Chapter 42
Where did all these malicious people come from, following me everywhere I go?
To find the answer to that question, I had to go back to when I first started playing Reore.
At that time, I was watching Mangming’s stream.
I had been recommended to watch it by the gallery users.
It was probably around then that these malicious people started attaching themselves to me.
Now, it was too late to get rid of them.
They had become a part of me.
So, I had to think of a way to coexist with them.
“Alright, that’s enough.”
After telling them once not to do it, I wanted to leave the stream, but I couldn’t.
If a spam like that happens in the chat, I knew I would inevitably hear something about Kang Hoo-min from somewhere, no matter the means.
‘This is why you shouldn’t join other people’s streams.’
There weren’t many viewers, and they weren’t really related to me, so I thoughtlessly entered the broadcast. But I’d have to be more careful next time.
I might cause trouble for others.
With that thought, I listened to what Kang Hoo-min was saying.
Dama? Who’s that idiot, coming here and causing a fuss? Annoying. This guy’s already annoying, but why bring up some weird bastard and mention him?
“Hmm…”
It was true that I had caused some weird spam in Kang Hoo-min’s stream first.
But that didn’t give anyone a reason to say those kinds of things to me.
‘...Still, it’s a bit awkward to say anything here.’
If I hadn’t started the issue, it would be one thing, but since I was the one who caused it, it was a bit embarrassing to complain.
So, I used a legal loophole.
“What’s going on? Why can’t I hear anything?”
[🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: No, man] [🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: That method is a bit too much, lol] [But honestly, the stuff being said wasn’t something you’d want to hear with a clear mind] [Our Dama, don’t listen to that, pleaseㅠㅠ Our Dama, don’t listen to that, pleaseㅠㅠ Our Dama, don’t listen to that, pleaseㅠㅠ] [Dama... please don’t listen to those things] [Hwanhee: Kang Hoo-min is such a damn jerk lol] [Kang Hoo-min here: That’s just my broadcast concept, I can’t help it] [Doesn’t seem like a concept though lol] [Kang Hoo-min you motherfucker (This insult is directed at ‘Kang Hoo-min here’ in Dama’s broadcast, please don’t misunderstand)] [If it’s an insult aimed at Kang Hoo-min, then I accept it lol]
Fortunately, the viewers seemed to understand.
It would be embarrassing to argue here anyway.
It was lucky that this happened when Mangming and Harin weren’t watching.
If they had been watching, it would have been a bit awkward.
‘From now on, I should just ban all mentions of Kang Hoo-min.’
There weren’t that many viewers, but I still thought it would be best to ban all mentions related to Kang Hoo-min.
It wasn’t going to be for anything good anyway.
With that thought in mind, I checked the current viewer count.
[Viewer count: 125]
“Where are all these viewers coming from?”
The viewer count kept increasing.
It didn’t seem like they had come from coordinates.
If they had come from coordinates, the viewers would have surged suddenly, and then quickly dropped off.
Since that wasn’t happening, it didn’t look like they had come from coordinates.
[🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: The people who upload your videos to YouTube] [🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: That’s probably why] [Is there a place that uploads these kinds of crappy videos?] [Hwanhee: I’m kind of worried that uploading these might be illegal...] [It’s fun to watch those channels when you can’t catch the live broadcast lol] [Thanks, Haehoo~] [Haehoo is a god] [Kang Hoo-min here: They sometimes edit and upload the broadcast videos from that channel lol] [They get around 700 views, but it’s steady]
Oh, there’s that path.
Of course, I had heard that popular streamers like Rimaldo also gained viewers this way, but since it wasn’t exactly a mainstream method, it was interesting to me.
I spoke up.
“Then, should I check out the edited video? It’s surprising that someone is editing my broadcast.”
Personally, as someone who’s never been deeply involved in something like that, I didn’t really understand fan channels that edit and upload videos just because they like the person. It wasn’t like they were making money from it.
That’s why I was so curious about why someone would edit and upload my broadcast.
With that curiosity in mind, I typed “Haehoo” into YouTube.
Then—
“An old song comes up.”
