Saga of Atlantis

Chapter 190 Underground [1]

"Ahh, fuck me."

But instead of the woman, I found a horde of blood beasts slowly waking up from their hibernation.

Fuck!

Fuck!

How the fuck did they wake up!?

Didn't we make sure not to leave anything that could leave fresh blood to wake them up?

"FUCK!!"

I cursed, leaning my body over the wall to look at the ground below.

Once again, I confirmed that the horde of blood beasts had indeed woken up.

"Hmm!?"

But my gaze hardened as I looked at the one opening that shined even in the complete darkness below.

It was a small space leading underground with only an opening big enough for one person to pass through at a time.

Gentle golden light enclosed the place.

....Where did that come from?

And why I don't have any fucking ide—.

"Not the time!!"

I exclaimed, turning on my heels before running inside the building.

The horde of blood beasts would soon surround us, and we needed to move out of the building before that happened.

"...Hey Edda!!" As I rushed through the building, I called out.

[Yes?]

"...you saw that woman, didn't you?"

[The one with black hair and golden eyes?]

"...Yes!!"

Then that means I wasn't hallucinating.

She was indeed real...

"...But who the hell was she?"

From the way she talked and called my name, it's clear that she knows me, but how?

Is she a ghost?

Or someone that my other self knows about?

[.....]

Of course you won't answer....

Useless system.

"Neil?"

My gaze abruptly shifted towards the beautiful black-haired girl who looked at me in confusion as I ran towards her.

"Elysia?" I called, rushing towards her.

"What's going on?" Frowning, she asked, her gaze roaming. "...Are you hearing those noises as well?"

I also took a moment to hear the noise and...I could hear it...the low, unsettling growling, screams of the blood beasts from outside....

"The blood beasts," I mumbled, looking at her. "...They woke up."

"What?" She asked, throwing a startled glance at me.

"..Where is Nadya?"

I asked, my voice laced with concern. I should have found Nadya first before Elysia.

"...Calm down." She urged, breaking my rush by placing her palms on my chest as I arrived close to her.

"...Where is she?" I asked again, looking around the place which was still dark.

"...She is looking around the place with Linda," Elysia replied, removing her hands before turning around. "...follow me."

The darkness of the building once again engulfed us as we moved through the empty corridors.

The air around us moved jerkily at first, touching our faces, then stopping abruptly before the entirety of the place turned silent...

The only thing that echoed within the silence were our footsteps.

"...Neil, I see light," Elysia mumbled softly, her voice coming out loud even though she was whispering.

I followed her gaze and at the end of the corridor behind a half-closed door, I could see light as well.

I didn't think twice to rush towards it.

"Nadya!!"

Forcefully opening the door, I narrowed my eyes to adjust to the dim light as I looked around.

"...."

But my gaze abruptly stopped at the pink-haired girl with a mesmerizing face, wearing a maid uniform with Linda combing her hair...

The outfit concealed her body pretty well, making her look more like a pure maid, unlike the one at my home...

And although her chest felt like it was about to burst open, she indeed looked beautiful in the simple maid dress....

"...What happened?" I quickly returned to my senses as she frowned, looking at me. "...Why are you—."

RAAAAA!!!

But before she could finish her words, a loud roar of the blood beasts echoed throughout the building, followed by the shattering of multiple glasses.

"...We need to move," I quickly ordered, walking towards her as she stood up from her seat.

"...We have a problem, Neil," Elysia mumbled, walking towards the side window and looking down. "...the main gate is already filled with them."

"...With whom?" Nadya asked, squinting her eyes.

Honestly, she looked so beautifully dumb, standing there with her mouth slightly open, not knowing what's going on.

"...Blood beasts woke up," Elysia replied in my stead as I grabbed Nadya's hand.

"...Huh!? How?" Startled, she asked, looking at me.

"..No idea, but now is not the time for it," I grumbled before dragging her out of the room. "...First, let's get out of here."

