Chapter 660: Chapter 660 - The Ice That Shatters Shadows

Broken had trained relentlessly to maximize his efficiency with the spear, conserving both Mana and Stamina. He couldn't afford to go all out, not until he fully understood the extent of

Galactron's power.

The Necromancer, no doubt, would hold nothing back. His goal was clear: stop Broken at all costs, or better yet, kill him. But Broken had no time to waste. The capital was under siege, and a massive battle raged there. He had to make it in time.

With a quick breath, he activated his skill.

[Ocean's Wrath (Active Skill) activated.]

The ground trembled as waves of shimmering water materialized around Broken, crashing forward in a torrent toward Galactron and his skeletal army.

Galactron's eyes gleamed faintly, and with a flicker of movement, he floated backward, effortlessly dodging the oncoming waves. His summons, however, weren't so lucky. The force of the water slammed into them, sending many tumbling backward.

Seizing the opening, Broken dashed forward.

His spear spun in his hands as he delivered a precise sweep, followed by a powerful thrust and a defensive spin parry.

[Spear Guard (Conditional Passive Skill) Lv. 5 triggered.]

One of the skeletons lunged, but Broken's spear caught the attack perfectly, deflecting it and sending the creature sprawling to the ground.

[Groundbreaker (Active Skill) Lv. 5 activated.]

Broken slammed the spear into the earth, creating a shockwave that erupted around him. Several skeletons were flung backward, their bones rattling as they crumbled under the force.

But the skeleton warriors were relentless. They attacked from all directions with brutal precision, completely disregarding the damage they sustained.

Broken countered each strike, his movements fluid and agile. Overhead strikes, sweeping cuts, precision thrusts.

He knew the fastest way to defeat a summoner was to go for the summoner himself. Galactron was the linchpin. If Broken could break through and land a decisive blow, the battle would be

over.

But damn it-these skeletons just kept coming. Their numbers weren't just overwhelming; they seemed to multiply.

"Damn it!"

His frustration mounted as more skeletons rose to replace those he had already destroyed.

Broken pulled on his Legendary-grade Flowing Tide Cape, the fabric shimmering like liquid water in the sunlight. With a quick motion, he activated his Water Domain.

A dome of shimmering water expanded outward, enveloping the skeleton warriors surrounding him.

[Sea of Storms (Active Skill) activated.]

Dozens of magic circles appeared in the air above him, glowing faintly before unleashing a barrage of water spears that rained down mercilessly on the skeleton warriors below.

The spears struck with devastating force, shattering many of the skeletons into splinters of bone and shadow.

But the respite was brief. More skeletons emerged from the edges of the battlefield, clawing their way out of Galactron's ever-present magic circles.

What about their damage, do they have good damage output?

Yes they did.

Their attacks weren't particularly strong on their own, but their sheer numbers made it impossible to ignore. Each scratch and strike chipped away at Broken's health, the swarm slowly wearing him down.

[Nature's Herald (Active Skill) Lv. 2 Activated]

Summoning one of his Gaia Beasts, Broken called forth the Elder Tree Dragon.

A dragon formed from twisting wood and lush greenery appeared above the battlefield. It roared as it swooped through the air. With a deep breath, the dragon unleashed a sweeping magic attack, its breath tearing through the skeleton warriors like a storm.

Despite the relief, more skeletons replaced the fallen. The battlefield was becoming a war of attrition, and Broken knew he couldn't keep this up indefinitely.

He continued to fight. His spear spun in elegant arcs, cutting through skeletons with sweeps, thrusts, and powerful underhand strikes. Each movement was precise, but the endless swarm left him little room to breathe.

Seeing no other choice, Broken leapt toward Galactron, aiming to end this at its source. His spear glinted as he launched himself forward, ready to strike.

But Galactron simply smirked.

The Necromancer floated effortlessly away, drifting just out of reach with an infuriating ease.

Broken's spear spun as he slashed through another wave of skeleton warriors, his frustration mounting. He had plenty of area attacks, but the mana usage for those skills was too high to sustain against an enemy that seemed endlessly replenished.

His Invincible Paragon defensive skills were holding up well, mitigating much of the damage from the relentless attacks. But even with his strong defense, it was clear this battle wasn't about defeating him-it was about stalling.

Damn it!

Broken gritted his teeth as the realization hit harder.

Galactron wasn't trying to win outright. This entire fight was a deliberate ploy to waste his time, to drain his resources and leave him weaker for the real battle at the capital.

Then, suddenly-

The temperature around him dropped drastically!

Broken's movements faltered as his breath became visible in the air. "What the...?" he muttered, glancing around in confusion.

In an instant, the ground beneath him began to freeze, shards of ice spreading out in intricate, jagged patterns. The ice expanded rapidly, forming a massive magic circle of fragmented frost across the battlefield.

Before he could react further, the encroaching ice enveloped the skeleton warriors, freezing them in place.

The horde that had been relentlessly attacking moments ago was now nothing but a frozen army, captured mid-strike in jagged blocks of glistening ice.

As if on cue, a sword fell from the sky with blinding speed, embedding itself into the frozen ground. A shockwave of icy energy erupted outward from the impact, sending cascading explosions of frost in all directions.

The frozen skeletons shattered instantly, their remains scattering like brittle glass.

Broken shielded his face from the blast, lowering his arm only when the icy destruction

subsided.

Above, a figure descended gracefully, landing atop the hilt of the sword now lodged in the

ground.

Balanced perfectly, a man stood tall, his long black hair tied back behind him. He wore light blue armor with an icy sheen.

Broken turned to the newcomer. It was Frostedge, someone he had sparred with a few weeks

ago.

The man descended gracefully from his sword, landing lightly on the ground before pulling the blade free. He turned to Broken, holding his sword downward with both hands, and gave a

slight bow.

"Broken, forgive my interruption. I happened to be passing by and noticed this swarm of

skeleton warriors."

"Btw, thanks for the assistance," Broken replied.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"Anyway," Frostedge continued, "I'm on my way to the capital and was hoping I could hitch a

ride in your carriage-if you don't mind."

"Sure, that's fine," Broken said with a small nod. "But I think you'll need to wait until I'm

done dealing with these skeletons."

Frostedge nodded again. He glanced toward Galactron, a faint smile playing on his lips.

"Broken," Frostedge said casually, not looking away from Galactron, "would you mind if I... helped speed up your journey a bit?"

"Surely, that would be appreciated," Broken replied, stepping to Frostedge's side. "Any help

is always welcome."

Galactron, standing at a distance, remained motionless for a moment. Then, a low chuckle

escaped his lips. He lowered his head slightly, running a hand through his messy brown hair

before pushing it back.

"Ha ha ha..." Galactron's shoulders shook as his chuckles grew louder. He raised his head, his

grin stretching wide.

"I'm so happy!" he exclaimed. "Hahaha! This is going to be so much fun!"

From the guild chat, members who were keeping tabs on the situation quickly chimed in with

their comments.

[Goldrich]: "We have three protagonists from different perspectives meeting in the same

place. This feels like a pivotal moment in a novel."

[Tora]: "Damn it! I should be there to witness that battle firsthand!"

[Freya]: "I'm on my way toward Broken's location with RememberMe and the others. Let me

record what's about to become an epic showdown."

[RememberMe]: "Hahaha! This is going to be so much fun to watch!"