It seemed like the song was from a long-ago program called Kayo Top Ten.
Of course, I didn’t know it.
I only listen to hip-hop related songs, after all.
[🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: Ah, this song’s nice] [Mm, yeah, yeah, it’s definitely a good song] [This song is really good] [Hwanhee: I want to love you while looking at you~] [Ugh, all the old people are here] [Just die already, please] [Kang Hoo-min here: I’m so annoyed that this song keeps popping up above. I don’t care about old songs.] [As expected, attacking old people with Kang is lol]
I scrolled down a little more and found a channel called “Haehoo” with about 100 subscribers.
“What, this channel’s subscriber count is the same as my viewer count.”
[🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: No bad words about fan channels, okay?] [Hey, you bastard lol] [The manager is the worst lol] [No one’s saying anything, but you’re complaining yourself, ffs lol] [Hwanhee: Is that what a manager is?] [🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: Do you want to be a manager?] [Hwanhee: I’m good on that]
Why is the channel called Haehoo?
It might have just been a name chosen without much thought, but usually, people use the nickname they’ve been using when they create an account.
Looking at it from that perspective—
“Is there someone named Haehoo on the broadcast?”@@novelbin@@
That seemed like a reasonable guess.
It was a good assumption.
So, I decided to check it out right away.
Since there weren’t that many viewers, I thought I’d be able to check everyone’s nickname in about a minute.
But then—
“What, there’s no one.”
[🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: Aaaah!!! This is an invasion of privacy!!!] [The manager has finally lost it lol] [Shortened time xd] [You’ve been temporarily banned!] [🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: Lame joke, no thanks] [Dictator vibes lol] [If you were born a few hundred years earlier, your name would probably be Goebbels lol] [Goebbels is legit though lol] [What do you mean legit, ffs lol]
I was confident as I checked the viewer list, but there was no one named Haehoo.
I even checked for slight variations in the nickname, but I couldn’t find anyone suspicious.
So, I gave up on finding them and decided to watch the edited video.
Click.
I clicked the mouse and checked the video that had been uploaded a few days ago.
It’s easy to do it this way. Everyone, do it like this.
“Hmm... my voice was this deep? It’s really deep. Kind of not my style.”
People often say my voice is low, but I didn’t expect it to come out this low on the broadcast.
I thought it would come out a bit higher.
Personally, I don’t really like my voice, so it was a bit embarrassing.
[🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: Your voice is great] [🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: Please don’t trick us, no no no] [No, I’ve gotten excited while listening to your voice more than once, so please don’t say stuff like that] [You’ve been temporarily banned!] [Shit, stop being a pervert] [Don’t try to raise Dama’s self-esteem in that weird way..] [Trying to boost my self-esteem in the weirdest way, lol] [Unbelievable, seriously lol] [Kang Hoo-min here: Crazy, horny bitch.]
But in the chat, people were complimenting my voice.
There were some compliments about the song in between, but most of the comments were about how great my voice was.
‘Seems like it doesn’t sound that bad after all.’
I was relieved and continued watching the edited video.
After a short while…
“…It’s fun.”
The video ended.
I hadn’t expected it to be this fun.
“My broadcast turned out this entertaining when edited.”
Personally, I never thought my broadcast was that fun.
I just thought it was good for being played like a radio.
[It’s fun because the material is good.] [🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: But they made even the boring parts fun, so it’s definitely talent lol] [I never imagined it could be this fun] [Haehoo is a god, Haehoo is a god, Haehoo is a god, Haehoo is a god, Haehoo is a god, Haehoo is a god] [Hwanhee: Even after watching it again, it’s so fun lol] [This is it~] [Kang Hoo-min here: When the broadcast gets bigger, we should hire a proper editor]
A proper editor, huh.
I would want to, but looking at my current viewer count, it seemed like it was better to put that thought aside.
‘What can I do with just a hundred viewers.’
At least with over a thousand viewers, I could consider creating a YouTube channel.
With that thought, I left a comment on the Haehoo channel.
L: If you give me your email, I’ll send you a small gift~
Maybe I could just send them a coffee.
What do you think?
