Kang Jinwook’s gaze briefly lingered on the phone lying on the side table. The brightened screen displayed a series of messages from the guard assigned to watch over Choi Sunwoo.

Kang Jinwook didn’t bother touching the screen to check the content. Instead, he took off his clothes, threw them into the powder room, and walked straight into the bathroom.

Standing under the showerhead, he turned on the cold water. As the water soaked his body, Kang Jinwook tilted his head back.

An old memory resurfaced.

That day, it rained so much that it felt unpleasant. He had hoped it would stop before class ended, but rather than easing, the rain only intensified. After the final bell, Kang Jinwook stayed at his desk for a while, staring out the window, before getting up and leaving the classroom.@@novelbin@@

At the entrance of the school building, he looked up at the pitch-black sky. On such days, cars were usually waiting for the students to leave, but today, there were no cars in sight.

It seemed like Kang Jinwoo had meddled again. It wasn’t anything new. In fact, Kang Jinwook had expected something like this ever since he had stared out of the classroom window.

Sighing deeply, he was about to step into the heavy rain when he heard a voice from behind.

“Not leaving yet?”
