Chapter 70: Combat Power Evaluation, Infernal Knight Ashkar
Julian didn’t say anything anymore during the rest of the ride while Roken and Almond talked about various news regarding big families, adventurers, and other stuff.
It was past 12 o’ noon, and the sun was bright with no clouds over the city.
After arriving at the GAA branch, they went to the combat evaluation zone, a building with a big white hall installed with advanced projection Magitech.
They created 3D holograms of monsters and accurately interacted with physical and magical phenomena in a unique way. They were not physical, but any skills and attack that struck them would cause a 99% accurate reaction.
Their attacks wouldn’t register on Adventurers, but wearing a simple device would display the Adventurer’s vitality, and based on the projection monster’s attack, it would reduce the adventurer’s vitality.
Overseeing this facility was Marshal Lopol, a level 23 Platinum-rank Adventurer.
"I’ve asked the Branch Master," Marshal Lopol said as he nodded at Almond, "Your summons are allowed to carry a weapon, but you cannot. The reason is that your summon being able to use a weapon is a part of your power."
"Got it," Almond smiled. ’Now then, who should I summon?’
"We’ll start the evaluation in one minute, get ready. There will be spawning of monsters randomly for ten minutes in Stage 1. Your Combat Power rank will be determined based on the highest stage you can complete."
Almond nodded. ’I’ll go with Infernal Knight. He is not too scary and not weak-looking with his cool mount—he is perfect size and badassery to display.’
"Come out, Infernal Knight!" Almond commanded as if he were calling out his Pokemon.
Julian, Roken, and Marshal Lopol focused, curious to see his summon.
In the next second, a big vortex of dark orange and emberic red flames appeared, within which the Infernal Knight stood as a towering figure clad in dark armor veined with fiery cracks.
Wielding a massive greatsword streaked with molten patterns and a shield of ashen rock laced with lava veins, he exudes volcanic fury. Mounted atop a spectral warhorse wreathed in flames, his burning eyes peer from beneath a horned helm, scanning the battlefield with lethal focus as the air around him shimmered with heat.

The warhorse was five meters tall, and the knight atop it was an over three meters tall humanoid as the pair made a giant monstrous figure together.
"Holy shit, that’s awesome," Roken exclaimed. "Infernal Knight Ashkar, damn cool, alright!"
’It’s powerful, I can feel it. His class must be high-ranking,’ Julian clenched his fist, ’Why do people get different ranks of class at the start?’
’No, fuck unfairness! I am going to be stronger with whatever I have and get more myself! Admiral Rudra started at B-rank primary class, but he is the strongest!’
"That’s a powerful summon you got there," Marshal Lopol raised his eyebrows, his eyes glinting. "Its stats feel quite high as well. Would you mind sharing the status screen of this summon with me?"
"Me too, bro! If you don’t mind," Roken quickly said.
Almond smiled and showed his Status screen for all of them to see via the wristwatch’s hologram function.

There was a silence after Almond showed the status that lasted for three seconds before…
"Holy Smokes!" Roken shouted, his mouth wide open.
Julian’s eyes visibly trembled just like his body, ’What is…what kind of summon is this? What the fuck is this?!’ Nôv(el)B\\jnn
Marshal Lopol was also dumbfounded as he stood there stunned, and his arms crossed as he proceeded.
There was a hint of satisfaction in Almond’s eyes as he saw their reactions. He was quite proud of his four sentient creations as they had Human Spirits’ influence. He had one more that he got last, but he had yet to summon it from the Spirit Kodoku pocket and write down its name and disposition details.
And in terms of stats, aside from Alfred and Chimera Viperfiend, the rest had way higher base stats because each of them had five or more Boss Monsters’ Spirits in their Spirit Kodoku round!
"This…is very powerful, Almond," Marshal Lopol said as he composed himself, his eyes curious. "The stats are close to same leveled Field Bosses, but these skills and those quirks, along with potential growth…what rank is your class, if you don’t mind revealing it?"
’My information is classified, so whatever I say would be accepted. Let’s go with S-rank.’
"It’s an S-rank class," Almond replied with a smile.
Roken and Julian were further stunned upon hearing Almond’s class rank.
"I see, that’s what I expected," Marshal Lopol nodded, his eyes curious and focused on the Infernal Knight. "By the way, are your summons real entities in some other world? I am just assuming this because there seems to be a story based on that Quirk."
Almond chuckled, "That’s not the case. The way I get my summons is a bit special. Their stories are what I came up with. I can decide what kind of personality and disposition my summons get when I summon them first, as this can give me interesting power, as you saw in my Infernal Knight."
Almond had discovered this when he made Dark Pope Benedict, filling its disposition with a quirky personality and backstory in the mind based on its name. He was surprised to find an interesting quirk based on information he filled, so he figured out this hidden effect of influencing his summons.
Marshal Lopol was surprised. He didn’t expect something like this to be the case.
"I think…just based on this class skill that can allow you to get your summons of this type, your S-rank class can be considered one of the most powerful if I have to judge," Marshal Lopol looked at Almond with a smile. The way he looked at Almond was now completely different.
’This kid is going places if he is really talented like his profile shows. This and his class…we are finally going to have one Supper Rookie of this generation.’
"Yeah, I agree," Almond smiled. "It’s quite powerful if I have to say so myself."
"Bro, I am so envious, like damn, you are op!" Roken laughed.
Julian was completely still and silent as he observed. He suppressed his growing envy, observed, and fueled his fire to become stronger.
"Alright, one minute’s up. Here comes the first stage."
