Rebirth in Journey to the West: Sun Wukong

The Power of the Six Paths of Reincarnation could assimilate all things into reincarnation itself, and even Da Luo Golden Immortals or higher masters entering the Six Paths of Reincarnation Realms had to earnestly cultivate to withstand it, daring not allow the power of Six Paths of Reincarnation to touch them in the slightest.

No one had ever heard of someone being able to absorb it into their body. Sun Wukong was pioneering this feat, and if there had been anyone else witnessing this scene, their eyes would surely have popped out of their heads!

Compared to before, the body of the Ruyi Golden-Hooped Rod now bore many peculiar runes that were grey, inconspicuous compared to the original golden runes, but they seemed to grow from within the Ruyi Golden-Hooped Rod itself rather than being engraved upon it.

If Sun Wukong had been awake, he would have noticed that the changes in the Ruyi Golden-Hooped Rod were not just limited to this. It floated within his dantian, emitting a grey Chaotic mist. Shadowy figures of various weapons—swords, spears, axes, halberds, and more, including some weapons Sun Wukong could not even name—continuously burst forth from the rod, then retreated back into it.

The original Ruyi Golden-Hooped Rod could only change its size and length, but now possessed the ability to transform into all kinds of weapons and armor. The Immortal-Slaying Slaying Sword of the Dao was one of the Nether River Ancestor's ultimate moves, taught only to Sovereign Mara Papiyas within the Asura Tribe.

Though its power could not match that of the Nether River Ancestor, the essence of its killing power was highly refined, capable not only of destroying the physical body but also annihilating the Soul's True Spirit within the Primordial Spirit, an utterly dominant force.

Sun Wukong, with his Diamond Indestructible Body, had withstood the initial onslaught of the Immortal-Slaying Slaying Sword's attacks, but both his physical body and Primordial Spirit had suffered severe damage and were on the brink of cessation.

Fortunately, with his Ice Muscle, Jade Bone, Silver Blood, Golden Pupils, and being a step away from condensing his Dao Body, his body's and Primordial Spirit's recovery capabilities were now far superior to before. Given more days within this reincarnation passage, he would recover naturally.

Sun Wukong's body had been pushed to the very end of the Heavenly Dao channel, where a massive swirling vortex lay ahead. Should any Soul Body arrive here and enter the vortex, it would be reincarnated into the Heaven Realm.

However, for someone like Sun Wukong, who had arrived in physical form, this was the first-ever occurrence since the formation of the Six Paths of Reincarnation channel.

No one knew what would happen once he entered; perhaps his physical body would be crushed by the powerful reincarnation vortex, and his Primordial Spirit reincarnated, or maybe his physical body would be preserved, allowing him to emerge able to run and jump like Nezha from birth?

Just as Sun Wukong was about to be pushed into the vortex by the power of the Six Paths of Reincarnation, at that very moment, he finally awoke from his unconscious state.

"Where in the world am I?" he exclaimed as he opened his eyes to see a massive swirling vortex before him and felt the astonishing strangling power within. Startled, he hastily retreated, stopping only when he was dozens of feet away from the reincarnation vortex, his face a picture of unsettled nerves.

"What in the heavens is this place?"

Frowning as he remembered, Sun Wukong recalled that he had lost during the clash of ultimate moves with the Asura Demon King, Sovereign Mara Papiyas, having been struck by the Immortal-Slaying Slaying Sword, seemed to have been flung off a cliff, falling into the Endless Abyss, and then he lost consciousness, waking up to find himself in this strange place.

Looking around, it appeared to be a vast tunnel. Could it be...

Below the Endless Abyss was where the Six Paths of Reincarnation Realms were located, Sun Wukong had long heard from Yama King about this. His journey was to enter the deepest parts of Hell's Yellow Springs through the Hell Path of the Six Paths of Reincarnation Realms, to find the node between the Netherworld and the World of the Living. But which of the Six Paths was this?

"Eh, there seems to be something extra inside old Sun's body!"

Suddenly feeling a strange power flowing within him, Sun Wukong closed his eyes to sense it, and instantly his eyes shot open, wide as could be. Was this the Power of the Six Paths of Reincarnation?

"So it turns out this is the Heavenly Path among the Six Paths, and that vortex up ahead must be the reincarnation vortex that leads to the Heaven Realm."

The Power of the Six Paths of Reincarnation varied among the paths, and Sun Wukong had absorbed quite a bit of the Heavenly Path Reincarnation Power while he was unconscious. Upon careful sensing, he understood that he was indeed in the Heavenly Path.

If he passed through this reincarnation vortex of the Heavenly Path, could he directly appear in the Heaven Realm?

A thought suddenly arose in Sun Wukong's mind. After considering it, he stimulated his Cloning Divine Powers, summoned his clone, and had it walk towards the reincarnation vortex, extending one hand into the vortex.

"Ah!"

A muffled grunt. The arm of the clone that reached into the reincarnation vortex was directly crushed into pieces. The Vajra Indestructible Body offered no protection at all. Sun Wukong instantly received a jolt, hurriedly retracted the clone. The clone, split from his Cloning Divine Powers, was almost identical to him in strength.

If his clone couldn't withstand the tear of the reincarnation vortex, the outcome would likely be the same for Sun Wukong himself. It seemed that passing through this reincarnation vortex to reach the Heaven Realm was impracticable.

Guess he really had to go through the Hell Path then!

Sighing, Sun Wukong turned and flew towards the entrance of the Heavenly Path Reincarnation realm. The Chaos Qi protective shield that had enveloped him retracted into his dantian.

Just now, during his internal sensing, Sun Wukong had discovered the anomaly with the Ruyi Golden-Hooped Rod, which had finally finished merging with the Thirty-Six Purity World Blue Lotus; it was just a bit shy of a complete evolution.

Now he just needed to continue nourishing it inside his dantian for a while, waiting for the time when his cultivation broke through to the Da Luo Golden Immortal Realm, then the Ruyi Golden-Hooped Rod would completely evolve, ready to battle the skies along with him!

Without the protection of the Chaos Qi protective shield, streams of reincarnation power directly struck Sun Wukong's body, but they failed to assimilate his body. It took him a whole year to reach the exit of the Heavenly Path Reincarnation Realm.

Peeking from the Heavenly Path Reincarnation Realm and looking around, besides the Heavenly Path Reincarnation Realm where Sun Wukong was placed, there were five other paths emitting faint grey light, the other five paths of the Six Paths of Reincarnation Realms. Above the Endless Abyss, all was silent, suggesting that Asura Demon King, Sovereign Mara Papiyas, might have already left.

Turning his eyes, Sun Wukong ducked back into the Heavenly Path Reincarnation Realm. He didn't want to leave just yet!
