Novel's Extra: I Awakened The Strongest Physique From The Start

CHAPTER 57 - Who are they?

"WHERE IS MY CHILD!?!?!"

The whole Originveil City shook when a roar echoed from the center of one of the peaks of the Originveil City.

No one heard the roar, but everyone could feel the tremor under them—something that alerted every single person living in the city. One must know that when it's said 'every single person', entities like Vanessa—the strongest being alive among the human race—are included.

There was no way there would be an earthquake in Originveil City. The city was literally flying, and even if it was on the ground, there was no way for there to be any kind of natural disaster or calamity hitting the city.

It was governed by an entity powerful enough to stop those things, after all.

So, without hesitation, everyone strong enough to sense something amiss moved. They were all beings capable of turning cities upside down, yet they were moving to inquire about a thing as minor as small turbulence.

That was because all of them knew the person who governed this city.

There has never been anything like this happening in Originveil City. Not after that one time when the whole city was covered in blood—an incident that marked the start of a new era.

So, some fearing the worst and some excited about it, all moved with haste.

The one responsible for the tremor, however, had suddenly gone silent, making the city stop shaking. But the reason for their silence was not anything ordinary. It was a being who shone so brightly that they seemed to be made of light.

"Calm down. Do not make a scene."

Those were the only things that left the lips of the being covered in blinding bright lips.

"But my son—!"

The owner of the roar, a colossal, majestic, and terrifying being—a dragon with vanta black scales flashing with strange purple energy—tried to protest, its voice deep, strong, and ear-shattering, but the moment it tried to do it...

"I said. Calm Down."

Thud

The light surrounding the mysterious figure intensified, making the dragon widen its ominously shining purple eyes before it found itself flat on the ground. Its scales—stronger than any metal on the planet—cracked a bit due to an unknown pressure as its claws dug into the ground in order to not get completely crushed.

"Grhhhh!!"

It growled in pain—something it had never felt before. It was agonizing. The feeling of having its scales cracking, some piercing it on the inside, and it felt like it would die, but it just lowered its head.

A dragon—a race known for their pride and power—lowered its head. No sign of resistance whatsoever even appeared on its dangerous, sharp, and ominous eyes.

Crack-Crack

"Ghhh!"

The only things audible in this area for a while were some cracking sounds and deep, loud growls, filled with unending pain.

Gasp!

It was only when the bright, mysterious figure judged the punishment for going against its words enough that it elevated the pressure, letting the dragon gasp for breath.

"Why did you wake up this early?" Questioned the figure in an emotionless and gender-neutral voice. It didn't care about the way the dragon was still trying to lift its 100-meter-long body; it just wanted an answer.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Things have gone far too different from what they were supposed to go, but most of it was events happening earlier than expected. This, however, was one of those events that wasn't supposed to happen.

The dragon—the supposed guardian of this city—was never supposed to wake up. The guardian is only supposed to wake up when the city is in immediate danger or it's being attacked—none of which is happening right now.

So, the question of the figure remained. Why?

"Because I sensed the absence of my child—" The dragon replied, groaning as its broken scales, which were supposed to have healed in less than a second, still weren't getting healed, probably the work of the figure in front of it.

"Is that all?" The figure, however, cut off the dragon's words. It was as if it wasn't interested in this at all. There was something big happening. Something even the figure couldn't understand, so the figure simply decided to end the topic and return to see how things had been and if something had changed again.

"Yes," replied the dragon, a bit confused as to why the being seemed to be in a hurry, but it kept its confusion to itself.

"Would you return to your slumber if you knew your child was safe?" The figure questioned, the light surrounding it blinking for a second.

"Yes. I have nothing else to do—" The dragon replied, but its words were cut off again.

"Your child is safe, and if you want to know where it is, then I can show you." The figure spoke, its voice still the same.

The dragon, however, frowned hard. Its child is somewhere else? Who moved it? Its child wasn't even supposed to be born yet, and you're saying that it's safe and staying somewhere? What kind of joke was that?

But no matter what it thought on the inside, the dragon didn't show it on the outside. Its wounds were still green, after all.

"I want to see my child." Just not wanting to raise a ruckus, however, didn't mean that it would let this topic off. It was something related to the disappearance of its child—the only one it could ever have.

"As you wish." The mysterious entity, listening to the dragon's words, nodded its head before it waved its human-like hands.

Woosh

The next second, a view of a boy sleeping peacefully appeared in front of the dragon. It was on an illusionary screen-like display, but the dragon was perfectly sure that it was not an illusion—precisely why it was shocked more.

'M-My child...' The dragon's large claw, way larger than the screen in front of its eyes, moved to touch it, only to find it disappearing.

"N-No..." It tried to hold the particles that the screen broke into in the false hope of being able to see its child for longer. It had never thought that its child would grow so much, after all.

"Now that you have seen your child, go back."

The figure, however, simply waved its hand again, creating a large gap in space. It was something that could've left people with their jaws hanging, but there was no one to see it.

The dragon, knowing full well that it couldn't stay here any longer, just glanced toward the academy city, the third peak to be exact, but after a moment, it just sighed and stepped into the portal, leaving for a long sleep.

Woosh!

Soon, with the dragon gone, only the mysterious figure was left, who, just like the dragon, turned to look at the third peak of the academy before it vanished from there, making the forest return back to how it was supposed to.

The plants, trees, and even the ground that had been completely destroyed just because of the dragon's presence healed in just a second. It was as if someone had moved the time back. But again, no one was here to see this miracle.

On the third peak, however, a boy with messy white hair and electric blue eyes was standing on his bed with an alert expression on his face.

It was Alex, and just a second ago, he woke up due to something disturbing.

'What was that?' He muttered as his chest heaved due to his long breaths. For a second, when he was sleeping, he felt like he was being stared at by someone—someone with strength out of his imagination.

[...I don't know.]

But this time, even Sophie was clueless.

She knew everything or so was what they thought until now, but it looked like even she had limits.

Alex found it quite hard to sleep that night, and if not for his ability to help him sleep, he wouldn't have been able to close his eyes for the whole night.

At least that night after he slept, he was able to explain things to the beast and tell them that he didn't run away because he didn't want to reward Nyxia, lifting a huge weight off the small wings of that poor owl.
