Chapter 160 New problems

Ending the call, Noah grabbed his keys from the table as a serious look formed on his face.

Entering his car, he inserted the car keys and started the engine. The lykan roared to life, as he drove off his entrance.

He arrived near the complex's entrance within a minute.

Anderson seeing his car from afar, quickly told the other guard to open the gates.

"Hurry up, open the gates." He told the guard, seeing that Noah was still accelerating.

The guard quickly nodded, as he opened the gate worried that Noah would crash into it.

As the gate opened, Noah's lykan zoomed through it like a bolt action.

Anderson watched the Lykan disappear from his sight.

A frown appeared on his face, as he muttered.

"That look on his face... someone pissed him off... badly."

...

The trip from Noah's house to the old Ash Wolves house is usually around 40 minutes away by driving. However, Noah only took 15 minutes to arrive there.

As he approached the house, he did a beautiful drift arc and parked the lykan perfectly.

The door was already opened, with Lionel waiting for him.

Noah had contacted him a few minutes earlier, that he would arrive soon.

"Boss," Lionel nodded in respect.

Noah nodded in return with a serious look on his face.

"Lead me to where he is," He said, his tone chilly sending shivers down Lionel's spine.

"Yes boss," Lionely nodded, as he led Noah to a room.

Inside the room, Leo lay slumped on the sofa, blood seeping from his side, staining his shirt a deep crimson colour.

His face was pale, and his breaths were shallow, while Ryker knelt beside him, pressing a towel against the wound in a desperate attempt to staunch the bleeding.

The iron scent of blood filled Noah's nose as he stepped into the room.

His eyes locked onto Leo's pale face, and anger ran through him.

Without hesitation, he strode forward and said.

"Move out of the way."

His voice carried a tone that didn't take no for an answer.

Ryker hesitated for a split second, glancing at his boss's steely expression before stumbling back, his bloodied hands trembling.

"Y-yes, Boss," Ryker stuttered, quickly making room.

Noah dropped to a crouch, taking Ryker's place.

He pulled the blood-soaked towel away, his sharp eyes inspecting the wound.

'The wound is deep, the angle where the bullet entered isn't good.' He thought.

"This is bad," he muttered, his tone grim. "The bullet might've hit an organ."

He turned his gaze sharply to Lionel, who stood next to him, his face filled with worry and nervousness.

"Lionel, bring me a stitching needle, medical string, sterile gauze, and rubbing alcohol. I need gloves too."

Lionel froze for a moment, his mind racing to memorize the list of supplies. "Boss, we don't ha—"

Noah cut him off, his voice colder than ice. "Then buy it, Lionel. Don't stand there wasting time. He doesn't have much longer."

He nodded quickly as Noah tossed him the Lykan keys, which Lionel caught with a slight stumble before rushing out the door.

Lionel sped through the streets, the roar of the Lykan's engine matching the urgency pounding in his chest.

He reached the pharmacy in mere minutes, as he busted through the doors.

The startled woman at the counter blinked at him as he rattled off his list.

"I need a stitching needle, medical string, sterile gauze, rubbing alcohol, and gloves. Hurry, please."

The woman nodded, her hands moving quickly as she gathered the items Lionel asked for. "One moment, sir," she said, her voice professional but with a hint of concern.

As she returned with the items, "This will be $34.4—" but before she could finish, Lionel had already thrown a $100 bill on the counter.

"Keep the change," he said, turning around and rushing back out the door.

Five minutes later, Lionel entered the room, panting slightly from his sprint. "Boss, I have everything you asked for," he said, placing the items down on the table.

Noah nodded before his focus returned to Leo.

He slipped on the gloves, pouring alcohol onto his hands and the stitching tools to sterilize them.

His movements were quick and precise as if he had done it thousands of times before, his mind fully locked onto what he was about to do next.

"Ryker, hold his shoulders down. Lionel, keep the light steady on the wound," Noah ordered, his tone calm but authoritative.

Noah then placed something between Leo's teeth, so that he doesn't swallow his tongue from the pain or shout loudly making the other's falter.

"No matter how much he groans, or moves. Do not stop holding him down, do you understand Ryker?" Noah said, his tone grim.

"Y-Yes, boss." He nodded his head, still worried whether Noah knew what he was doing or not.

But he couldn't question him now, he was already on a warning from his previous mistake.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

'Since Lionel didn't say anything, I'm also gonna keep my mouth shut.' Explore more at empire

He thought.

He poured rubbing alcohol over the wound, the sharp pain jolted Leo's body as he let out a guttural groan, his body twitching at the sting.

"Hold him down," Noah said, his voice calm. "Ryker, keep his shoulders steady. Lionel, keep the light on the wound."

Both men scrambled, their faces pale and glistening with sweat. The tension in the room was suffocating them, they didn't know how Noah was so calm.

'This is bad,'

Noah thought, his mind racing as he assessed the situation.

'If the bullet really nicked an organ or a major vessel, he could bleed out before I'm even halfway done.'

He didn't have many tools on him, and they were running out of time. So he had to make due of what he could.

"Leo," Noah said, his tone firm.

"This is going to hurt, but you need to stay as still as you can. Got it?"

Leo managed a faint nod as sweat beads rolled down his forehead, his teeth clenched against the pain.
