Chapter 1437: New Rank Six Talismans
Chapter 1437: New Rank Six Talismans
“I’ll be able to track their location just like how they can locate this compass!” Xin Lu declared confidently.
Shang Xia looked at her with a smile that didn’t really seem like a smile and laughed, “You’re not doing this just because you’re tired of staying in the institution all day, right?”
Xin Lu was embarrassed he pointed it out so directly, but she answered quickly, “We’re no longer in the Heaven Observation Field and even if I run around outside, no one from the Star Origin Dao Field will discover me! Moreover, hasn’t Sister Yan been traveling in the sea of stars?”
Ever since Shang Xia completed the deal with the Twin Star Pirates with Song Zhen and discovered the amazing uses of a Stargazer while navigating through the sea of stars, Yan Ming understood how important it was and she immediately applied to temper herself outside. She was arranged by Shang Xia to stay with Song Zhen’s merchant group to strengthen their power in the sea of stars.
From the looks of it, Xin Lu also seemed like she was tired of staying in the Star Observatory.
Shang Xia chuckled in response, “You just entered the Martial Dipper Realm and you’re weaker than Yan Ming. You lack a way to protect yourself when traveling in the vast sea of stars... Yan Ming also has the protection of Song Zhen, a True Immortal. There’s no merchant group backing you up...”
Xin Lu broke out laughing instantly, “There’s no merchant group, but aren’t you here? True Immortal Shang?!”
Shang Xia started to turn serious and he mumbled, “Seeing how confident you are in yourself, I wonder if you already discovered how weak the Stargazer of the Essence Xing World is?”
As expected, Xin Lu nodded. “If their accomplishment in the art of Stargazing is higher than mine, they shouldn’t have been discovered so easily. If the other side is actually on par with Little Yuan, they should have long since understood they wouldn’t be able to track our world because of the presence of the Five Element Teleportation Formation. They wouldn’t have remained around our Star Beast Nest and been noticed by me.”
Shang Xia nodded in understanding. Everything happened because the Stargazer hidden in their fleet was a clown. He pretended to be proficient in something he wasn’t, approaching the Star Beast Nest time and time again. Shang Xia also had a feeling their Stargazer was merely trying to justify his importance with that.
After contemplating it properly for some time, Shang Xia grunted, “Alright, when they leave, we’ll try to track them down. Let’s see if we can accurately determine their position when they return to the Essence Xing World. If you can continue to track them after they enter the heavenly screen, you might even be able to lock onto their Star Observatory!”
“Right!” Xin Lu answered happily as brilliant light shone in her eyes.
After passing down some instructions, he allowed Xin Lu to head out to settle down in the Star Beast Nest. He informed her there was no rush in trying to track them. At the very least, it wouldn’t be too late to start their attempt to track them.
Shang Xia returned to his secret courtyard after Xin Lu left and decided to craft some defensive rank six talismans before emerging.
Speaking of which, it had been some time since he focused on crafting talismans.
He actually had 2 main goals when leaving the Heaven Observation Field. The first was to infiltrate the Essence Xing World to get an explanation from Zhang Shun of the Wanyun Association. The second was to meet up with the Twin Star Pirates and fulfill his promise.
Neither goal was going to be easy to accomplish. Even as a sixth tier True Immortal, he would have to move carefully and prepare himself as much as possible for anything that would come.
As he composed himself to start crafting talismans, he was shocked to discover that he already grasped 10 types of rank six talismans!
From what he knows, even in the Elysium-level factions in the Essence Xing World, the number of inheritances they had wasn’t too lacking when compared to the dynasties. Even so, they would have 5 to 6 rank six talisman inheritances at best, and most of them would be lucky to have 3 to 4 of them!
Of course, inheritances were just knowledge recorded by their predecessors at the end of the day. Crafting those talismans was another problem. Taking the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talismans from the Wanyun Association as an example, they had been looking for someone to craft it for hundreds of years before Shang Xia came along.
Most of those Elysiums would also have their rank six Talisman Grandmasters, and their skills were also limited to a couple of rank six talismans at best. No one could be like Shang Xia who was able to craft 10 different types of rank six talismans with such a high success rate!
