I Can Copy Curses

Chapter 431 431. Let's start the fight!

"Orion Darkwood is dead?" Josh was stunned for a moment upon hearing something like that, especially when they were in the middle of the war.

"Damn! The war has started, and you guys are celebrating over some rumors!" Josh shouted, glaring at Killian, Frey, Kate, and Jack in frustration. "If you don't want me to rate your performance as zero, then get your minds straight. This is war! NOT a time to celebrate over childish things."

Killian shrugged. "It's not like we wanted to be here or anything."

He added, glancing at the soldiers of the other races in the air, "But we're not so degenerate that we would look away when other races are attacking us."

"Alright, then you and your group's task will be to handle those Diamond rank soldiers. Do not let a single Diamond rank soldier enter the academy," Josh ordered them.

"Don't worry. We'll do what you say," Frey replied, feeling bored by Josh's constant shouting.

"Humph." Josh snorted. He felt that it would be better if he had his old advisors here instead of them. At least they never complained when he asked something from them.

Elijah looked at the group of new advisors, frowning. He knew that only he, Mark, and Mei Lin knew about the death of Orion Darkwood. So, how did they get the information?

"How are you so sure that he is dead?" he asked them.

Killian sneered. "Elijah, have you heard the rumors about Jack possessing an ability that allows him to foresee certain futures?" he asked.

Elijah's eyes narrowed. "The ability that randomly activates and lets him see certain futures?"

Josh frowned upon hearing them, for he also knew something about this ability. "It's said that the more people who know about the vision of the future, the less likely it is to turn out to be true." He said solemnly and turned to look at Jack, who was standing nearby.

Frey nodded. "You're correct. Jack had recently seen a vision about Orion's death, and he only told us about it. Guess what? Jack just confirmed a moment ago that Orion Darkwood died just like he had seen in his vision."

Elijah heard him and felt conflicted. 'Damn, the genius with the most potential, and the transmigrator with the most potential, died just like that?' He sighed. Although he still had a hard time digesting this fact, it was true that Orion—or Ray, as he knew him—had passed away, killed by the god himself.

'The entire situation with the God is messed up,' he thought.

"Look, the Ten Seats have arrived," Killian shouted, looking up at the sky.

"Ten? More like nine seats," Frey mocked. "The number one in the rank of Ten Seats rarely shows himself. In fact, he's so rare that nobody even knows if he is real or not."

Josh shook his head at the arrogance of these advisors.

Up in the air, a tense situation unfolded as the Ten Seats arrived before the Seven Demon Kings.

Morkel looked at the seven demon kings, a deep scowl etched into his face. Rage simmered beneath his stoic exterior, fueled by the cold shock of betrayal. The peace treaty was still in effect, yet here they were—ambushed, blindsided by a joint attack from the other three races.

They had somehow infiltrated the Limitless Void, a feat previously thought impossible without detection, slipping through every line of defense without so much as a whisper.

The thought gnawed at him, filling him with a growing sense of dread. Not only had they been taken by surprise, but now, even in their own domain, the odds were stacked against them.

It unsettled him deeply. How had they gained such knowledge? Who had aided them, or worse—was there a traitor among their ranks?

He knew his suspicion wasn't groundless after he received the report about what had happened at the Dollas Academy. Demons had found a way to infiltrate human bodies, controlling them, or worse, killing the original soul and taking over the body.

"You are all truly ruthless, attacking when we are so unprepared," Morkel said, glaring at the Seven Demon Kings. "And yet, you're so foolish at the same time."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Foolish?" one of the demon kings scoffed, his voice dripping with disdain. "You're the foolish ones, Morkel. Placing your faith in a mere piece of paper, as if it would bind us." He sneered, his gaze burning with contempt. "Did you truly think we would honor such a treaty?"

Another of the demon kings chuckled, crossing his arms as he gave Morkel a pitying look. "Perhaps you mistook peace for weakness, Morkel. A miscalculation, don't you think?"

Morkel's lips curled into a grim smile. "And perhaps you underestimated the consequences of this betrayal. There's a reason no one enters the Limitless Void uninvited."

The demon kings exchanged glances, smirking at one another as if Morkel's words were little more than idle threats. One of them shrugged. "It seems you're the one clinging to fantasies. We've breached your precious Void, and look—" he gestured around them mockingly—"we're still here, quite comfortably, I'd say."

"Comfortable?" Morkel echoed, voice low and dangerous. "How comfortable will you feel when the tables turn? This is our domain, after all. You might not find your way back out."

A demon king laughed, an unsettling sound that filled the silence. "Is that so, Morkel? I wonder, how do you intend to enforce that when you're cornered in your own territory? Or have you forgotten that this _is_ a war, and we came prepared?"

Morkel's eyes narrowed, a flicker of dark amusement crossing his face. "So you say. But war, dear friends, is a matter of endurance. We've been here for eons, and we've seen plenty of fools claim to own our lands—" his gaze hardened, "—only to find themselves swallowed by the Void."

The demon kings went silent, some of their smirks fading, but one raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed. "Bravado won't save you, Morkel. Nor will empty threats." He leaned in slightly, his voice a dangerous whisper. "And I'd advise against any last-ditch efforts to resist. It would be... unfortunate for you."

Morkel met the demon king's stare head-on. "Don't worry. I'm not resisting, just observing. You may think yourselves victorious now, but in the Void, victory is rarely what it seems."

"HAHAHA, I say let's stop this stupid play of words and start the fight!"

At this moment, someone interrupted, surprising both the demon kings and the Ten Seats.
