Chapter 380: Chapter 380: Talent Awakening, Crushing Mountain Ghost
Chapter 380: Chapter 380: Talent Awakening, Crushing Mountain Ghost
"Interesting!" Mountain Ghost glanced at the injury on his shoulder, only to become even more excited. The wound had no effect on him at all.
Whoosh!
The earth elemental law condensed once more, forming two massive war hammers.
Mountain Ghost swung the hammers with terrifying force, and the winds howled. His attacks became even more ferocious, relentlessly striking at John.
The World-in-Hand trembled, the space around them shattering inch by inch.
John, covered in wounds, was completely powerless to defend himself, barely avoiding being crushed with each strike. The situation was becoming increasingly perilous.
Sini, filled with urgency, attempted to summon a powerful gray mist, but it did nothing to slow Mountain Ghost down.
Boom boom...
Suddenly, a rumbling sound echoed through the World-in-Hand, accompanied by a terrifying aura that seemed to descend from above.
"Hmm?" Mountain Ghost furrowed his brow and stopped his assault, looking toward the direction of the Tree of Life.
John, given a brief moment to catch his breath, quickly suppressed the injuries within him and also turned his gaze toward the Tree of Life, his eyes widening in shock.
A small, fragile figure was seen pulling out the massive sword that was part of The Immortals inheritance. It was Spoorate!
Had her talent awakened?
John was astounded, his mind reeling. But the most shocking part was how this little girl, who had just awakened her talent, could unleash such terrifying power.
He didn't have time to think further. Spoorate was holding the giant sword's hilt, struggling but determined to pull the sword free.
Boom boom...
A surge of The power of laws erupted, and the World-in-Hand trembled violently, on the verge of collapsing.
"This is bad!" John snapped back to reality. He didn't have time to dwell on Spoorate's sudden awakening, so he hurriedly activated Creation and Destruction to stabilize the World- in-Hand.
"Big guy, dare to hurt my big brother? Die!" A childish voice rang out, but no one dared to underestimate it.
Spoorate, with great effort, lifted the giant sword. With all her strength, she managed to swing it, bringing it down on Mountain Ghost with incredible force.
Crack crack...
A thunderous roar filled the air as the power of laws from the giant sword surged. Some of the laws were ones John had never seen before.
The overwhelming force caused the surrounding space to collapse and shatter.
John's expression turned serious. He was even more nervous than Mountain Ghost, gritting his teeth as he gathered the remaining energy within his body and once again used Creation and Destruction to stabilize the World-in-Hand.
Boom!
The giant sword fell, and Mountain Ghost's entire body, along with half of the World-in- Hand, disintegrated into nothingness.
Everyone stood frozen in place, utterly stunned by the sight before them.
Even John, though not surprised, was still in shock. He never could have imagined that the massive sword from The Immortals inheritance could be wielded as a weapon.
This was only the second time he had seen an attack from The Immortals inheritance. The first time was when The Immortals inheritance had actively opened the passage to the Shadow Star on Skyline Continent.
"This is the second time," John thought, still in shock. This time, it was Spoorate who wielded the giant sword in an attack.
"You... you are The Rebel Against Heaven!" Mountain Ghost exclaimed in disbelief, completely disregarding his injuries. His eyes locked on Spoorate with a mixture of fear and disbelief.
The Rebel Against Heaven?
John was confused. He had no idea what that meant. It seemed related to Spoorate's awakened talent.
At this moment, the little girl was still struggling with the enormous sword's hilt, gasping for breath. Her small face was flushed red as she tried to lift the sword again. However, after several attempts, the sword didn't budge. It seemed that the previous strike had drained all
her energy.
"Little one, leave it to me!" John said, his voice steady. He canceled his Dragon Transformation, but kept the Heaven and Earth Transformation active. Taking a step forward, he reached Spoorate's side and grabbed the sword's hilt.
"Ugh, it's so heavy!" he gasped in surprise. He couldn't even budge the sword.
"Big brother, use Telepathy," Spoorate quickly reminded him.
Telepathy?
John was bewildered, not understanding how the little girl had managed to lift the sword in the first place.
"I'll help you," Spoorate said as she jumped onto his large fist. She grabbed his fingernail and gently stroked the sword's hilt.
Buzz!
Streams of The power of laws flowed through Spoorate's body, entering John's form.
He felt a surge of energy, and with all his strength, he clenched the sword's hilt. His forehead creased with effort, his veins bulging as he finally managed to lift the giant sword, albeit with great difficulty.
Mountain Ghost, witnessing this, was filled with fear. His remaining half-body trembled
slightly.
Having been severely injured, he was no longer capable of fighting back, let alone stopping John's impending strike.
"Human, if you continue to associate with The Rebel Against Heaven, you'll end up with a worse fate!" Mountain Ghost snarled in fury.
"Hmph, you should worry about yourself first," John retorted coldly. "By the way, your disciple is already dead at my hands."
John gave him a pointed reminder before swinging the giant sword down with all his might. "What...?" Mountain Ghost's eyes blazed with rage, but before he could react, the giant sword came crashing down.
Boom!
A deafening roar filled the air as a terrifying force surged through the space. Mountain Ghost's remaining half-body was obliterated in an instant, destroyed beyond recognition.
[You have killed an Eight-Star Awakened One. Plunder talent activated. Your strength has been
restored by 0.0001%.]
The notification flashed before John's eyes, but he didn't allow himself to relax.
The devastating power continued to spread, wreaking havoc within the World-in-Hand.
He quickly abandoned the giant sword, summoning the Immortal Sword and activating Creation and Destruction to stabilize the World-in-Hand.
