Chapter 309 Traumatized
"What the heck is wrong with Death Bringer?"
"Why did he suddenly deactivate his stealth?"
"Is he trying to throw the match and fake the fight?"
The crowd went into uproar, with many believing Death Bringer was trying to fake the match, which was a taboo in the Arena.
However, the crowd quickly turned 180 degrees once they realized something was amiss.
It wasn't that Death Bringer willingly undoes his stealth, but the fact that he got a creature latched onto it. The creature itself was shimmering in a golden light, directly exposing his location.
What made it worse was that the creature was draining its mana, preventing Death Bringer from being able to maintain his stealthiness.
In other words, his amazing stealth was rendered useless, and maintaining it was only going to deteriorate his mana further.
"Hmph, so what if you can undo my stealth?" Death Bringer snorted coldly, his eyes glaring at Carmen. "I can still defeat you easily without my stealth!"
"It seems like the battle is already over…" Xu Feng murmured softly, having expected the outcome of the battle already.

Sure enough, Carmen's grin widened further when she realized her opponent's brain was only so-so.
"You are really one pitiful assassin," Carmen gave her utmost condolences to him.
"W-What?" Startled, Death Bringer didn't quite comprehend her meaning, but before he could ask further, he collapsed to the floor.
Shortly after his collapse, the system announced the victor.
Victor: Lunar Wraith
With the victor displaying brightly, the referee also announced Carmen as the victor of the balanced fight.
Although the referee was also somewhat surprised by the result, the display could not be incorrect. Thus, it was certain that Carmen had indeed won fair and square.
Meanwhile, the crowd went dead silent, their mouths left agape. They were utterly speechless and confused as to what had just happened.
One moment, Death Bringer undoed his stealth and proclaimed that he still could defeat her without his stealth. Yet in the very next second, he plopped to the floor like some dead fish.
Just how were they supposed to comprehend the situation?
"Is this Death Bringer an imposter?" One of the spectators asked in disbelief.
"Yeah, it has to be. This is the most anti-climactic fight ever!" Another chimed in.
Despite their confusion, Carmen ignored them and gracefully exited the stage.
As she returned to Xu Feng's side, many gazes were locking on them, but Carmen paid no heed and asked, "How was my fight, Guild Leader?"
"You are the quite cheeky one," Xu Feng mused, giving her a slight pinch on the face.
"I never expected you to obtain a hidden class already." He added, clearly taken aback by this revelation.
However, Carmen was the most surprised one, unsure of how Xu Feng managed to deduce the reasoning behind her flawless victory so easily.
"How did you know, Guild Leader?" She asked with widened eyes. "I was planning on telling you myself, but you figured it out."
"Of course, I would know when you blatantly used such skills." Xu Feng laughed bitterly.
Carmen was truly speechless when Xu Feng mentioned skills, and not the singular term, skill.
In other words, he already knew which skills she had used to secure her victory.
"Guild Leader's insight is really scary." Carmen pursed her lips, clearly somewhat disappointed. She had been shocked repeatedly by Xu Feng's conduct and wanted to use this as an opportunity to get back at him.
Yet who would have thought her so-called payback was laughable?
Not only did Xu Feng deduce she had a hidden class, but he even seemed to know which hidden class' skills she had utilized.
Meanwhile, Xu Feng felt somewhat bad when he saw her turn gloomy.
He faked a cough and explained, "I just know it's a hidden class and based on the actions, I merely deduced you must have used multiple skills. As for what it is, I'm going to have to hear your explanation."
Almost instantaneously, Carmen's expression turned for the better as she clasped her hands.
"Ehe, so were you shocked by my hidden ability?" She asked coyly.
Nodding, Xu Feng must admit he was really amazed by her. "Indeed, if you didn't reveal it today, then I would have never known."
"Let me tell you—"
Carmen wanted to explain, but Xu Feng stopped her by putting his hand on her mouth, touching her fragrance and soft lips.
"Let me collect the winning bets and we return to the hotel first." Xu Feng commented, not elaborating further.
Realization dawned upon Carmen once she noticed most of the spectators had their ears perked up. Naturally, they were equally curious and wanted to hear what she had done to defeat Death Bringer so easily.
As for Death Bringer, the moment he was healed from the formation, he held a fearful expression at Carmen before dipping quickly.
Others had only known he plopped to the ground after 3 seconds of undoing his stealth, but no one else knew what he truly experienced.
When Carmen's gaze suddenly landed on him after she was reminded by Xu Feng, Death Bringer nearly shat his pants in horror.
Thankfully, Carmen didn't seem to care much about him and moved her gaze.
'Balanced fight my ass! Who the hell lets someone like her registered to come and torture lowly people like me?' Death Bringer cursed the organizers and whoever approved of Carmen to be a fighter.
While Death Bringer became traumatized by the event, Xu Feng and Carmen swiftly returned to their hotel after collecting the winning bets.
During this time, news of Carmen, or her in-game name, Lunar Wraith began to spread like wildfire within the Arena.
Once in their private hotel room, with two beds and luxurious furniture, Carmen lay on the bed and giggled, "Are you curious about the skills I used, Guild Leader?"
"Yes, I am." Xu Feng played along, taking on her role as a curious bunny whereas she was the educated one.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Feeling prideful, Carmen sat up straight, and with a know-it-all tone, she continued, "It's nothing special. They are just class-exclusive skills of Voidmancer."
