The Male Leads Are Trapped in My House

Chapter 0

The world had finally ended—faster than expected.

Squelch.

A boot stepped into a puddle of blood.

‘…Blood?’

Screech!

Horrific cries echoed from somewhere nearby.

“Ahhh! Help! Please, help me!”

The desperate screams of people begging for their lives filled the air.

Only then did I notice the chaos engulfing the village. People were running in all directions, trying to escape.

Just yesterday, this village had been bustling enough to host a market.

Thud—

I was knocked over in the middle of the street by the fleeing crowd. Behind them, grotesque creatures lunged forward.

Yeah. It didn’t make any sense, but those things were monsters.

Graaaah!

A creature that vaguely resembled a human opened its mouth unnaturally wide. Its sharp, densely packed teeth tore through a person in an instant.

“Shit.”

People were bitten, killed, and transformed into monsters themselves.

And in the middle of that nightmare, my eyes locked onto one person.

‘Why is he here…?’

Amidst the chaos, a man in a police uniform was fighting the monsters while helping people escape.

I scrambled to my feet and ran toward the center of the village. A weapon shop with shattered glass windows caught my eye.

Dodging the panicked crowd, I slipped inside and grabbed an axe—something I knew how to handle.

I rushed back outside and struck the monster charging toward me.

Slash—

Its green blood splattered all over my face.

Grrk?

Another monster beside it turned to look at me. It had four eyes, each the size of my fist.

I froze, locking eyes with it. I didn’t want to provoke it.

Its pupils contracted and dilated repeatedly as it stared me down.

I didn’t blink. My plan was to bury my axe in its skull the moment it let its guard down.

Then—

Splash.

A pair of black combat boots splashed through the blood-soaked ground.

Bang!

The gunshot rang in my ears.

I turned to see a tall man. He’d shot the monster in front of me, killing it instantly.

“Damn it. It never ends.”

The man—Eden—cursed under his breath as he scanned the area before turning back to me.

“Are you hurt?”

I raised my head and looked at him carefully.

No one knew it yet, but I did.

This man could not die here.

‘Eden Duncan Lancaster.’

He was the heroine’s older brother—and the man who carried the virus antibody.

His navy-blue police uniform fit perfectly, his blond hair was neatly combed back, and a gold star badge gleamed on his hat.

But despite his polished appearance, Eden’s face and clothes were smeared with blood.

His icy blue eyes locked onto mine.

‘No, now’s not the time.’

I grabbed his hand.

Eden’s eyebrows rose in confusion.

“Come with me. We have to get out of this village.”

“I know this situation is complete bullshit, but there might still be survivors.”

I knew he’d say that. He had an unshakable sense of duty as a police officer.

‘That’s exactly why I came out here.’

Graaaah—

The number of monsters was growing, and there were barely any survivors left.

The monsters outnumbered the people several times over.

They began to take over the village, blocking most of the exits. Escaping to the outskirts wouldn’t be easy.

If we didn’t leave now, we’d be trapped.

“I’m sorry.”

Thud!

I hit Eden on the back of the head with the handle of the axe, knocking him out.

Flop.

Thanks to my above-average strength, I slung his unconscious body over my shoulder and ran.

I dodged and fought off the monsters as I fled.

When I finally reached the outskirts of the village, I climbed a hill, my breath burning in my chest.

I stopped in front of a massive gate.

Clang!

I shoved it open, dragged Eden inside, and slammed it shut behind us.

Only after barring the door did I let out a shaky breath of relief.

Screech! Growl! Roar!

The monsters’ cries rang out from outside the gate.

Thuds echoed as they threw themselves against the door.

I cautiously peeked through the crack in the door.@@novelbin@@

“Damn it. There’s no way out.”

The monsters swarmed outside the gate, and their numbers kept growing.

Luckily, the barrier was solid. The monsters wouldn’t get in.

But the problem was that I couldn’t get out either.

Eden and I were trapped in this house.

And when he woke up, he might try to kill me for this absurd situation…

‘I don’t care. I just saved the world.’

Or rather, I kidnapped the man who would save the world—before he could die.

To explain how I ended up here, I’d need to go back about three weeks.
