While waiting for the shoot to be ready, Mira continued wandering aimlessly, enjoying her time window shopping.

(Hmm…medicinal items have roughly the same price everywhere, but luxury items vary a lot.)

While checking out the items on sale, she also noticed how things were priced differently in other places. But she did not think too hard about it. Her main goal was to sightsee, so she quickly forgot about it and went to look for something more fun.

Eventually, she spotted a large building amongst the various shops, with a large sign that read Astelia Home.

「Ohh, a trading card shop?」

When she looked inside, she saw something she recognized, and she quickly understood what they sold there.

(This isn’t quite what I expected…)

Mira was slightly taken aback as she continued to survey the shop from the entrance.

The previous card shop she had visited was filled with children, starting with the boy who had fallen to her charms, Marian. Here, things were almost the opposite, as it was filled with adults instead.

And they seemed rather excited over in the playing area.

But before that, she wanted to check if she could find a card of herself, or rather of Danbulf. So she headed to the card showcase first, with the roaring crowd in the corner of her eye.

(Hrngh… Why! Why is Luminaria here but not me!)

The result was still the same.

She began to consider buying a large amount of card packs to open on her way back to the antique shop, until a loud cheer from the crowd stopped her.

(They’re oddly loud over there…)

Mira turned to look at the crowd again, and finally noticed the reason behind their presence there.

One of the walls in the playing area was covered with a large poster, with some text written on it, ‘First Legend of Astelia Continental Tournament, First Preliminaries.’

That explained everything, a big tournament was underway. Then she looked at the poster more closely to see the details of the tournament.

The prize was also quite impressive, including exclusive premium cards, a card set of the winner’s choosing, input on who to choose for future cards, and so on. But what was the most impressive was the money prize.

「What… Thirty million Rils…」

That was an incredibly large sum for just a card game. Seeing numbers like that was rare even in the real world, and Mira began to daydream thinking about winning that herself.

But she quickly snapped out of it, realizing she had a better chance of making that money in the same time frame by having her summons running wild, rather than trying to learn the game and get good enough at it for the tournament.

(It’s not like I’ve won against Solomon even once…)

Solomon had challenged her to play in the past, so she was well aware of her own skill with card games. While she had no plans of getting invested, she was still curious to see who the players were, considering how excited the crowd of onlookers was, so she went to the playing area.

Moving through the crowd was tough, but her small size helped her slip between the adults gathered there, and either by chance or due to her own predisposition, she moved mostly through the areas with women. Eventually, her head poked between those at the front, and she saw a handsome man and a beautiful woman facing off at the table.

「Stand your ground the next round and you got this!」

A man who seemed to be friends with the male player shouted that, but was warned by a referee right away. They did not allow the crowd to offer suggestions or backseat the players.

(This really is a close contest…)

Across the table was something like a tournament scoreboard, detailing the current match. It was a preliminary match for the main tournament, decided by a best of three games. Currently, both players had won one, meaning the winner of this one would move on, and both of them had twenty life points.

There were enough cards on the playing field to erase all of those twenty life points, and both contestants were good looking, making for a striking scene to watch. It made sense that the crowd was so hyped up.

「It’ll be over this turn.」

After leafing through the rulebook, Mira looked at the table acting like a master analyst and muttered that.

Then things turned around. The handsome man took out a card of Legend rarity to settle the match, causing the onlookers to let out gasps of shock, while his female fans began to squeal.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Even Mira let out a short, 「Oh,」 as she recognized the card, which depicted one of the Nameless 48 Generals, Sniper Simone Chris.

Out of all the countries built by players, Atlantis was the biggest, with so many players living there that Arkite’s numbers paled in comparison, which also meant that the pool of talent was bigger. There, the strongest players were grouped together to become the Nameless 48 Generals.

They had been picked as elites from amongst the elites, their power surpassing that of everyone else. That also applied to Simone Chris, who had a deadly dexterity with spears, being able to land head shots from extremely long distances.

Mira had trained with them in the past, and she had seen how a spear pierced straight through the shield of a Holy Knight, without being able to see where it had been thrown from. It had been something she did not expect, but she became friends with Simone Chris that day, and thinking of that, she wondered what he was doing now.

Then her thoughts were interrupted as the match moved on. A group of men, who seemed to be the fans of the beautiful woman, had started cheering loudly. She had also taken out a card of Legend rarity.

The match had turned into the showdown between a Legend and a Legend. That was not something players saw often, so the crowd of onlookers roared with excitement even more than before. But Mira was the most excited out of everyone.

「Ohhhhh!」 She shouted loudly in surprise. The reason for that was easy to see, as the card the female player brought forth was Danbulf the Army.

(So it truly exists! My card! How marvelous. I’m the coolest of them all!!)

The picture on the card was laid out in the same way as an old screenshot she had taken together with Isenfald. She believed that was one of the coolest pictures she had taken, and she was pleased to see it recreated on the card. Finding that after all the searching she had done felt really rewarding as well.

She was so entranced that she impulsively charged forward trying to get a closer look at the card, but was gently stopped by a staff member, who told her it was dangerous.

(Who would’ve thought I’d find it like this, and in the hands of such a beauty as well, mheheheh.)

After that warning, Mira remained in line, while starting to grin and silently cheering on the female player.

But since she had started paying more attention to the match, she failed to notice that the way she acted made her stand out, and now a good portion of the crowd had turned to look at her instead.

「Does anyone know who that cute girl is?」

「I’ve never seen anyone like that around here before.」

「I feel like I’ve heard of someone who looks like that before…」

「I’d like to get closer to her.」
