Chapter 120: Chapter 120: Planning, Ideas, and the Future
[3rd POV]
Over a month had passed since she had gone to the Land of Shadows, and Gwen had finally decided to hang out with team RWBY. Mostly because she hadn't really been paying much attention to them over the past month or two, and felt a little bad, mostly for Ruby. She had been dealing with it a bit over the past few days, as she had been absorbing more and more grimm, and traveling around more and more.
She had naturally completed a couple more quests over this time, as she absorbed any grimm and grim. pool she had come across. And with it, she had begun to look into what the grimm pools actually were, and what the grimm was. And so far, she had figured out that they were closely related to the soul, and even the planet itself.
They were also NOT coming from just some pools, but the literal core of the planet. Something deep inside of the planet was passively giving off this grimm pool "Goop" which was then traveling to the surface of the planet, allowing for the grimm to rise from them. What that core was, Gwen didn't know, but she was excited to find out.
As for the soul aspect, Gwen had found that their souls were quite...different than normal, almost Frankenstein- like, with traits belonging to the soul of an animal and a humanoid. The souls themselves were completely different, and had some other traits specific to them, that she hadn't figured out just yet.
The quests she had completed during this month was...quite a bit.

The fact that she had absorbed so many grimm pools, had of course been noticed by some...less than good people, Salem mostly.
Everytime she went out, she had noticed an uptake in Salem's spies, which would normally be annoying, if they weren't incredibly easy to get rid of, and after the first week of Salem doing it, they no longer bugged her.
She would have used the tickets, but she decided that instead, she was going to save them up until the next system evolution, and then she would turn them into TL tickets, and then the TL tickets into the next level, which she believes was Substellar. Substeller being Moon level to Brown Dwarf Star Level.
She expected the quests to be far more difficult once she got to the next level, which was why she planned on doing this. That and after the next world, she was finally going to a rather...powerful one, one that would actually be threatening to her, and give her more challenges. Even with her next system evolution.
Besides absorbing a shit ton of grimm and grimm pools, Gwen had started to put some of her technological skill to use. She had started to craft some weapons for Korra, Raven, and M'gann. As while Artemis already had hers, they didn't, and relying solely on their powers wouldn't work well with the world she planned on going to two worlds down the line.
She had started production of a pair of gauntlets for Korra, a rapier for Raven, and a bow/gun for M'gann. The gauntlets were to be enchanted to strengthen Korra's manipulation of the elements, most notably fire and earth. The rapier would be a powerful weapon that Raven could use her magic through. While M'gann's weapon was because of her telekinesis which when combined with projectiles like that of a gun or bow, would be quite the powerful

Besides that, Gwen planned on producing some armor for them as well. But that was for later on, as she wanted some better materials before she did that, and a lot of them weren't something she could just make casually. Mostly because she wanted ones that could properly be enchanted with magical effects, and that could only be done with very specific materials, like Uru. And Uru wasn't something she could just pop out and create, even if she wished she could.
She had also started to teach the girls some new forms of martial arts, and techniques. Mostly ones that didn't require any sort of energy that they didn't have at the moment, or not enough to use them at least.
Her research into dust had continued, and she had found some pretty interesting machines that she could create with them. Mostly energy related, such as an "Arc Reactor" that was created through the utilization of magical energy, dust, and technology all combined. She planned on making a few of these and absorbing them, as they should massively strengthen her magic and it's regeneration, plus it could combine with her cores pretty easily.
She had started to create and develop her own dust, as, from what she could tell, it was rather easy to produce due to it being the crystallization of the world's magic, but in physical form. And with how much magical energy she had at the moment, creating it was easy.
So far she has produced Fire, Water, Air, Lightning, Ice, and Earth dust. She planned on making more and even some unique ones, like Gravity dust, space dust, and even Time Dust. The progress in regards to the Infinity Stones had...not been going to well, as she found that the thread that connected them to the previous universe, the MCU one, was not exactly easy to sever. And once she did that, it'd be even harder to connect it to each universe she went to. As these were the physical embodiments of certain concepts, and was not something she can just mess with willy nilly.
But, she did find some headway with one of them, and the most powerful of the bunch. The Soul Stone. She found that it was...rather sentient, and while its powers weren't usable, it still had that power. She just needed to find the way to sever the bond. As she found another way of using them, one that would be easier, and probably give more power as well. Absorb them into herself. The stones all had that power, it was just locked away. So what if she absorbed them and connected them to her very soul? They'd fuse with each of her cores, and become her new "Cores" massively strengthening her. And then, she could find a way to connect them to more universes. But until then, she'd be very limited in her use of them, as she doubted she had the power to do something like that, she'd need the next system level (at least) in order to do it, even with all her power. That, or something that could sever and cut concepts themselves to a high degree.
Her schooling had been...boring, considering she was better than any of the teachers there, so she was basically just relaxing the entire time, while planning.
She was still thinking over whether or not to go directly to the "Big Boy" universe next, or go to one of the smaller ones. As she was beginning to get more and more bored with her current life, not finding any challenges, with the last one being Darkseid, and even he wasn't too
difficult.
At the moment she was walking the streets with team RWBY, as they slowly walked up to an area of commotion, as she began to realize what time it was.
Looking at what was supposedly a break in by the White fang, Gwen let out a sigh.
'So Weiss is going to go on her ignorant racist rant soon, huh?'
'...This is going to be annoying'

That's the end of the chapter!
Basically just an intermission before more happens.
So...what should the next universe be? Originally it was going to be an Owl House, Amphibia, and Gravity Falls crossover, but recently I've realized that...I'm not so sure about that. As it'll probably be...kind of boring until someone like Bill Cipher shows up. So should I just make it an Otherworldly quest? But like a mini arc like the Darkseid War that she'll do in the future? If so, then the next world will be the second to last, and will be the big one, where there WILL be genuine challenges and threats to Gwen. Aka...Marvel Comics.
I think I might scrap the idea of Ruby as the last love interest, and instead put her with someone else (Weiss?) and then instead put Gwen with someone from Marvel Comics. Should
I do that? Or stick with Ruby? Let me know what you think!
Anyways, have a good day!
