Temporal Pearls

Seth's legs were bent strangely as he moved forward, the pressure and the unnatural aura of the remnants monster was affecting him, he would mutate if he was exposed too much.

But he welcomed it, he desired it, his eyes were looking at it with longing and love. 'Paradise' he can think of.

He would rather be inside a beast being eaten a hundred times, a thousand times than to experience what he had experienced for a single second again.

Far behind him, the Great Maw was still chewing but the sound wasn't reaching Seth. It was still devouring the source of the monster.

The pregnant humanoid creature dissolved and the coral mist intensified as they feed on it. It leaves behind a smooth two meter diameter orb.

The Myriad Energy battled on which one to come out but they all halted as they saw Seth was coming toward them.

Seth pushed forward until he reached the limit of the pressure he could move.

The pressure was intense, he didn't have physical strength to move further.

The cripple lamented his weak body. If only he has more strength…

The core vibrated before it began emitting an energy, at that moment Seth saw it, the true form of the creature. 'You are beautiful!' Seth commented to himself.

Seeing its true form made Seth Preeminence Gaze to hold onto it and also his Existence Might to grapsed what it was perceiving.

The creature's existence was colossal, mighty and terrifying but also strangely weak and fragmented.

The core and the true form was that of ethereal energy, it was like Gawee Monsters and Medos, they seek perfection, to be a true being not a fragments, to be one and not many.

The true form was about to pull another creature from the orb to inhabit it when Seth lips curled up into an eerie smile, his eyes sharply looking at it despite his eyes being burnt by the intense energy of the core and the existence.

His hand moved with unnatural speed while his staff became Short Sword which he pulled and took aim at the orb, "Shoot!"

"Shoot!" Seth muttered

Seth has used this Permanence only once in the game and that was when he faced off against the infected Roana Prada.

And now he used it against this unknowable creature. The sharp blade extended faster than it used to be and reached the orb in an instant. The true ethereal body can't interact with the physical world but the aura of Terror Strike was able to shake it.

The orb was strong enough to withstand powerful Old Dragon breath with no crack but when the blade touched it, nothing happened but the violent aura and power behind the skill attack shattered the orb and everything around it.

The whole domain rippled and everything died within except for Seth.

The coral withered away, the mist cleared, Red Signature Book and Tome Of Silence went mute and the floating book fell down becoming like any other book.

Few meters away from the domain the pressure of the strike reached but as there was no one there, no one felt it.

The pressure of the strike temporarily shut down the ringing in his mind and he regained a semblance of self.

Seth turned and walked toward the book and kicked it,

"Mother fucker, you want to drive me insane!" He spat, he followed again and was about to step on it and he noticed it was on the red cover size.

"For the Red Ancient I won't disrespect the book" He spat again.

Seth might be insane but he won't bring the wrath of another monster upon himself.

Strangely, Seth felt his broken ego healed considerably.

He turned and looked at the dome, it still held for the next 14 minutes. The normal duration was 30 minutes which was actually a very long time.

The mist and the corals as even the reddish of the ground was gone. It was pale white now and the air was extremely clean.

Seth turned to where the monster core was and saw a small pale mountain made of uneven surface fragmenting gradually.

Close to it was the remnants of the creature and the core that was shattered.

He saw two things floating and glowing apart from the mountain.

He walked closer and noticed X inside the small mountain, it's the Experience Points for killing the creature and he frowned.

''Where are my notifications?'

He then pulled them out, there were many but the recent one was…

"It doesn't have a name?" Seth asked, annoyed as he waved away the notification.

Coming close to the small mountain which was about 9 meter tall and 7 meter wide, he felt a pull from it. He raised his staff and extended it, the moment his aura touched the mountain it stopped breaking apart and began becoming whole.

Seth walked to the closest object and it flew toward him and dropped on his hand.

This item also didn't even have any extra description just like the name of the creature.

The item was unassuming, it was emitting no aura or pressure. It looked like a metal shaped into C or as Seth tilted his head it looked like a moon in a quarter month.

On its surface were numerous very tiny scales that glitter with light.

As Seth ran his hand on top it felt very coarse but didn't cut his hand but as he ran his finger against it, the surface was very smooth.

Seth did feel something, some sort of numerous sounds that soothed his mind. Well, they soothe his mind because what he had experienced was worse and he needed all the distraction he wanted.

Seth stored them all and focused on the remains of the broken core that looked like a glass and the physical body it started manifesting.

Above that was a bubble with multiple layers hovering above, touching them and taking them in. Gradually it will feed on them all.

Seth was watching it when he heard a sound, he turned and saw Little Cub running toward him with Cart behind it.

It came and rubbed her face on him, she licked his face and circled him as she looked around. Seth extended his hand in the Cart and summoned Soothing Gourd.

Seth removed the cork and poured the water on his mouth, the moment the cool water touched his tongue, his body shivered, and as if he was asleep and violently awakened with freezing water.

Seth returned back to reality for a moment and as the water ran through his throat, he felt every movement of it. As if a water was poured on a prying fan that was red hot….CHIiiii.

Seth felt his thirst had no limits, as his stomach refused to be filled. Unbeknownst to him he was evaporating.

Seth had a bitter taste when he read the last sentences. He closed the notification and poured water above his head.

"Soothing Water has the effect of affecting the spirit, mind and aura of the body. It's more valuable than I gave it credit for!"

Seth's thirst was quenched but his injury was never physical but beyond it.

Soon the Bubbles Guardian fed on everything including the dead coral. The domain was cleaned well and the air was super fresh but Seth was busy pouring water on himself.

He was cooling as he was evaporating. Bubble Guardian vanished and went back to the Red Book which immediately Little Cub ran and picked with its mouth before she threw it inside the Cart.

She walked between his legs and raised him up. Now he was sitting on her neck.

Seth adjusted and stared at the slight red domain waiting for the Soothing Guard to refill.

"The domain is very strong, its anchor was the Red Signature Book itself. Which it has Indestructible Use on it. I guess nothing can break it until the book is destroyed. However, things may bypass it to enter or escape?"

He mused, that helped him take away his mind from the ringing in his head.

The domain time was off, his gaze landed on the sun and blue sky above. He really can't see properly. Not that he cared now.

Seth's emotions were down, borderline apathy.
