Chapter 466: Rising Vampiric Power
On the battlefield, which was scattered all over the city, different explosions and killings were taking place within an indefinite interval of time.
That alarmed different Clans because those explosions were on...
In the territory of many of them. There were explosions in important places, which created fury within each Clan.
"Shit, who’s the bastard who infiltrated our territory!?" after the first shout from the Kaze Leader, a burly, bloodied man came from a distance.
"Lord!" The man stumbled and fell to the ground, so someone went to pick him up. "I’m working up north! A large number of people from Adams and one of the Main Clans stormed our base there; they were powerful, and we couldn’t do anything. The base was blown up!"
When the first one came, news of smaller explosions occurring elsewhere reached him.
The anger on Kaze’s face reached its limit. "Everyone, abandon war tactics! THIS MUST BE A MASSACRE!"
"The Kaze Clan is preparing to wipe out all the Adams!" he shouted, but suddenly, several strange shouts came from outside.
"Lord, get out of there; there are explosives!" Those shouts alerted him, but they seemed to come too late.
Suddenly, a terrifying explosion girdled over this place and startled everyone present.
Still, a voice was heard from within the explosion. "Hmph, cheap tricks!" Suddenly, the wind’s drastic movement sapped the huge explosion, and it receded, wrapping itself like a curtain and moving away from the place.
Still, everything had been destroyed.
And some people had died.
At that moment, Matthew, who was nearby wearing the mask, frowned as he threw himself off the top of a building. He looked as if...
Did he want to fight that man?
But halfway down, he suddenly diverted his attention and grabbed some of the scattering from the explosion, expanding it all over the place and causing dust to start hitting the surroundings below him again.
’I see, so blast deaths caused by my explosive inscriptions don’t give me power. Tsk, what a waste of bodies.’ Even as he thought that, in mid-air, he got comfortable to launch himself at one of the guys he had alerted from earlier.
’You must have good power. Give me at least 5,000 power, and I’ll be happy.’ Matthew grinned sinisterly and appeared behind that guy in an instant. The guy’s head flew tens of meters after that.
That caused many people to notice an attack and turn around. Even though there was a lot of dust, some of them could see and threw themselves at Matthew.
He was disappointed that the power he was given didn’t seem to be as much as he wanted. ’I’ve gotten so used to fighting powerful people that I think I’ll find them everywhere.’ He sighed and looked straight ahead.
Then he smiled. ’I guess a little bit at a time makes a lot.’ He thought.
’Free power, come here.’ He smiled and stepped forward. His step was so fast that he appeared in front of one of them in an instant.
"You chose the path to death since you allied yourself with that organization. Don’t regret your decisions."
He swung his sword and decapitated him, subsequently moving towards the other behind him.
The heads flew from one side to the other, and the blood from those bodies began to enter Matthew’s body, so the bonus that one began to activate, and his power continued to grow; although it did not increase too much, it was enough.
Still, suddenly, Matthew had to bend his body backward, and a powerful kick crossed his sight.
"You’re fast, Kaze Leader." Matthew smiled and froze time in front of him, subsequently moving at great speed away from there.
Immediately afterward, the frozen time broke, and Kaze Leader was shocked. ’This damn assassin...’ The fury on his face increased after realizing who the attacker was.
"You’re the Adams’ ally, you bastard; get out of there!" he snarled.
But what he received was a tremendous blow to the head. "Stupid old man, who shouts in the middle of a battlefield so everyone knows where you are? That’s why today, the Kaze Clan will be eradicated by my hand." Robert Adams said, with mockery clear in his tone of voice.
The Kaze Leader stood up again and looked over. The dust had finally dispersed, thanks to the blow, so he could see the mess. "Tsk looks like I won’t be able to kill your sidekick. But no matter, I’ll kill you first and then see if that bastard can run away from my hand."
Soon, the two got into a terrifying battle that even made Matthew have to leave and watch from afar.
"Wow, these guys look like they want to end it all. How much hate there is here." He said mockingly.
Still, the truth was that he was amazed by the power of those two guys. And soon, they again invoked the power of the Paths they were following.
That increased each’s power by several folds, and the battle raged fiercely between the two.
Along with Robert had come numerous people from the Adams Clan, including his son, Ryan Adams.
He had to come here as soon as he was notified and openly supported Matthew’s decision, so he was also here, hoping to see him. This student, who was more amazing than an entire Academic Clan and who could turn the situation around in Clan City, was now an idol in that director’s heart.
They were all fighting at this moment, so the destruction was great.
That made Matthew smile. He immediately put away his sword and pulled out the crystal ball. Nôv(el)B\\jnn
Without hesitation, he tested his power.
Suddenly, a staggering number appeared before his sight.
-Vampiric Power: 91,000.
That amount of power made Matthew smile. He turned his gaze to the front, where the battle of Adams vs Kaze took place.
"My work here is complete. The Adams will take this opportunity to kill these guys. The dead, in general, have already crossed a major threshold. The destruction is shocking enough, but a few things are still missing..." He said, looking up at the other clans fighting on the horizon.
"If what Jack Alen said is true, none of these guys have achieved even the first level in their respective paths. Even so, according to what he himself said, you need an understanding of the Paths to be able to advance deeply past 100,000. And these guys have over 130,000 power, so that makes me think that you don’t need to reach the first level to get there."
"But I’m already at the first level." He smiled broadly and drew his sword again. "If I’m right, I’d only need to kill a few moderately powerful guys to cross the threshold. But...
I wonder if the fact that my skills haven’t evolved like the Heirs say, will be what’s holding me back or if my skills don’t need to evolve, like theirs." He quickly started running towards where he had noticed people with some power.
"I guess I’ll find out in a moment."
