Chapter 732: Chapter 726: Jing Xin Accidentally Discovers a Secret
“You said it yourself, he’s an old thing already. How can he even compare to you?” Mrs. Jing laughed coquettishly and threw herself into the man’s arms.
“Are you that eager? Hmmm.” The mysterious man groaned as Mrs. Jing kindled a hint of lust in him.
“What’s wrong? Don’t you want me?” Mrs. Jing teased playfully with her hand.
“You’re such a slut,” the man panted.
“But isn’t that exactly what you like about me?” Mrs. Jing asked, then fell silent.
“Yes, I love your licentiousness. Is that how you behave under Jing Xiaonan, the old bastard?” the man inquired.
“Of course not, he’s not even worthy of my attention,” Mrs. Jing murmured sensually.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Soon enough, lewd sounds filled the air, forcing Jing Xin to listen to the explicit scene unfold.
Just as he was about to seize the opportunity to leave, another conversation caught his attention, its contents nearly knocking him senseless.
“You’re so vigorous,” Mrs. Jing purred in satisfaction.
“I had to be in order to give you a son,” the man replied, equally pleased.
“It’s funny, Jing Xiaonan still doesn’t know that Peng’er isn’t even his son. He thinks he’s so powerful, not realizing that only that dead girl is his flesh and blood,” Mrs. Jing scoffed.
“Speaking of that girl, she’s quite the beauty, just like her mother,” the man commented, pondering how such attractive daughters could come from someone like Jing Xiaonan.
“Oh, have you set your sights on her?” Mrs. Jing asked while getting dressed.
“Of course not! She could be my daughter. I would never fancy such a young girl, they’re not to my taste. I prefer someone like you.”
“Aren’t you men all about the young girls? But it seems you’re an exception,” Mrs. Jing replied, not quite believing his words. After all, which man doesn’t like fresh faces?
Jing Xin, having overheard their conversation, realized there would be no more useful information to be gleaned and quietly slipped away.
As for what they discussed later, Jing Xin had no desire to continue eavesdropping on their indecent conversation.
Never in a million years did Jing Xin expect that Jing Peng wasn’t even a member of the Jing family. Things were about to get interesting. However, he still couldn’t figure out what these people wanted from him.
Jing Xin hurried back to the city, eager to see his wife and son again.
Meanwhile, in the Imperial Capital, Chu Molin prepared three bowls of noodles for his wife and Xue Ling, only serving himself after he’d brought them their portions. Qin Xue then scooped some of her freshly prepared sauce and meat into her noodles.
“Do you want some?” Qin Xue offered.
“Sister Qin Xue, I do! Brother-in-law, do you want some?” Xue Ling eagerly took half of it and asked Molin.
“Yeah,” Molin quickly agreed, pouring the remaining sauce into his bowl.
“Sister Qin Xue, this sauce is so delicious,” Xue Ling commented after a bite, finding it impossible to stop.
“If you like it, eat more of it. There’s still some left in the kitchen,” Qin Xue said generously.
“Really? That’s great!” Xue Ling exclaimed joyfully.
Molin simply watched his wife, thinking how kind she was. No other family would be as generous with their food, lest they end up penniless. But their family had no such concerns.
He never expected his transformed wife to be so capable, freeing him of many worries. He no longer feared the family would run out of food, a stark contrast to his concerns just a few months prior. If he still thought that way, he’d never consider it again now.