There was also no need to mention the fact that the notoriously difficult to craft Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman was a part of those talismans he knew. In both effects and might, only rank seven talismans would surpass it.
Other than the 10 types of talismans he could craft, Shang Xia also got his hands on 2 new rank six talisman inheritances. The first was called the Secret Void Brilliance Talisman. It was something the institution obtained after the Yuhai Sect was destroyed. After looking at it, Shang Xia could tell it was a talisman used to break restrictions, and it was especially useful when used on high-level restrictions or formations.
The second was called the Void Capture Talisman. It was a complete inheritance and a weaker version of it would be the Lesser Capture Talisman which was at the third rank. The rank four talisman was called the Capture Talisman, and the rank five talisman was called the Greater Capture Talisman.
After so many years of collection and occasional plunder, Shang Xia had 38 rank six talisman papers in hand. He had more than enough rank six talisman ink and he even had 2 divine grade brushes.
The first was the Silver Branch Star Splendor Brush he had been using, and the second was a Greenwood Wolf Bristle Brush he obtained during the assassination of the Qi Dynasty Envoy back in the Tong Continent.
Speaking of which, he actually received abundant compensation and loot after the assassination. Other than the brush, there were 2 other divine grade treasures. The first was a Formation Blade, and the second was a seal that provided the authority to draw on the power of the World Origin Source.
The Formation Blade had been left with Chu Jia when he returned to the institution, which was how he got his hands on the Five Element Ring for his External Avatar. That was how his External Avatar was able to restrain Dou Jie.
As for the seal that would allow him to draw on the World Origin Source... The greatest use would be to suck up world origin. In the hands of the envoy, he would be able to gain the ability of a high-level True Immortal once used. He might not be at a disadvantage even against a fifth tier True Immortal.
He handed it to the institution for research after returning in the past.
The seal was actually an important asset for the institution at the moment. The ability to draw on the World Origin Source that could be bestowed onto a person of their choice was exceptionally paramount due to their control over a vast region of land.
Other than the You Continent, Jiao Continent, and Hai Continent were the True Immortals of the Tongyou Institution ascended, they also controlled the World Origin Source of the Bing Continent and Ji Continent which were not protected by any True Immortals. Only by sending a lot of experts over and laying down powerful formations would they be able to prevent their territory from falling into the hands of their enemies.
The factions of both continents were unhappy with the Tongyou Institution’s intrusion in the first place, and they had been trying to retrieve control over their World Origin Source.
That was a reason the Tongyou Institution started to make deals with other factions to control 30 percent of their World Origin Source for a piece of world fragment in the past. It wasn’t too much that the other factions couldn’t take, but they would still have to send their experts over as a precaution. Otherwise, if the other side broke their promise, they would be able to easily drive out the members of the institution.
Other than the brush, Formation Blade, and the seal, Shang Xia obtained 5.5 portions of Hundred Spirit Temperance.
Hundred Spirit Temperance was a type of medicine that was useful to help True Immortals in their cultivation, and it was also the reason why Ge Qingzhu was able to quickly reach the peak of the first tier.

As Shang Xia adjusted his condition to his peak state, he started to craft talismans. He started with lower-leveled talismans. To be exact, he started with Lesser Capture Talismans and worked his way up.
WIth his current abilities, a rank three Lesser Capture Talisman didn’t pose any difficulty. Even if he wanted to fail, it would be hard to do so.
He completed 3 of them in a flash before getting serious and starting on rank four Capture Talismans.
After that, he turned completely serious and started to work on rank five Greater Capture Talismans.
Rank five Greater Capture Talismans were more powerful than the average rank five talismans and that made them more difficult to craft. However, Shang Xia completed it on his first try.
Even though he made a mistake on his next talisman and wasted a sheet of rank five talisman paper, he completed 3 more in a row right after.
Adjusting his condition slightly, Shang Xia prepared to craft a rank six Void Capture Talisman. Naturally, crafting a rank six talisman was his main goal.
