Chapter 365 Sealed Lotus Sanctuary (1)

A/N: I made a mistake. Han Zhi and Mei Zhi are actually brother and sister, and their names are Zhi Han and Zhi Mei, I mixed the names up in the previous chapters.

"Everyone, be careful. Just one mistake could cause a big problem. Always think about the situation and any possible dangers before you do anything."

A man in his forties spoke to a group of ten people; he was one of the Liu family's senior members.

In the group, there were seven men and three women.

One woman and one man were at the early stage of the Divine Stage.

"Liu Ruyue, Liu Zhenhai, you two need to be very cautious and avoid any risks," the man said, addressing the two who were at the divine stage.

"Okay," Liu Ruyue and Liu Zhenhai agreed, understanding the danger of the place.

Liu Zhenhai couldn't help but look toward the Zhu family. "We need to watch out for them," he whispered to Liu Ruyue.

Liu Ruyue followed his gaze.

"It doesn't matter. We just need to keep our distance from them."

It was obvious that the Liu family's relationship with the Zhu family was strained, and they were cautious of any possible conflict.

The elders of other families also told their groups to be careful.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

As the moment drew near, a deep silence settled over the gathering. The three grandmasters spoke briefly before moving aside, revealing an old doorway. The entrance to the ruins stood before them, its detailed carvings glowing softly with energy.

One of the grandmasters turned to the groups and spoke.

"The doors will open now. Keep in mind, you have three days. After that, the doors will close, and anyone still inside will be sent out," he said seriously.

[CREAKKK~~!!]

A low hum filled the air as the doorway slowly creaked open, showing a dimly lit path leading into darkness.

Chen Tian took a deep breath and looked at Aria and Emilia. "Stick with me. No unnecessary risks."

"Got it," Aria replied, her eyes full of determination.

Emilia nodded, her voice calm.

"Let's move."

"Everyone, good luck," Ming Jian said as he watched his daughter and the others head toward the gate, looking worried.

He knew the dangers waiting beyond the gate, but he also knew they were their family's only hope.

One by one, everyone began to pass through the gate; finally, it was the Ming family's turn.

As they stood before the gate, the group felt a wave of nervousness. A sudden wind blew through the gate, making them all feel even more tense.

"It... looks really scary," Ming Ming admitted, her voice trembling slightly.

The darkness stretched out endlessly before them, and the unknown dangers inside the old building were deeply unsettling.

"Hey, if we wait too long, we might miss out on finding good treasures," Ming Lei said, eager to enter but staying still because he didn't want to upset Liang Wei.

He wasn't sure about Chen Tian, Emilia, and Aria's abilities, but he knew the others were at the Mid-Martial Art Stage like him, while Liang Wei was at the higher stage.

'After this trip, I really need to focus on getting stronger,' he thought, waiting for the group to go in.

"Wu Ye, do you sense anything unusual?" Chen Tian inquired silently.

"No, everything seems fine inside the gate," Wu Ye responded, carefully examining their surroundings.

Even with her current skills, she couldn't find any hidden threats within the gate. The group cautiously entered, and Wu Ye, who was within Chen Tian's soul sea, continued to monitor their environment.

After making a contract with Chen Tian, she hasn't been able to use all her strength; even her divine sense has gotten weaker.

Because of her injuries, her cultivation regressed to the Dao Ancestor level, but she was sure she could check the whole Earth. However, this place made her unsure. Even if she got back to her strongest state, which was at the Immortal level and higher, she still wasn't confident.

Those old ruins gave off a strange and powerful energy that messed with her senses.

As soon as the group went through the gate, Chen Tian and Wu Ye, who were more sensitive, felt the surrounding space change.

In just a short time, they ended up in a place they didn't know.

"What is this place?"

Lin Xue asked, her voice a mix of nervousness and curiosity.

The area was a corridor.

Cracked paths wound through thick, wild plants, and soft light came from nowhere, as if there was no sky. Broken statues were scattered around, their damaged faces and bent limbs giving the place a spooky, ghostly feel.

The smell of wet stone and rotting leaves filled the air, making it seem like the place had been abandoned for centuries.

The girls in the group huddled closer together, clearly uneasy. Zhi Mei looked at a fallen statue of a figure holding a staff, its head missing. Her voice shook a little. "This place… it feels like something really bad happened here."

"Stay alert," Zhi Han warned, his voice steady but quiet. "Places like this aren't just eerie; they're risky. Anything could happen here."

Lin Xue agreed with a nod, though her hand stayed close to her sword. "Right, but it's not just the statues. I feel like something's… watching us."

Chen Tian moved ahead, his face calm, but his eyes sharp as he checked their surroundings.

"Chen Tian, my divine sense is greatly limited here. At first, I could use the perception of a Peak Core Formation cultivator, but now I can only use the perception of a Foundation Realm cultivator," Wu Ye explained, sounding worried.

It was the first time this kind of restriction had occurred, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease creeping over her, since such places always seemed to hold bad news.

Chen Tian nodded, realizing how serious the situation was.

"We need to be careful," he said, looking at the group before leading them further into the old pathway.

Everyone began walking behind him because they agreed that Chen Tian was the team leader, and no one disagreed with his choice.

"I can't believe a place like this is here," Aria said, looking around.

"These kinds of places are very rare and contain valuable treasures, but only the Grandmaster Association knows how to find them. It's not guaranteed that our families will be part of the search," Zhi Mei explained.

"What do you mean, it's not certain that other families will join next time?" Emilia asked, turning to Zhi Mei with a curious look.

Zhi Mei paused before answering,

"The grandmaster association has strict rules about who can join these kinds of ruins. Even with our skills, there's no guarantee our families will be picked to search for valuables in these ancient ruins again."

"Zhi Mei is right; since it depends also on our luck, we were just lucky that this ruin was close to our country," Ming Ming added.

Since she was Ming Jian's daughter, she was more aware of the rules and regulations of the Grandmaster Association.

"The association will first locate the ancient ruin, and only after confirming its location will they check which families are close enough to join the search for valuable items inside."

"Wait, if they could locate ancient ruins like this, then why didn't they use it for themselves?" Aria questioned. Read new chapters at empire

"Maybe they have their own reasons for not hiding the locations, but only people under 30 can go inside those ruins. Everyone in the association is a grandmaster who is much older than 30."

Zhi Han spoke.

'Chen Tian!'

While everyone was chatting, Chen Tian and Wu Ye stayed alert. Suddenly, Wu Ye sensed something unusual in the air and quickly warned Chen Tian.

However, since even Wu Ye's powerful senses were dulled, Chen Tian's were even worse. As soon as he heard Wu Ye's warning, he used his Chaos Insight to look at the other side of the hallway.

"What the heck!"
