Chapter 2600: Devil Calamity (4)
Long Xi's eyes widened in horror.
"No..." she whispered, her voice filled with despair. "You can't..."
Mo Xie chuckled, a low, rumbling sound that seemed to shake the very air around them. "Oh, but I can," he said. "And I will. Unless..."
He paused, letting his words hang in the air, a tempting offer, a devil's bargain.
"Unless you join me," he continued, his voice soft yet filled with an undeniable power. "Unless you pledge yourself to me. Become my queen, Long Xi. Stand by my side as we reshape this realm, as we bring about a new order, an order of darkness and chaos."n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Long Xi stared at him, her mind reeling. She could feel the darkness encroaching, could sense the despair threatening to consume her.
"Never." she said, her voice barely above a whisper, yet filled with a fierce, unwavering determination.
Mo Xie sighed, as if disappointed by her answer. "So be it," he said, his voice turning cold once more. "Then you shall watch as your precious world burns."
With a wave of his hand, he conjured a massive cage of dark energy, its bars thick and impenetrable. Long Xi, her strength utterly depleted, could only watch as the cage descended, trapping her within its confines.
Mo Xie then turned his attention to Yun Xia, Yun Niu, and the others. They had been battling valiantly against the remaining Devil Gods, but they were outnumbered, outmatched. And with Long Xi captured, their hope of victory had all but vanished.
"Bring them to me," Mo Xie commanded, his voice echoing across the battlefield. "I want the Dragon Queen to have a good view."
The Devil Gods, their forms flickering with dark energy, surged forward, their attacks growing more ferocious, more desperate. Yun Xia, still weak from Mo Xie's earlier attack, struggled to defend herself and Yun Niu. Lin Zixuan, Lin Canghai, Jiang Yingyue, and Yang Chen fought bravely, their swords and divine energy clashing against the encroaching darkness.
But it was not enough. One by one, they fell, their bodies crashing to the ground, their auras dimming. Yun Niu, her eyes wide with terror, could only watch as her friends, her family, were defeated, captured, and dragged towards Mo Xie.
Long Xi, trapped within the cage of darkness, screamed and struggled, her light energy flaring desperately as she tried to break free. But it was no use. Mo Xie's power was too great, his control over the darkness too absolute.
She could only watch in horror as Yun Xia, Yun Niu, and the others were brought before Mo Xie, their bodies bruised and bloodied, their spirits broken. They were helpless, defeated, at the mercy of a monster.
Mo Xie, a triumphant smile on his lips, looked at his captives, his eyes gleaming with a cold, malevolent light. "Now, Dragon Queen," he said, his voice dripping with mockery. "Let the show begin."
And with that, he raised his hand, ready to inflict pain, to torture, to break them, all for the sake of crushing Long Xi's will.
But just as Mo Xie was about to begin his cruel spectacle, a blinding light pierced through the darkness. The very fabric of space seemed to tear apart as a gigantic silver gate emerged from the void.
A figure slowly walked out of the gate.
Yun Lintian had arrived.
His eyes, blazing with a cold fury, swept across the battlefield. He took in the scene before him—the captured defenders of the Azure World, the battered form of Long Xi trapped within a cage of darkness, and the triumphant smirk on Mo Xie's face.
"Tell me," Yun Lintian's voice echoed through the shattered realm, each word laced with a deadly promise. "How do you want to die?"
Mo Xie was stunned for a moment and he turned to face Yun Lintian. "Ah, Yun Lintian. You finally decided to show up. I was wondering when you'd grace us with your presence."
Yun Lintian ignored the taunt, his gaze fixed on Long Xi. He could see the pain in her eyes, the silent plea for help. His heart clenched with a mixture of rage and guilt. He should have been here. He should have protected them.
"You shouldn't have done this." Yun Lintian uttered coldly.
Buzz-
Yun Lintian's presence was overwhelming, his aura radiating a power that seemed to defy the very laws of the universe. The Heaven Piercing Sword in his hand glowed with a fierce, ethereal light, its blade humming with energy as if it were alive.
The chaotic aura surrounding him was a combination of the Great Law of Life and Death, a force so profound that even the air around him seemed to tremble in fear.
Mo Xie's grin faltered for a moment as he felt the sheer weight of Yun Lintian's aura pressing down on him. The Ancient Devil God Ancestor had faced countless powerful beings in his long existence, but this... this was different.
Yun Lintian's power was not just raw strength-it was something deeper, something that seemed to resonate with the very fabric of existence itself. It was as if he had become a force of nature, a living embodiment of chaos and order intertwined.
But Mo Xie quickly masked his unease with a mocking laugh. "Impressive, Yun Lintian. Truly impressive. Do you honestly believe I can't crush your friends before you can do anything to me?"
Yun Lintian didn't respond. His eyes, cold and unyielding, locked onto Mo Xie. With that, he raised his sword, and the chaotic aura around him surged, forming a swirling vortex of
energy.
Mo Xie's eyes narrowed. He could feel the pressure building, the air growing heavier with each passing moment. He knew he couldn't afford to underestimate Yun Lintian. With a wave of his hand, he summoned a massive wave of dark energy, hurling it towards Yun Lintian with all the force he could muster.
Yun Lintian didn't flinch. He simply swung his sword.
Ripp-
The movement was so swift, so precise, that it seemed almost effortless. The chaotic aura around him condensed into a single, blinding arc of light, slicing through the wave of darkness like a hot knife through butter. The dark energy dissipated into nothingness, leaving behind a void where it had once been.
Mo Xie's eyes widened in shock. He hadn't even seen Yun Lintian move. The attack had been too fast, too powerful. Before he could react, Yun Lintian swung his sword again.
This time, the arc of light expanded, cutting through the battlefield with unstoppable force. The countless Devil Gods behind Mo Xie, their grotesque forms flickering with dark energy, were caught in the path of the attack. In an instant, they were obliterated, their bodies disintegrating into ash as the chaotic aura consumed them.
The battlefield fell silent. The once overwhelming horde of Devil Gods was gone, reduced to nothingness by a single swing of Yun Lintian's sword...
What do you think?
