Siwoo finally fulfilled all of our hopes.

The Demon King of Demon Kings.

Lucifer, the leader of the Seven Demon Lords, was annihilated just like the others—with his head and heart ripped out.

“Damn... I really thought I was going to die this time.”

Siwoo collapsed beside Lucifer’s blackening corpse, gasping for breath.

His condition was catastrophic.

It was hard to find a single spot on his body that wasn’t injured, and there were even gaping wounds in his abdomen where his organs were visible.

The fact that he was still alive was nothing short of a miracle.

Despite the pain that engulfed his entire body, the fire in his eyes burned more intensely than ever.

“Siwoo... Siwoo.”

Tears streamed down my face as I placed my hands over his battered body.

The land, tainted by Lucifer’s miasma, reeked of death, which continued to crawl toward us.

I spread my divine power, driving back the shadows of death.

I wrapped Siwoo’s body in divine light, shielding him so that not even death could touch him.

“If someone saw this, they’d think I was already dead.”

“Just stay still.”

“If this is the price for killing Lucifer, I’d say it was a bargain. You always get like this after every fight with a Demon Lord. You act like they’re pushovers or something, but there’s no way to beat them without getting hurt.”

“If you were just an ordinary human, you’d be dead.”

“And hearing that from the person who dragged me into this mess feels... pretty weird, don’t you think?”

Siwoo grinned playfully as he looked at me.

“So I can finally go home now, right?”

“Of course.”

“I can’t exactly show up to my family looking like this, so I’ll need to recover first. I guess I’ll clean up the leftovers while I’m at it. There are still some remnants, right?”

His love for his family was what had brought him this far.

Watching him like this made my chest ache all over again.