Linda and Elysia also walked behind us as we made our way towards the terrace.

"...for crying out loud after all the hassle I had gone through just to make tonight—."

"Nadya." Elysia intervened in Nadya's grumbling words, her obsidian eyes glaring at her. "... Would you please stop."

"...Ooh, are you jealous sister?" Nadya asked, covering her half-smiling mouth with her free hand. "...I wouldn't mind if you want to hear the naughty sounds we make."

"Nadya!!" She exclaimed, her face morphing into a sour expression. ".. don't think I am a pervert like you!"

"...Are you not!?" Nadya rebuked with a skeptical expression. "...Then can you explain those noises I hear from your room at night—."

"...S-Shut up!!" She stammered, swallowing deeply while glaring at me.

'....'

What did I do?

"...Ohh." I mumbled softly as I understood Nadya's words...

I mean I understood that the first time—.

"...It's not what you think!!" I forced my eyes back on Elysia as she exclaimed again.

"...Sure," I mumbled, nodding my head gently, ignoring the small pool of tears filling the corner of her eyes.

"Grrrrr."

"Grrrr...Grrrr.."

I clasped Nadya's hand tightly, clutching it with my own as I heard voices filling the building below.

The growling and eerie noises of the blood beasts were loud enough to overcome all the sounds around us.

"Neil." I slowed my steps as I heard Nadya calling me.

"...Yeah?"

"....I am horny."

"....."

....Seriously?

Right now? Right here?

"...Hey! You are the one who asked to tell you whenever I feel weird."

Looking at my dumbfounded face, she hastily explained while her cheeks turned slightly red.

"...Right," I mumbled, looking at her wearing a maid dress, she was fully ready—.

"...Wait, are those garter belts?"

My eyes shifted towards her legs as I also noticed what Elysia pointed out...

"...Yes...they are." Nadya nodded, slightly lifting her skirt to show pure black belts enveloping her thighs.

...hmm.

....So we are in the building which is getting filled with blood beasts from the bottom, leaving us nowhere to go....

....and also a horny girl, who is eyeing me....

For fuck's sake, at least they should have let me enjoy my night...

"...Not the time," I grumbled, biting my lips as we reached the terrace of the building.

Once again, I moved towards the place where I saw the opening while Nadya and Elysia followed behind me.

"What's that?" she asked, squinting in the dim light.

"I have no idea," I replied, shrugging my shoulders as I looked at the opening.

.....Maybe it's just me...but that's definitely something suspicious...

Not to mention that lady I saw...

Was she an illusion? Or was she something else?

"....Should we check it out?" Elysia asked, her voice trembling slightly at the eeriness of the situation.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Neil..." I shifted my focus towards Nadya as she looked at me deeply. "Did something happen when you were alone?"

"...I saw someone," I replied honestly while sending a small amount of Star Energy into my bracelet.

"...I see," she mumbled, squinting her eyes but didn't ask further.

"....We are going down." Looking at the three, I instructed while the bracelet in my hand turned into a chain going downwards.

Elysia and Nadya nodded in agreement while Linda stayed the same.

Well...she doesn't have any will of her own anyway.

"I'll go first," Elysia volunteered, stepping forward.

"No, I will go first," I said, holding her back gently. "If anything goes wrong, I'll handle it."

"...I can—."

"... please Nadya!!" Elysia exclaimed, glaring at her sister, "...No more horny jokes."

"Tch."

Ignoring both sisters, I fixed the chain with the building before slowly descending below.

The gentle breeze of the wind echoed in my ear as I slowly reached the opening...

As soon as I reached the ground below, I let go of the chain before crouching down, entering the chamber...

And after a few seconds of struggle, I found myself in a small underground chamber...

The chamber was illuminated by golden runes etched into the walls, glowing softly...

And at the center, I saw something that I never thought I would see in this world...

"....Life signature detected."

The soft, feminine voice that lacks emotion and the pronunciation identical to that of Edda.

It's a computer...

A computer is in front of me...
