Primordial Soul's Rebirth

CHAPTER 356 - Maurice Dead?

"So, Maurice Noxviel, have you come here to claim your prize?"

Alex, who was sitting on his throne with Azaroth by his side and Luna on the other, questioned the crown prince of Noxveil as he kept patting Noctura, who was positioned on his lap.

He stared at Maurice, who seemed to have aged a lot in just a day.

His shoulders were slumped, his eyes were sunken, and his face was paler.

Muarice right now looked like a guy who was having an existential crisis, or something like that.

And he actually was.

Since the moment he found out what he had done, he couldn't believe it.

'Who did it?'

'Did someone control him?'

Such questions did appear in his head, but he couldn't come to a solid conclusion.

He even doubted that maybe it was Alex, the demon lord, who did it, but that conclusion was soon trashed as well.

Why would the demon lord do that to him?

There was nothing a being as great as Alex could possibly achieve from doing that to him.

But if not him, then who was it?

Lokiath?

That loser?

No way he would believe that.

That bastard is better at drinking piss.

*Chuckle*

He let out a low chuckle inwardly as he recalled the scene of Lokiath lying in the pool of his piss.

No matter what happened, he did receive the satisfaction he was craving.

He got to see the look he had always wanted to see on Lokiath's face—the look of utter despair.

But he hasn't seen Elenia after that.

The last time he saw her, she had her face flushed and she was looking at him with love-filled eyes.

'She loves me now!'

As he recalled that, his body energized on its own, and his eyes turned brighter than ever before.

*Chuckle*

Alex, on the other hand, chuckled as he read the guy like an open book.

[He still believes that it was the truth.]

Sophia, who, same as Alex, could see everything, giggled as she recalled how Alex had used his guise ability to make it look like Elenia was enthralled by Maurice, and the guy believed it to be the truth.

"Yes, my lord."

Maurice replied to Alex's question, his face a bit brighter than before after he recalled the look on Elenia's face.

'She still loved me even after she saw my micro...'

He, although depressed by the events that took place yesterday, was still happy that at least he got something—something he had been trying to get since he was 7—and that is Elenia's heart.

"All right then, Azaroth will take you there."

Alex gave Maurice a slow nod before he gazed at Azaroth, who bowed his head before he appeared right next to Maurice.

"Let's go, young man."

Then, with a subtle nod to Alex, Azaroth disappeared from the spot.

"Are we really going to kill him?"

Luna questioned Alex right after Azaroth disappeared.

"No."

Alex's reply, however, caused her to frown her brows.

"But didn't you say—"

Luna tried to ask more about it, but Alex cut her words.

"I did say he would die, but I never said we would be the ones who would kill him."

"Huh?"

His words, however, confused Luna more.

"So, you are planning to have him killed by someone?"

Luna asked after pondering for a while, but Alex again shook his head.

"Why not just see who does it and how it happens?"

Alex stood up from his seat with Noctura still in his arms.

Luna, who heard his words, raised a brow, but she nodded nonetheless.

"Sure."

This will answer all of her doubts.

Alex, after hearing her reply, extended his arm to her, which Luna happily held on to before...

*Woosh*

With a woosh, all three of them were zapped 500 meters ahead, but it didn't end there as it happened again.

*Swoosh*

Alex had been training this single skill for a while, and with this alone, Alex was sure that one day he would be able to zap to distances so far away that even teleportation would look like a baby in front of it.

"Now, wait and watch."

Alex spoke after they reached a large black-colored and golden-rimmed door.

"Is this the Imperial Treasury?"

Luna inquired in a curious tone, and Alex nodded at her words.

"Yes, now watch."

Alex asserted before his eyes locked on the door of the treasury, as if waiting for something, and the next second, Maurice was teleported out by Azaroth, a happy smile tugging his lips.

It was as if he had found something unexpected, something he didn't think was in there, but whatever it was, he seemed to like it a lot.

*Woosh*

Alex waved his hand, covering all three of them, including Noctura, who had been observing everything silently with his guise ability, making them invisible to Maurice.

The guise ability that Alex had was now upgraded to epic rank as Alex had used his ability upgrade token that he had gotten from some quests on it.

The guise manipulation was now an epic 3-ranked ability—something that could be used to fool the legendary rankers as well.

So, other than the generals, Selina, and Azaroth, there were only a few who could see through Alex's disguise.

Soon, Marice was sitting in his carriage, oblivious to the presence of three more beings sitting next to him.

They were, of course, Alex, Luna, and Noctura.

Luna, who, as Alex had asked her to, came here to get her answers, waited patiently, while Alex just kept patting Noctura, much to the pup's happiness.

Things went on smoothly, and the carriage was moving without a problem as well, but that was until it stopped.

A sudden halt.

That was what happened to the carriage; it was as if someone had pressed the brakes of the carriage.

"What's going on?"

Maurice muttered with a frown, waiting for the driver to open the door, but after not seeing it happen, he just groaned inwardly and opened the door himself.

*Click*

The doorknob opened with a click, and Maurice got out of the carriage, oblivious to the presence of a pair of eyes that were staring at him with anything but good intentions.

"What's wrong with the carriage—!"

Maurice moved toward the driver, wanting to inquire about the problem he was facing, only to have his words stuck in his throat as he saw the dead body of the guy.

*Woosh*

With his body tense and eyes darting around, looking for any possible culprit, a silver sword appeared in his hand.

"Who's it?! Come out!"

Maurice yelled with an alert look in his eyes.

The carriage driver or coachman was an epic-ranker, someone who was supposed to protect Maurice in case someone attacked him, and if someone was able to kill that person with such swiftness, then they were at least an epic-ranker.

And Maurice, an EX-ranker wouldn't be able to defeat them, but that was only for normal cases...

Right now, Maurice had something that could help him kill a legendary ranker, much less an epic ranker.

But he was reluctant to use it, not before he got to see who his enemy was, but...

*Pierce*

*Cough*

Maurice coughed out blood as his gaze turned to look at his chest, which now had a black-colored sword coming out of it.

'N-No way...'

*Thud*

He saw the reflection of his killed in the sword as the killed was a foot higher than him, and to his shock and disbelief, it was the guy who had turned into a laughingstock of the whole demon empire, Lokiath Fyzenar.

But that was the last thing he saw before his body fell to the ground with a muffled thud.

Leaving Lokiath standing alone under the dark sky that was dimly lit by the stars and moon, with a cold look in his eyes, staring at the guy's dead body.

"I will take this."

He bent down, pulling the storage ring out of the guy's fingers before he turned around to leave, but then he paused...

A sharp glint flashed past his eyes before he turned toward Maurice again.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

*ZIIPPP*

He loosened the zipper of his pants before he pulled it down and took out his little brother...

*Pitter**Patter*...

Then, just like one would expect him to do, he peed on the body of the now-dead crown prince of Noxviel.

Luna, Alex, and Noctura saw everything, though; they were standing next to the carriage and only saw Lokiath's back, but they got what had happened.

*Woosh*

Alex, who noticed that Luna got her answers, then zapped away from there along with both Luna and Noctura.

'Who?!'

Lokiath, on the other hand, snapped his head toward the carriage as he felt like there was someone, but after not finding anyone, he went back to stare at the pee-stained body of Maurice before he left the area with a satisfied look on his face.

Even if he couldn't bring back what he had lost the day before, he could at least take revenge on all those who laughed at his misery.

'Alex Matthew…'

The face of the demon lord, who was on top of his hit list, flashed in front of his eyes as he clenched his fists.

'Just you wait.'
