I entered the hall.

The grandest room in the palace was filled to the brim with nobles from across the region, all attending the ceremony. Among the sea of unfamiliar faces, I spotted a few I knew.

There was Bella, bouncing up and down excitedly in the beige dress I had picked for her, waving her arms enthusiastically. Next to her, Lawrence was trying to calm her down.

Since moving to the capital, Bella had filled out, her once skinny frame now more robust. Her rounded cheeks added to her charm, and Lawrence seemed to adore her even more, sticking to her like glue.

Further back, I noticed Eton diligently recording everything on his camera.

“I want to film it myself,” he had insisted.

He had been searching for ways to contribute, wanting to find something meaningful he could offer me. I had accepted his offer with a smile, and now Eton was giving the task his all.

‘I bet it’ll be perfect,’ I thought. I didn’t even need to see the footage to know. Eton had found his passion and was on a path to follow it. His life was beginning to take on a new direction, and I was happy for him.

“Lady Etwar! Congratulations!”

“Keep your voice down, Lady Werna.”

“Your voice is louder, Airen.”

I spotted Werna waving at me, her arm linked with Airen’s, the two of them bickering affectionately.

Werna had brought Airen along, showing immense affection toward me ever since. She seemed to think of me as their matchmaker, and I had a feeling we’d all become even closer in the future.

There was so much more to learn about Werna, and I was eager to hear more about her and Airen’s history.

Marrying Darcy meant becoming the Empress of this nation—a daunting title, still overwhelming to think about. There was so much I had to learn and so many challenges ahead.

There would likely be moments of pain, where I’d feel like retreating again, clinging to my magical devices for comfort. But none of that frightened me anymore.
