.

What follows from that slender body is a beautiful dance of death. Even I… couldn't help but be mesmerized by her chaotic movements.

Overwhelming.

She cuts down the five vampires purely with the violence of her stats. There's a faint smile on her lips. It seems that when she uses [Frenzy] during battle, her emotions become slightly more expressive.

The death god-like little girl speaks in a chilling voice.

"Offer death… to God."

Even though the vampires have been bisected, they continue attacking as if nothing happened. Although their movements are slightly impaired by the pain, they still come at Liora.

Each of their attacks pierces Liora.

But she pays no mind and incinerates the vampires with [Flash Magic]. I scatter holy water potions to hinder them.

Liora finishes off the weakened vampires.

We successfully exterminated two. However, there are still…

"Eight remaining."

"We'll crush them all!"

"Yes, it's about time."

As Liora nods, an arrow pierces the head of one of the vampires.

Immediately after, a large-scale earth magic is unleashed, causing the remaining vampires to be swept to the ground by a wave of earth.

"Samurai, restrain them. If they attack, endure them. I'll not let you die, [Regenerate]."

Liora casts [Regenerate] on Samurai again.

We're not fighting solo. While Liora is overwhelmingly strong, we're still a party.

And since we have a crazy priest on our side, Samurai's restraints will be useful.

Now, five of the remaining eight enemies are sealed.

Three left.

Only the two vampire underlings and the Gourmand remain.

"Liora, let's keep the two underlings alive. They'll serve as our recovery resources."

"Yes! I'll leave it to God…!"

As long as I defend against their lethal attacks, the underlings will simply become recovery items. Additionally, considering Liora's title, they'll also become buff items.

Let's show them whether the vampire or the death god girl is the true monster here.

Or rather, this is a good opportunity.

I'll use an item I once placed third with in the second event's [Alchemy] division. The item's name is [Super Mutant Plant Potion].

It's a deadly poison that transforms plants into boss monsters.

And since this battlefield is in the mountains—a natural treasure trove—we're in the perfect setting. Even if the monsters attack us… so what?

I scattered the potion around.

The battlefield became chaos.

I overdid it. The vampire underlings were wiped out, and the bosses began killing each other. In the end, only Liora, the Gourmand, and one remaining boss survived.

Even the enemies Samurai had restrained were devoured.

It was an extremely powerful potion. This could even be used to destroy enemy bases… As the witch said, it might have been strange that this potion only placed third.

"Guoooooooh!"

"Don't interfere with my meal with Liora-aa!"

The Gourmand finally snapped the last boss in half.

His dull eyes lazily gazed at Liora.

"It's just the two of us now, Liora-you are my delicious meal!"

"God is here too."

"Huh?"

Blood-soaked Liora stared down the enemy, showing no signs of exhaustion. Though Liora excels in chaotic battles, she's also taken the most damage.

Still, the little girl's killing intent remains unwavering.

She tightly grips the scythe in her hand.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"[Forbidden Blade]."

"Just give in and become mine, Liora. [Mist Form]."

The Gourmand's figure fades into mist.

Liora leaps backward, casting [Bomb Lightning] repeatedly. I throw potions at him as well.

But the mist takes no damage and continues to approach.

Zero distance.

The Gourmand reappeared right behind Liora, already mid-swing. I used [Darkness Creation] to shift Liora's position, avoiding a direct hit to her head.

His fist pierced through Liora's right shoulder.

Blood poured out.

As the Gourmand licked the blood, he kicked at Liora.

"Aaaaaah! This blood! How can it taste so good!?"

"Shut up."

Liora didn't dodge the kick, but instead took it head-on, slamming her scythe into him with a backhanded swing.

Liora's stomach was crushed.

The Gourmand's legs were thinly sliced, but this didn't seem to stop his HP recovery. Then, a butterfly flying nearby reported back.

"The Gourmand's HP recovery isn't stopping… Oh, it seems that the [Predation] effect is giving him a buff that increases his max HP. It's basically the same as recovering HP."

"I see. Liora, it's dangerous if he drinks your blood."

"My blood belongs to God…"

I don't really need her blood, though.

The Gourmand sighed and pulled out his spear.

Apparently, he had been storing it inside his belly. He pulled the spear from his stomach and looked sad as he spoke.

"Liora-… you're too strong. Now I'll have to kill you. I don't want to be killed by Yo-yo, so I'll have to drink more of your rare, well-aged blood."

The spear in the Gourmand's hand began to glow red.

"[Blood Spear] skill… [Siphon Blade]! Oh, fate is such a cruel thing, separating the two of us! How tragic! [Frenzy] [Blood Frenzy]!"

"Liora, let's use the [Kagura] arts."

Following my instructions, Liora spun gracefully and clapped her hands. She activated the [Offering: Dance of Extinguishment].

This art erases all buffs and debuffs, regardless of who cast them.

Unlike [Winged Art: Hod's Wing], this one can't erase unique or powerful skills.

So, the Gourmand is now left only with [Blood Frenzy].

And since he's lost his mind, he won't reapply the buffs.

"You shouldn't carelessly cut through someone in a frenzy."

Thus begins the battle against an enemy who is merely in a state of [Frenzy].

"Dieeee!"

"Shut up."

The Gourmand, wildly swinging his spear, chases after the delicate Liora. Each time the spear is wielded, trees are felled, earth crumbles, and the blood of the animals and monsters caught in the crossfire splatters around.

The attacks were completely reckless.

With Liora's current stats, dodging them was easy. On top of that, the enemy had lost his sanity and was just charging in without any technique.

Liora had also activated the [Berserk] skill, which made this battle overwhelmingly in her favour.

However, fighting head-on was still dangerous since the inherent skill [Berserk] created a massive stat difference that couldn't be ignored.

Had the enemy also activated [Berserk] at the same time, Liora might have been overpowered.

"Still, he is pretty tough. I've weakened them quite a bit with poison."

"Annoying!"

Liora leapt from tree to tree as her footing, just before one was destroyed by the Gourmand. A beastly roar followed in pursuit.

Liora moved gracefully.

Using the wires I created with [Darkness Creation], she skilfully took advantage of the terrain. The training with Jack Jack had paid off.

I started the countdown.

"Ten seconds."

"Okay!!"

Liora spun mid-air, evading the Gourmand's heavy thrust, and slashed with her scythe. The strike lightly cut through the Gourmand's body.

This extended the debuff effect of the [Cursed Blade].

The vampire's regeneration skill was now useless.

From here on, it was only a matter of weakening him with poison before finishing vampire knight off. Honestly, the [Stunning] status effect is too strong, which is why it's less effective on bosses. But against enemies without countermeasures, it can be a one-sided slaughter.

Gradually, the Gourmand's movements slowed, and within five minutes, he was brought to his knees.

"Wha—huh? Why is my buff gone? Liora-you bitch, what did you do!?"
