Of those, only 3 were still alive.

It didn’t take long to deal with the others.

The first to fall was the awakened individual who could produce acidic liquid.

She had been startled by the axe Seongho had thrown, scrambling to the floor, and was quickly spotted by the Scratcher.

Next was the awakened one who had been watching for an opportunity beside Seongho.

He had been retreating slowly, using Seongho as a shield, when suddenly he started screaming.

“W-Why?! I didn’t move!”

He was clearly seeing an illusion of the Scratcher charging at him, just as Seongho had earlier.

Seongho watched Jang Hyungsu, who had been watching from a distance.

Jang Hyungsu had been glaring at him with a hostile expression for quite some time.

‘Seems like he was hoping the Scratcher would go after me…’

It looked like Jang Hyungsu had realized that the Scratcher only reacted to moving prey.

Seongho couldn’t help but laugh quietly at his futile efforts.

‘The Scratcher doesn’t move that erratically to begin with.’

The more the body trembles, the harder it is for the Scratcher to spot moving prey.

But the new victim didn’t realize the discrepancy, and like before, he couldn’t fight his fear and started to flee.

The Scratcher raised its arm as the awakened individual moved.
