My Hubby Can't Stop Pampering Me

Chapter 655: Chapter 657 Filming (2)

The sound of his speech had not yet faded, Yu Sixing next to her let out a small cough or two. Huang Mi was fine when he heard the cough, but Xue Feifei’s temples throbbed twice.

Yu Sixing slowly turned his head, his face calm, even wearing a small smile, “Please continue. I’m listening and learning. Though I’m not an actor, I’m closely related to this industry, it’s good to hear the views on acting from a Film Emperor.”

Seeing his appearance of “learning with an open mind”, Huang Mi didn’t feel all that surprised and continued, “I would certainly reject it. What happens next lies with you. You’ve seen stage plays, right? Sometimes the transition of scenes depends on your actions and dialogue. How you pinpoint the next scene depends on your performance. I may do it like this…”

He roughly demonstrated a couple of actions, because there was only one line in the script: “After the wedding, the second female lead wants to develop a relationship with the main male lead as a matter of course, but the main male lead has other concerns and is unwilling to continue. As the two are pushing and pulling, external forces are also in conflict.”

“I got it. So I might do it like this afterward, is this okay?” Xue Feifei was too lazy to pay attention to Yu Sixing, directly turning her head and starting a lively discussion with Huang Mi.

Yu Sixing sat to the side, his ears pricked up and alert. When everyone had almost finished their meal, Director Zhao also came over, “I was just wondering where you guys went, turns out you’re here. What, discussing the afternoon’s shooting? Is Mr. Yu also here?”

“I heard this afternoon’s scene is very important, I came to listen in.” Yu Sixing said with a serious expression. It seemed like he was only there to listen and learn.

There was no space left on the sofa, and Yu Sixing didn’t offer to move, so Director Zhao had to bring a chair over himself. It seemed that Huang Mi did not know the relationship between Xue Feifei and Yu Sixing, nor did the rest of the crew. Director Zhao originally wanted to make the scene more spectacular, but with Yu Sixing present, many of his ideas could not be implemented.

When the director was acting out the scene with them, he exaggerated a point, then looked back at Yu Sixing, “Mr. Yu, as an audience member, what do you think about this?”

Yu Sixing kept a cool face, “I believe in Director Zhao’s artistic vision. As long as it’s necessary and artistically expressive, I can accept it.”

He then turned his head and asked Huang Mi, “I remember you graduated from a regular drama school, right? Did you study the method school, the experience school, or the performance school?”n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

These are a few common schools of acting in film. The experience school is when actors draw from their own tragic experiences when their characters need to cry. The method school emphasizes the shaping of the entire character, using body language and facial expressions to deeply explore the character’s inner thoughts. The performance school incorporates the actor’s real personality into the role, which is more commonly used overseas.

Huang Mi responded, “The school taught the methods school the most.”

“I see.” Yu Sixing laughed a little, but didn’t say anything.

But when they finished talking and were preparing to set up the scene for shooting, Huang Mi and Director Zhao left first. Yu Sixing got up, looked around the room which had been lively just moments ago, and now it was deserted. He stepped to one side, blocking Xue Feifei’s path.

Xue Feifei was packing her things, and when she looked up, she saw Yu Sixing. Seeing his hands in his pockets and his calm face, Feifei, who still had company, tried to hold back her anger, “What do you want?”