Fortunately, just as his internal energy was about to be depleted completely, he managed to stabilize the World-in-Hand enough to prevent its collapse.
"That was close..." he sighed in relief, no longer able to maintain the Heaven and Earth Transformation. He reverted to his original form.
The others quickly gathered around, all visibly shaken, their expressions filled with both awe
and relief.
"Little sister, how are you able to wield The Immortals legacy?" Sini asked, her gaze roaming
over Spoorate with curiosity.
She had taken quite a liking to the little girl. Spoorate's personality reminded her a lot of Jean's, but she hadn't expected this little one to be so powerful.
Spoorate tilted her head, equally puzzled. "I'm not sure. After my talent awakened, it just felt
like I could use this giant sword."
The group already knew about the little girl's awakened talent, but they were still baffled, unable to connect it to The Immortals legacy in any way.
Meanwhile, Debbie furrowed her brows, her eyes filled with concern as she stared at Spoorate.
She remembered what Mountain Ghost had said before his death.
The Rebel Against Heaven. While others might not know what that meant, Debbie was well
aware.
She glanced at John, her words caught in her throat. She struggled, unable to speak her mind.
Spoorate was innocent and naïve. Though she had a bit of a rebellious streak, she certainly didn't seem like the violent Rebel Against Heaven from the legends.
At that moment, John spoke up. "Everyone, let's rest for now. We still have a formidable
enemy outside."
He thought about the Butcher lurking outside. This opponent was no less powerful than Mountain Ghost.
Had this been before, he wouldn't have been confident in defeating such an enemy. But now, with the ability to harness The Immortals legacy, he was sure he could kill him.
But before that, he needed to recover his depleted energy. Among them, only he and Sini needed to rest. The others were fine.
"Master, this was dropped by Mountain Ghost earlier," Debbie said, handing him a jade
stone.
The jade stone pulsed with a massive force of earth element. John took it and examined it
curiously. [Heart of the Earth Element: Requires 100% comprehension of the Earth Elemental Law for refinement. Once refined, it will transform into the Body of the Earth Element.]
It directly transformed the body into the Earth Element! John was shocked. When he had undergone elemental transformation himself, it had taken a hundred corresponding Spirit Stones of the Earth Element to achieve.
But this Heart of the Earth Element could directly transform the body. Unfortunately, he couldn't use it. His body had already completed elemental transformation.
There were few strong practitioners of the Earth Element around him.
He thought of Tony, but that guy was too weak. Tony's primary focus was on water elemental power, and his comprehension of the Earth Elemental Law hadn't reached 100%. He wouldn't be able to use it effectively, and even if he did, the benefits would be minimal.
"It seems this is better suited for Cand-Dragon or Nature God," John mused. Both of them
practiced Earth Elemental Law as well.
However, he still didn't know their whereabouts.
John stopped dwelling on it, casually putting the Heart of the Earth Element away and focusing
on recovering his strength.
In just the time it took for a cup of tea, his power was fully restored. "Spoorate, let's go out and deal with that Butcher," he said, standing up and looking at
Spoorate. He himself couldn't control the giant sword of The Immortals; he could only rely on
Spoorate's strength.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
"Alright!" The little girl responded eagerly, her face filled with excitement.
"Stay inside my World-in-Hand for now," John instructed the others.
This time, he didn't intend to draw the Butcher into his World-in-Hand for the fight. If he
made a mistake and the World-in-Hand was destroyed in the process, it would be more
trouble than it was worth.
With a thought, he led Spoorate back toward Golden Tiger City.
A strong, rancid smell of blood assaulted their senses as they approached. John's eyes sharpened as he saw the scene before him, his brow furrowing in distaste.
"How brutal!" Spoorate couldn't help but gasp, clutching his hand tightly.
The ground was littered with shredded bodies, or rather, shredded flesh. These were the remains of The Heaven criminals and the governor's subordinates.
Nearby, the Butcher was sitting calmly on the ground, wiping the blood from his longsword
with a relaxed expression.
"Hm? You're still alive?" He raised an eyebrow upon seeing John suddenly appear, his face
twisting into a cold sneer. "Where's Mountain Ghost?"
"Dead," John replied curtly, uninterested in engaging in pointless banter. He immediately
activated his Heaven and Earth Transformation.
Whoosh!
A gale whipped up around him, and a terrifying pressure descended as he transformed into a
colossal giant.
"Eh? What a powerful enhancement skill!" Butcher glanced at John in his giant form, a little surprised, but his expression remained one of disdain.
He slowly stood up, stretching his limbs and letting the Bloodthirst in his eyes shine through.
"You don't have enough power to kill Mountain Ghost. Go ahead, use whatever other tricks you've got. I'll make it quick for you."
"Heh!" John sneered, and with a thought, he summoned the Immortals legacy from his World-
in-Hand.
Boom!
A giant sword appeared, planted between them like a barrier.
"The Immortals legacy!" The Butcher exclaimed in surprise, recognizing the sword at once.
"You're from the Initial World, aren't you? That explains it..." he muttered, quickly deducing
John's identity. His Bloodthirst glinted in his eyes as he licked his lips, a wild gleam of excitement flashing across his face.
Initial World?
John frowned slightly, sensing that there were still secrets about his previous world that he
didn't fully understand. Particularly, the way Mountain Ghost and Butcher had reacted after
learning his identity-it seemed like it had stirred something deep within them. But it appeared he could no longer return to that world. "Spoorate, get on," he said, pushing those thoughts aside. He extended his hand, and
Spoorate leapt up onto it without hesitation.
Once again relying on Spoorate's strength, he gripped the giant sword's hilt with all his might, straining to slowly pull it from the ground.
