Chapter 093: Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing
"Did you hear? Our counselor is actually a pervert..."
"What? No way! He always seemed like a good guy."
"It's true. The police took him away for questioning at noon. Look at the forum; someone even exposed him by name—our vice class monitor."
"Wow! The vice monitor is really brave!"
"A wolf in sheep’s clothing!"
In the afternoon class, while the teacher lectured at the front, the students were buzzing with gossip about the noon incident.
Wen Yang was jittery and anxious, nervously shaking his leg. He couldn't focus on the lesson, anxiously hoping the investigation would yield a good outcome. His gaze kept drifting to the front row of the classroom, where Ning Chu was sitting next to Yan Xinya. A strange unease gnawed at him.
Why did he feel uncomfortable when Ning Chu talked to other guys? And even more so when Ning Chu was a little too close to the girls?
“Wow! Something this exciting and you didn’t call me?” Zhang Shaoqing suddenly hooked an arm around Wen Yang’s neck, grinning mischievously. “What’s going on? Spill it!”
“No conclusion yet,” Wen Yang replied.
“At least they should lock him up for ten years, right? I always knew the counselor was shady! Remember when I cursed him out in the group chat?”
“No, we don’t have any real evidence. They haven't even filed a case.” Wen Yang pulled out the phone belonging to "Lang Mei" (Wolf Sister). “I tried to recover her chat history at noon, but it’s no use.”
“None of the other victims have come forward on the exposure post either. It’s a real mess.”
Zhang Shaoqing’s eyes lit up. “Leave it to me! You just need to throw money at problems like this.”
Wang Jie chimed in with a quip, “You just love to stir things up, don’t you?”
“It’s so thrilling! I’m all fired up!”
Both Wen Yang and Wang Jie rolled their eyes at Zhang Shaoqing.
“Hey! What do you think? Should I become a detective after graduation? I’d get to deal with exciting stuff every day!”
“With your sense of duty? You wouldn’t even make it past the front door.”
“Psh!” Zhang Shaoqing sneered, “Name one thing I’ve wanted to do that I haven’t been able to.”
His gaze wandered to the front row, where Ning Chu and Yan Xinya were seated, and he teased Wen Yang, “What’s going on here? Ning Chu doesn’t let you date, doesn’t even let you talk to girls, and you obediently follow along. But look at him—seems like he’s about to cheat on you~”
Wen Yang didn’t respond, just heaved a heavy sigh.
At the front, Ning Chu also sighed, his upper body slumped over the desk, completely uninterested in the teacher’s lecture.
With a fox-eared beauty sitting beside him, he should be feeling distracted, his mind wandering to other thoughts. But his body didn’t react, and his heart felt nothing.
This was the closest he’d been to a girl since his transformation, but his emotions were in shambles.
Even though he hadn’t fully turned into a girl this time, chances were high that his manhood was gone.
After so many years together, it was just... gone...
Yan Xinya wasn’t paying attention to the lecture either; her eyes were fixed on Ning Chu.
The boy who had supposedly moved into the boys' dorm and monopolized the class heartthrob, Wen Yang, had been painted as the ultimate villain among the girls.
Apparently, someone in the class was even writing scandalous fanfiction about Ning Chu and Wen Yang. She had been eager to read it once it was done.
But after spending time with Ning Chu today, she found him easy to get along with—and it was clear that he and Wen Yang had something going on.
Seeing Ning Chu sighing and lying on the desk, Yan Xinya asked, puzzled, "What's wrong?"
“Nothing, just a stomachache.”
Yan Xinya’s gaze shifted downward, noticing the hand Ning Chu had pressed against his abdomen, holding a hand warmer. “Is it that time of the month?”
“I’m a guy...” Ning Chu replied, but there was no confidence in his voice.
Yan Xinya wrinkled her nose, sniffing the faint scent of female hormones coming from Ning Chu, and countered, “You’re a girl.”
“...”
“Did he harass you too?”
“Yeah, he started by messaging me about official matters, then shifted to personal stuff—family, life. This morning, he even asked me to come to his office.”
“Same thing happened to me...” Yan Xinya’s expression darkened. “But when he tried to touch me, I pinned him down on his desk.”
Ning Chu’s mouth twitched slightly. Then why were you crying so much earlier?
If he had that kind of strength, any harassment would be met with a punch. Beat them up first, worry about the consequences later.
But Yan Xinya was a girl. It was normal to be frightened and unsure in such situations.
Suppressing his own sorrow, Ning Chu tried to comfort her, “It’s over now. He’s definitely going to serve time.”
“I hope so.”
“Knock, knock, knock!”
A middle-aged man stood at the classroom door. After knocking, he awkwardly apologized to the teacher for the interruption. “Sorry, sorry. Please continue the lesson. I just need to speak with a few students.”
“Yan Xinya, Wen Yang, Ning Chu, can you three please step out for a moment?”
Ning Chu noticed most of the class turning to stare at him, making him uncomfortable. He pressed his lips together, refusing to move, and continued lying on the desk.
Yan Xinya gently nudged his shoulder. “The teacher’s calling us.”
“You and Wen Yang can go. I’ll sit this one out—tell them my stomachache’s gotten worse.”
“Alright then...”
Ning Chu didn’t need to guess what this was about. He didn’t want to get tangled up in any more drama. His role was just to stir things up, leaving Wen Yang to handle the aftermath—after all, Wen Yang was the protagonist.
He was just a supporting character, setting the stage for the main event.
Everything was falling apart! A week’s worth of effort, all for nothing!
He buried his face in his arms, deeply regretting his moment of softness in getting involved in this mess!
Great, now Han Jingye was either going to prison or, at the very least, getting fired. The storyline involving this wolf in sheep’s clothing was now completely gone.
One step closer to needing to run away.
He couldn’t even take care of himself, and yet he’d tried to save someone else...
The bell signaling the end of class rang.
A moment later, an excited voice drew nearer. “Ning Chu! Wow! Next time something like this happens, give me a heads up!”
Ning Chu remained slumped over the desk, face down, not lifting his head.
“Hey! Where did Wen Yang and the vice monitor go? Do you know?”
“Probably to seal the deal...”
“That’s not okay! Should I spend some money to hire a couple of influencers to help out?”
Ning Chu reluctantly raised his head and shot Zhang Shaoqing a glare. “Why do you always have to stir up trouble?”
“What? I’m just trying to help!”@@novelbin@@
As he spoke, Ning Chu suddenly sneezed, and the pain in his abdomen spiked.
Looks like karma has finally caught up...
It seemed like the situation was resolved.
The anxiety he’d been holding onto finally began to ease. His face, now pale from the pain, was still within manageable limits—he had taken painkillers at noon, after all!
“Should we go to the infirmary?” Wang Jie, ever the straightforward one, was the first to notice Ning Chu’s condition. “You’ve been in pain for days now. It’s better to get it checked out before a minor issue becomes a major one.”
“It’s nothing, just a simple stomach problem. My eating habits messed up my stomach.”
“Or maybe it’s that time of the month~” Zhang Shaoqing muttered from the side. “I looked it up online—painkillers only make stomach pain worse.”
Unable to explain the situation any further, Ning Chu finally snapped, “None of your business!”
What do you think?
