Chapter 133
Chapter 133
After spending the entire night bleeding and fumbling with the treasure, Ryan came to one conclusion.
‘Kies lied to me?’
It seemed like the senile old man had deceived him.
Or perhaps Kies truly believed in this worthless trinket, having lost his senses entirely.
Either way, it didn’t matter.
The fact remained: Kies had screwed him over.
Ryan’s heart boiled with rage.
It was the bitterness of someone experiencing utter defeat for the first time.
‘He should never have given me this false hope.’
If this was the outcome, he would have been better off never knowing the treasure existed at all.
If he hadn’t known, he would have fought harder, held on more tenaciously, instead of stepping back, hoping for another chance!
Ryan believed he had done everything he could, but now he needed someone to blame.
‘Emperor Kies.’
Any notion of Kies being an ally no longer mattered.
If Kies appeared before him now, Ryan would want nothing more than to unleash his fury.
He wanted to scream that Kies had ruined everything.
Just as he steeled himself with those thoughts, the door to the prison cell opened.@@novelbin@@
Ryan furrowed his brow, unable to comprehend what was happening, as a man was thrown into the cell.
Thud!
"Ugh..."
The groan that escaped the man’s lips sounded familiar.
What do you think?
