A loud splashing of water echoed in the southern sea as a lot of people appeared from thin air inside the sea.
They struggled to swim to the surface, with a look of panic etched on some people's faces.
Looking at the vast expanse of the endless sea, Su Yen and the others had unsightly looks on their faces.
Previously, they were worried about how to leave the underground water world but had never thought about how to leave the sea.
'I don't know how long it would take my elder brother to bring a boat...' Su Yen thought and sighed.
He sent his consciousness to the Spirit Comms and called his elder brother.
"Little Brother… Where are you? We are barely holding on," Su Ming's solemn voice came from Spirit Comms.
"Holding off what?" Su Yen asked, puzzled.
"Don't you know?" Su Ming asked, his voice laced with surprise.
"Know what?" Su Yen was almost going insane from his elder brother's questioning.
He had been in the underground water world for the past couple of hours. How the hell would he know something that was happening on the surface?
"Just tell me what's going on before I lose my mind. But before I lose my mind, I won't mind having a brotherly fight with you…"
Listening to Su Yen's voice from the Spirit Comms, Su Ming felt a sudden fear that ran deep down his spine.
Quickly, he narrated how the Desert Sand Men had been wreaking havoc in the Northern Barren Land.
"Why didn't anyone tell me this?!" Su Yen asked, his voice filled with fury.
"I-I thought the elders would've told you when they realized we can't handle it any longer," Su Ming responded in a low voice.
Ending the call with Su Ming, Su Yen called Elder Su Jie.
"Where are you?" Su Yen asked coldly.
A couple of miles from Su Yen, a large ship with the logo of the Huang clan on it roamed the sea as if looking for something.
On the ship, Elder Jie received a notification from his Spirit Comms in his consciousness, and a sudden dread appeared on his face.
'I'm done… Instead of searching for Sect master, I should have called him first.' He wanted to cry for his stupidity but had no tears.
Looking at the sudden change in his countenance, Elder Ma asked with concern, "Are you okay?"
Putting on a forced smile, Elder Jie nodded and moved toward the bow of the ship to answer the call.
"Sect…"
Before he could explain anything, he was interrupted by Su Yen's cold voice.
Sensing the coldness in Su Yen's voice, Elder Jie trembled a bit and responded with their location.
After knowing Su Yen's location at sea, he quickly ordered the ship to turn in their direction at top speed.
Meanwhile, Su Yen was anything but good. What he learned from Su Ming made him realize that what Elder Ghost Spear had said was the truth.
Now that the deed had been done, his head was heavy as he was thinking of various ways to get stronger quickly before all these sealed creatures began to emerge like cherries.
'I tried to increase the world providence. Who would have expected me to unseal all the ancient demons into the world...'
'With this, won't the world plunge into chaos once again…'
'No… I can never allow this…'
'I must deal with them quickly before they grow stronger…'
Lost in thought, Su Yen failed to see Huang Yin staring at him intently with worry.
Finally, she couldn't hold it any longer and asked, "Is everything okay?"
When Su Yen heard her voice, he came out of his thoughts and put on a forced smile.
"Yes… I just need to deal with something when I get back," he assured.
"Really?" She creased her brow and looked at him skeptically.
"I know it's more than that… Now tell me," she said, leaving no room for rejection.
Looking at her serious expression, Su Yen shook his head and quickly narrated what happened to her.
"That's happening right now?!" She asked with shock written all over her face.
"Hmm. Hmm." Su Yen nodded with a solemn expression.
Recovering from the shock, Huang Yin fixed her gaze on him and said seriously, "I will follow you to fight the Desert Sand Men."
"No. No. You need to—"
"Don't try to stop me. I've already made up my mind," she interrupted with a glare.
"Fine," Su Yen sighed for the umpteenth time. Since he couldn't dissuade her from not coming, it was better to go together.
Taking his mind off the problem, he looked at the hundreds of pirates around them, and a knowing look appeared on his face.
"Listen, everyone," Su Yen said in a loud voice.
When the
people heard his voice, they turned their heads and looked at him with puzzlement.
"What does he have to say?" They all thought.
"You've all witnessed one of the secrets of the barren land which belongs to my Celestial Heavenly Sect… And so…"Nôv(el)B\\jnn
When the pirates heard the Celestial Heavenly Sect, a feeling of dread washed over them. While also, they looked at Su Yen intently and realized he was the Sect Master of the sect.
'We're dead!' They exclaimed in their minds.
Looking at the dreadful expressions on the pirates' faces, Su Yen chuckled inwardly.
"I can't allow you to wander around with such a top-secret… So you must all follow me to the sect… Anyway, it's not by force; if you like, you can choose to stay behind."
"What do you think?"
"Who wants to stay behind?" He asked with a smile that wasn't a smile.
At once, the sea descended into abrupt silence, leaving only the gentle sea waves and the sounds of beasts in the distance.
After a couple of seconds, three young pirates looked at each other, and one of them said seriously,
"You may be the sect master of the Celestial Heavenly Sect, but we're pirates. We won't—"
Bang!
Before the young man could finish his sentence, his body and his companion's were smashed into pieces by a dazzling sword that left everyone in shock.
"Who else wants to stay behind?" Su Yen asked with a smile.
This time around, everyone knew what it meant to stay behind. Thus, they all threw the thought of staying behind out of their minds.
"Good. Since none of you choose to stay behind, you must follow me to the sect," he clapped his hands happily.
