Soldiers surrounded the entire castle, and they even erected a sophisticated teleportation barrier around it to ensure that Asher, Eli, and their people had no possible means of escape. The scene was tense, with the air thick with anticipation.

Mariel sighed deeply. She had known that this moment would inevitably come, but despite her preparations, the reality still hit hard. Steeling herself, she readied for the upcoming battle, determined to fight with everything she had.

"Now, even if you beg, I won't let you go..." Lucian declared, his face marked by a haughty expression as if he believed he had absolute control over the situation.

"F-Father, what are you doing?" Luna suddenly interjected, her face contorted with fury.

Lucian finally turned his gaze towards his daughter and frowned, "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be attending your classes right now? Anyhow, come to me!"

"I asked you, what are you doing?" Luna shouted, her voice echoing with defiance.

Lucian's frown deepened, "I am punishing the people who dared to kill my son within my castle walls."

"..." Luna wanted to argue, but she knew that Lucian's words were correct.

Who in their right mind would let an enemy escape unscathed?

Lucian then looked towards his other daughter and shouted, "What are you doing with them? Come to me immediately!"

"..." Rose hesitated. She understood that what Scarlet and Scylla had done was utterly wrong, especially committing such acts within their own kingdom's castle. It took an extraordinary amount of nerve to do so.

Mariel glanced at Rose. She didn't want Rose to suffer for the mistakes of others, especially with Luna present. It was imperative to keep everything as secretive as possible.

"Rose, Au--Luna, you need to go," Mariel said firmly.

Luna and Rose looked at Mariel, their faces filled with worry, but then,

"Hey, Lucian..." A calm and stress-free voice echoed.

"What?" Lucian asked with a frown, "Are you going to beg now?" as he looked at Eli.

"Have you lost your brain or what?" Eli asked, folding his arms across his chest.

"W-What are you talking about?" Lucian stammered.

"Didn't I tell you I'm not foolish enough to enter enemy territory without a plan?" Eli's pupils flickered with an ocean-blue hue as he mumbled, "Or did you forget who I am?"

Lucian felt a chill run down his spin, "W-What? You are just a mortal."

"Sigh, still ignorant... Are you really going to cling to that?" Eli asked. But before Lucian could respond,

Mana Breathing

"trrrrr"

A subtle tremor reverberated around the castle.

"W-What's going on?" Lucian exclaimed, panic setting in.

"Earthquake!!"

Soldiers trembled in fear, but that was not the end, because, Stay tuned to empiren/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"Grrrrrrrrr" A low, menacing growl echoed around the kingdom, making even the outskirts tremble in fear.

Lucian's eyes widened in shock and terror as he saw a humongous snake peeking inside. Its enormous teeth were enough to send shivers down everyone's spine.

Luna herself stumbled in fear, her legs giving out beneath her, but Eli caught her before she could fall, his grip steady and reassuring.

"!!!!" Lucian stepped back, his confidence utterly shattered. Not only him but everyone surrounding Eli stepped back in fear as well, their resolve crumbling.

"Though I came here for him..." Eli pointed to the charred body lying motionless on the ground and continued, "I also came here for another reason."

As he looked up at the sky, he mumbled, "I would like to have an audience with your kingdom's Sentinel."

Hearing this, everyone flinched in surprise and shock, whispers of disbelief rippling through the crowd.

Overcoming his overwhelming fear, Lucian shouted, "D-Do you think she would listen to you? We have pride! Not just anyone can have an audience with our Sentinel."

"Hmm? I am not asking you though," Eli said with an amused expression, which irked Lucian even more.

"Grrr... Just beca--" Before Lucian could assert his dominance, a calm voice echoed within the castle.

"Rose, Bring him... Alone!"

Hearing this command, Lucian's face turned horrified, while Eli smiled at him with a pitiful, almost condescending gaze.

Lucian could only grit his teeth in frustration, his authority slipping through his fingers.

Soon,

In a separate, dimly lit room, while others waited outside, Eli stood before a distorted figure. The figure's form was hazy, almost ethereal, as it stood before him.

"What do you want?" the distorted figure asked directly, its voice carrying a weight of timeless authority.

Eli answered with equal directness, "Could you show me the door?"

"..." The distorted figure remained silent for a moment, its form flickering slightly. Then it asked, "Why would I?"

"Well..." Eli nodded, contemplating his next words. 'Yeah, why would she?' he thought. Though he had come to collect crucial information, he didn't expect this level of resistance. He had believed that possessing the Ruler of Water's spirit would grant him a significant advantage, but it seemed the other party was indifferent to this fact.

Seeing Eli's contemplative state, the distorted figure sighed and was just about to push him out when,

"Because I know Earth..?"

Hearing this, the distorted figure flickered, its attention sharpening. "Earth? You know about that?"

"Yeah, I heard a lot from... Gaurda," Eli said, his voice steady and confident.

Hearing the familiar name, the distorted figure flickered even more, like a flame caught in a breeze, and asked, "Did you meet Gaurda? Where? Is he even alive?"

"In the dungeon, and I killed him," Eli said with a straight face and a nonchalant shrug.

The distorted figure sighed, its form wavering slightly, and looked at Eli, then asked, "What did he say?"

"Hmm... Nothing much, just a few things about gods while cursing my wife and how other gods were caught and corrupted by her Maisama or whatever," Eli said, his tone casual yet serious.

"...." The distorted figure nodded after a long pause, its form settling slightly. Then it asked, "So, what do you wish to know?"

"I'd like to know about these doors and what the key he mentioned before dying," Eli said, his eyes fixed on the figure.

"He even mentioned that!" The distorted figure's expression was one of genuine surprise.

"Yes," Eli confirmed with a nod.

"Sigh... But still, why would I show it to you?" The figure pressed, its voice tinged with scepticism. It saw no reason to comply with Eli's request.

'It's come to this... ah,' Eli thought, feeling a mix of frustration and resolve. He couldn't help but resort to his last plan: threatening, "I will kill Lucian."

"... Boy," the figure's voice turned serious, a hint of menace creeping in. But before it could say more, Eli cut it off, saying,

"If you didn't know, he is the one who almost killed me. If I were to tell this to my dear, overprotective wife~... I wonder what would happen," Eli said, his tone leaving no room for doubt as if left with no other option.

"ggrrrrr" The figure gritted its teeth, the sound echoing ominously in the room. It was clear that Eli was using Lilith as leverage, but he felt no shame in doing so.
