I Can Copy Everything Without Limit

Chapter 22

C22 – Wei Lulin Looked Straight at His Desire

In the guest room at the back of Wei’s Pharmacy, Wei Lulin, having adjusted his mindset, began to fully absorb the spiritual energy from the Grade Nine Low Grade Spirit Stone, rapidly enhancing his strength.

The superior the quality of the Spirit Stone, the richer and purer the spiritual energy it contained. This was Lulin’s most tangible realization after absorbing energy from the Grade Nine Low Grade Spirit Stone.

The high-quality spiritual energy was converted into Spiritual Force at an impressive rate. In just one day, one of his twelve meridians was already brimming with Spiritual Force. The Spirit Stone in his hand remained unchanged, its crystal clarity intact.

Lulin continued his cultivation without pause, determined to make the most of every moment.

Three days flew by, and Lulin’s absorption rate increased exponentially. Within that time, four of his twelve meridians were saturated with Spiritual Force, and the power flowing through him sparked a desire to spar with someone.

Despite the Spirit Stone’s abundant energy, Lulin was forced to halt his cultivation. Recent continuous absorption had caused the Spiritual Force within his meridians to become agitated, and he felt a distracting restlessness. Concerned by these symptoms, he dared not proceed with his practice.

“Is it possible that my recent rapid advancement has led to an unstable foundation?” he wondered, calming his mind and quelling the turbulent Spiritual Force.

However, he soon dismissed this thought. The first three levels of the Qi Refining Stage were solely about absorbing spiritual energy, with no risk of an unstable foundation.

After much contemplation, Lulin had no choice but to stand and seek advice from the shopkeeper in the front hall. Given that the shopkeeper was a Body Refining Stage Expert, he was likely to have insights into Lulin’s condition.

The shopkeeper took a genuine interest in Lulin’s predicament, inquiring in detail about his cultivation process. After a thorough examination, he assured Lulin that his foundation was solid; the real issue was his mindset.

An overly eager mentality, the shopkeeper explained, was the root cause of the instability in Lulin’s Spiritual Force.

In light of the situation, the shopkeeper advised Wei Lulin to cut back on the time he spent absorbing Spirit Stones. He also encouraged him to dedicate the extra time to refining his martial skills.

Reflecting on the conversation after returning to his room, Wei Lulin realized the shopkeeper made a valid point. His outlook had significantly shifted following the repair of his meridians.

Previously, he believed he lacked ambition, thinking his diligent cultivation was merely to better his life. Yet, deep down, there was a latent desire, which became amplified after he acquired the ability to copy and paste. Without this inner yearning, he wouldn’t have been so driven, nor would he have the drive to outdo the direct disciples of the Wei family or the urge to make a name for himself.

However, this desire wasn’t detrimental; rather, it served as a potent motivator, propelling him to greater heights.

Perhaps it was time for him to adjust his mindset and actively pursue the recognition he deserved, to rise above all others.

Once Wei Lulin realigned his thoughts, his previously turbulent Spiritual Force calmed considerably, much to his relief.

With his Spiritual Force in equilibrium, he refrained from further absorption. Instead, he rose from his bed, grabbed his steel blade, and stepped out of his room into the courtyard.

He had mastered only seven of the fourteen moves of the Basic Blade Technique. The remaining moves were more intricate, prompting him to allocate half of his training time to mastering them.

One of Wei Lulin’s strengths was his ability to immerse himself fully in any task at hand. Now committed to practicing the blade technique, he poured all his concentration into the practice, free from any distractions.

In addition to honing the remaining seven moves, he occasionally channeled his Spiritual Force to enhance the technique’s potency.

While Wei Lulin was engrossed in his practice in the courtyard, the shopkeeper and Wei Tian, a Body Refining Stage Expert, observed him from a nearby room.

“His potential is quite impressive,” Wei Tian observed Wei Lulin, who was practicing with earnest intensity, and nodded with great satisfaction.

“He possesses not only remarkable talent but also extraordinary insight. I had assumed it would take him at least three days to grasp the cause of the fluctuations in Spiritual Force. Yet, in a mere fifteen minutes, he not only identified the cause but also fully adjusted his mindset.”

Both the shopkeeper and Wei Tian were Body Refining Stage experts with keen perception. Without Wei Lulin employing his Spiritual Force, they wouldn’t be able to sense his current state. However, as Wei Lulin now combined his Spiritual Force with his blade technique, they noticed his Spiritual Force was exceptionally stable.

“Exceptional talent, a brilliant mind, and incredible insight. In less than a decade, the Wei family will surely have another Peerless Expert at its helm.” Wei Tian expressed his concurrence with a nod.

As a Body Refining Stage expert himself, Wei Tian was well aware of the significance of talent and insight. His own aptitude was certainly not lacking, or else he wouldn’t have reached the Body Refining Stage before turning forty.

Yet, his Medium Level Grade Nine Cultivation Talent set the bar for his achievements. The pinnacle of his life’s accomplishments would likely be the middle tier of the Body Refining Stage, with a chance to ascend to the level of a Body Refining Stage Expert if fortune favored him.

Furthermore, once he attained the Body Refining Stage, his progression in cultivation markedly slowed. Now, advancing even a Small Stage could demand several years, perhaps even over a decade.

Had he been blessed with a Middle Level Grade Eight talent, he wouldn’t need nearly as long to progress through the Small Stages.

“The family has sent word; in five days, the family’s experts will arrive to escort Lulin. During this time, it’s imperative that you and I ensure Lulin’s safety at all costs. We cannot afford any mishaps,” the shopkeeper stated gravely to Wei Tian.

“Rest assured, I would lay down my life if necessary to guarantee his safety,” Wei Tian declared, his fists clenched with resolve.

Meanwhile, Wei Lulin, deeply engrossed in perfecting his blade technique, remained oblivious to the conversation between the shopkeeper and Wei Tian. Unaware of the lengths to which Wei Tian was prepared to go to protect him, he devoted his full attention to mastering his skills.

As his Spiritual Force grew stronger, he gradually became more familiar with and adept at several Blade Styles. Yet, after practicing for some time, he experienced a sudden revelation. Within the Basic Blade Technique, he identified a few moves as particularly unique: the Slash, Lift, Stab, Wipe, Chop, Entangle, and Sweep.

These seven Blade Styles resonated with him in an unusual way. He sensed that mastering the essence of these moves could lead to an unexpected boon.

Influenced by this realization, he shifted his focus away from the broader Basic Blade Technique, concentrating solely on perfecting these seven styles.

At present, his strength was modest, and his experience limited, preventing him from reaping immediate benefits from these Blade Styles. Yet, as his power and knowledge expanded, he anticipated an astonishing discovery of the true potency within these seven moves.
