Family system

After I finished the paperwork, I spent some time with Olivia. While most of the time we would do that in the house, I wanted to go out on a date and go outside after dealing with that much work. We were walking the streets of Azir again. I held her hand, and she looked around to see if anything was interesting, but not much was shown after a festival the city had to recover from.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

Olivia pouted a bit because all the romantic spots in the city were closed, and she wanted to spend some quality time with me. "Let's go to another city; we could find some new fun things to do there." Olivia squealed in excitement as she heard my words, and we went back home to find the carriage to take us to a new city.

While I could teleport us, I didn't want that because the journey there was as important on a date as the date itself. When we got home, we walked in the carriage that stood ready for us, and it took off even without a driver. We cuddled the whole way on the soft cushion in the carriage.

I modified this carriage instead of seats, so I made it into a bed we are now lying in. Looking out the window, you could see the ground was around 500 meters below me. Looking at the lady beside me, I laid myself down again and enjoyed her warmth.

After another hour, we arrived at a random city. This city is not the closest to Azir because if it were, we would be there in about a minute, so I wanted a new destination. When I stepped out, I saw the city before me. From what I could see, this city, or rather town, is totally different from Azir. In Azir, something is always going on because of the adventurers there.

But this place is silent in comparison. The name of this town is Serenity. The name fits the city perfectly because it is nestled beside a big mirror-like lake surrounded by gently rolling hills and a beautiful forest. The town is famous for its calmness and sense of peace. The name comes from the most striking feature—the lake.

The lake remains perfectly still, even when the wind grazes it or just with the passage of time. It stayed still, making for a sense of timeless feel. It felt so magical to see, and the way people described the city was not exaggerated. The people who went here called this town.

'The town where time slows down'

When we walked inside the village, some people who were selling stuff waved at us or said hello. They were all friendly, but you could see that not a lot of people lived here. That is because while this place is beautiful, if you are young, you want to see the world, so most people who stay here are older and just enjoy the quiet surrounding the town.

When we walked to the center of the city hand in hand, we saw a large, smooth stone. When we arrived by its side, therewas a hard with its description. We could also hear a silent but comforting humming sound all around us.

'The stone before you is called the Lullstone, and it is the heart of the town. ìt emits a soft, soothing hum. This is excellent for people who want to meditate or rest. Everybody is welcome to try the effect of the stone

That is what the board read. So, with some curiosity, I activated my analysis skills to see what the stone did, and I was shocked. This town is so peaceful because of this stone. While releasing a soft hum, it also repels beasts from approaching and emits a certain magical energy that the rest of the nature around here also benefits from.

Trees are more alive and have more magic in them. The lake from the village mutated a bit because of this stone. The lake's mutation wasn't bad for those who loved it here, but it made it even better. The water was made magical, so if you swam in it, you would become stronger or just have bigger magical veins.

That is also why the people of this town could harness a special type of magic. The mayor and some older people have magic named after the city, Serenity. The magic has the same effect as the stone. It brings people calmness and relaxes them. So even though from time to time unruly adventurers come, they are quickly calmed down thanks to this magic.

After absorbing all the knowledge about the town, we walked towards the lake. When we arrived, we lay on the grass on a little hill overlooking the lake's beautiful image. I took out two blankets: one to lay on and another to cover us in case we needed it. Olivia took out some cushions to lay our heads on.

We lay there from the afternoon until even after sundown. With the sun gone and the moon rising, stars began to appear. "Wow," were both of our reactions. While the stars were much better to see than in every other world I lived in, the sight from where we are now was different. The beauty of the night sky above us was mesmerizing.

We held each other close while looking at the stars and began kissing each other under the starry sky. After staying there for a bit longer, Olivia was exhausted, and we returned to the carriage. While this was fun, we weren't staying here, so I carried her as the princess, and she was back, and I laid her down in the carriage.

I also went inside and cuddled up to her before activating the magic on the carriage to start bringing us home.

I set it on slow mode so we could wake up and see the last part of our journey home.
