Chapter 214
The atmosphere subtly shifted.

Rianel turned to Penelope and asked,
“May I have a moment of your time?”
“Of course,” Penelope replied, startled into agreement.
A short while later, Rianel, his aide Kael, Penelope, and Ivetta gathered in a smaller meeting room.
The atmosphere was unexpectedly formal, and Penelope quickly realized this was an official discussion.
Rianel was the first to speak.
“I’d like to finalize discussions regarding the railway connecting Pellar and Halo. It seems it’s about time for me to return to my territory.”
“So soon?” Penelope quickly collected herself, resisting the urge to glance at Ivetta’s expression.@@novelbin@@
‘If I look at Ivetta now, it’ll be way too obvious.’
To Penelope, it seemed like Rianel and Ivetta were at that early stage of noticing each other.
They were aware of one another, but their feelings weren’t yet clear.
‘You can’t even call that a fling.’
What do you think?
