The Strongest Assassin Reincarnates in Another World

Chapter 374 - Help me

Aiden made sure to look at her with as much anger as he could. He knew how easily she could succumb to the pressure, and that's why he was acting in such a way.

As he got closer to her, a black aura started to get released from Aiden's body as if incarnating death. It wasn't the first time that such a thing had happened. However, it was the first time that Evelynn had seen such a thing, and that's how she realized that the person in front of her was truly scary.

Evelynn tried to think or mutter some words, but she wasn't able to whatsoever because of the pain that she was currently seeing. It was really hard on her.

"Are you going to tell me or do you want to torture yourself?" Aiden asked without the slightest emotion.

From what he could see, there was a good chance that she had betrayed him and he wouldn't have any pity for someone who had done something like this.

"Answer me! Why do you want to save him?" He repeated.

He wanted to know the answer before proceeding with the kill.

However, the only thing Aiden could hear was a loud shout.

'I guess that's the true effect of that Slave Contract,' Aiden thought as he had to admit that he was quite satisfied by it.

He now knew that it would work wonders on Ava. He would be able to use her as he wished, he was now sure of it, and it was perfect that was exactly what he wanted.

"I-I"

One word came out of Evelynn's mouth which seemed to reduce the intensity of that purple energy that came from her chest. It seemed that it reduced when she tried to say something regarding the subject.

"I just want to know why…"

When she said that most of the purple energy went away, however, there were still some that caused her some minor pain symptoms. However, it was manageable and it wasn't forcing the answer out of her right away.

'She wants to know why, huh?' Aiden thought as it wasn't the first time that he had heard a question like this.

Evelynn had tried to learn about the reason for a few days, ever since they had started to plan all of this. However, Aiden was firm, she wouldn't know about it… ever.

It wasn't like it was his choice. He simply couldn't tell her about the system and everything surrounding it as it would probably do the same thing as in the previous trial, the system would intervene and there was no telling how it would intervene this time.

In Aiden's mind, it wouldn't be as nice as last time, especially since they had made some sort of deal yet again in this trial.

"I already told you, I can't tell you."

Aiden answered without any emotion, looking at her in the eyes one last time before focusing on the man who was sitting against a wall, panicking.

"You made her your slave! Just what sort of monster are you?"

The director simply couldn't believe what he had just witnessed. Aiden, his past disciple, the one that he had chosen out of all the students… was a murderer and a Slavemaster.

"What did I even find interesting about you?" The director mumbled as he knew that there was no way that he would be leaving this place alive.

Aiden smiled. He knew exactly what he found interesting about him.

"Don't you remember, you like my dagger skills? And isn't funny that I will be practicing them on you?" Aiden answered with a cruel smile.

Evelynn had shivers that ran down all the way to her spine as she had never seen that facet of Aiden before.

She had seen him kill before, but that was something else. It was much worse, the black aura that was released by Aiden was making it much worse. For some reason, it made her a lot more scared of him. She knew that he would be able to kill her in a single moment.

She was defenseless in front of him, he could do whatever he wanted to her and she wouldn't be able to defend herself… all because of that contract.

'Why did I even want to know about what he wanted to do…'

Evelynn was now regretting her past choice instantly.

'If only, I ignored him and stayed away from him…'

There were many thoughts that were entering her mind, and there wasn't the slightest doubt that she couldn't change anything that had happened. It simply wasn't her job to do so.

That's how it worked.

"Oh, and David… why do you care what I do with her? Didn't you call her a whore?" Aiden asked.

"And that face of yours, did I really find you interesting for a second time?" The director asked, completely ignoring Aiden's words.

Now, that the director had better look at that face, it didn't look anything like Aiden's. It was the same face as the student that he had seen when he had tried putting a spell on everyone.

"I guess you did, huh?" Aiden replied, not caring about any of it.

He knew that the end was coming which is why he didn't mind having a little conversation with him. The man was going to die, Aiden could let him enjoy life a little longer, right?

"Can I just know one thing?" David asked as he knew that his death was coming. There was nothing that he could do about it.

He didn't have access to mana and he knew that he couldn't use any of the skills that he had learned from the dagger since Aiden was much stronger than him. He preferred dying without mindlessly resisting.

"Sure, go ahead and ask me."

Aiden could answer one of his questions if that was the only thing that he wanted to know.

He wasn't that cruel.

"Why do you want to kill me? What did I ever do to you? Didn't I always try to help you?"

Aiden heard him and a small smile formed on his face.

"Isn't that three questions? Which one do you want me to answer?" Aiden asked. "I will only answer one of them."

Aiden knew that there was no way that he would be answering the first one, so if David chose this one, he would simply ask him to choose another one.

'And if he really insists, then I would just have to lie. There would be no other choice,' Aiden thought as he didn't want to lie, but if he had no choice then that's what he would be doing.

"The first one, tell me why do you want to kill me?" David asked right away as the other questions were only secondary.

Aiden looked at him, and he knew that he couldn't answer him. In fact, he looked behind him and he noticed that Evelynn was very interested in that answer, she was clearly hoping to get something, and she would get something.

"Are you sure?" Aiden asked as he was thinking of the first lie that would be coming up in his mind.

"Yes, tell me."

Aiden looked at him in silence. The director was probably thinking whether he was going to tell him or not, but that wasn't the case at all. Aiden was thinking of a lie, and he needed it to be believable.

'What about a lie about being paid to do something like this?' Aiden thought as he knew that it would probably work.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Someone asked me, that's why I did it."

Aiden didn't have the slightest emotion when saying that. He knew that his lie would create a bunch of questions inside the director's mind. However, there was something very important that David would probably forget about… the fact that Aiden didn't have to answer any of his questions.

"Who? Tell me who!"

This time, the director was emotional as he wanted to know about that person.

'Technically, I didn't lie, right?' Aiden thought as he really had been asked to kill him. Though, he wouldn't go into the details as he knew that it would create a bunch of problems.

Aiden was indeed asked by someone, however, as for the identity of that person. There was no way in hell that Aiden would be answering them.

"Tell me!" The director continued when he noticed that Aiden wasn't even paying any attention to him anymore.

David was almost begging as he wanted to know the person who had problems with him.

"I won't tell you, I don't know who that person even is."

Aiden knew that this was the simplest answer that he could give. That way all the questions that the director had wouldn't have any answers coming from Aiden.

"Then tell me how much you're getting paid for this."

This time, it was getting annoying. Aiden slowly walked toward David, still, with his dagger in his hand, and he looked in his eyes.

"I think you're forgetting something…" Aiden slowly muttered word by word as his dagger found its way under David's neck. "I don't need to answer you, so stop ordering me around and beg if you want the answer."

"And what if I want to live?" David asked. "Look, I'll give you double…"

As he said that he looked at Aiden's face, and there weren't any changes to it.

"Triple, I'll give you triple! I have money, believe me!"

Aiden couldn't believe it, just how stupid was one of the strongest mages in this world.

"Do you really think that you can buy me? It's not about money, the payment won't be money, it will be something much much better."
