Chapter 17: Chapter 17: They fell

The marching armies that stormed the land of Rutherford were in their thousands, all charging against Rutherford in their horses, their changing war cries covered the air, Lord Abraka waited back.

They kept charging until they were welcomed by the Black Corps, amongst the four hundred members of the Black Corps, three hundred belonged to the infantry, all led by the raging commander.

The Infantry were given another name, Grigori!

Grigori is occupied with two star swordsmen, blades were unsheathed, the air shook vigorously when Major Saige giggled out loud, he rode his horse towards the incoming armies of the Ravarns.

He is the one leading the Infantry as a Major!

" We'll stick with the plan, we the Grigori are ordered to only lure them in, we are setting the netero formation trap, Abraka Del Rosso isn't with them, he wants to confirm if there are any resistance "

" It's just as commander Dylan predicted, once he confirms our forced, he will come charging in, we can't let him gain control " Major Saige declared, he took a deep breath when he charged forward.

He led the infantry forward, he was given one of the fastest horses!

" What did you say? Major Saige will be leading the Infantry in your stead? why is that? " Kyle asked, he is presently seen sitted outside his castle, in the garden of the Werlock Castle while enjoying the view.

Both Commander Dylan and Ser Tristan were seen standing behind him.

" My liege, I know it should be me leading the Infantry but the Black Corps will soon grow bigger than this soon enough, It's better to give commanding authority to one of them, Major Saige is best suited "

" His sword art makes him suited for it, you should understand what I'm talking about, my liege " Commander Dylan answered when Kyle nodded with a smile seen on his face!

" Sure I do, amongst my soldiers, Saige is the fastest, after all....he was the one best suited to inherit the speed raijin sword art "

Major Saige wore a grin, he shealthed his blade when he jumped down from his horse, he stood before the incoming thousands when he slowly unsheathed his blade, the moment he opened his closed eyes, his presence couldn't be felt again, shockwaves was unleashed into the air without hesitation.

Ten horsemen were beheaded on the spot!

Major Saige landed right at the center of the charging army, he chuckled softly, bloods dripped down from his blade, within seconds, bodies started falling off their horses, Major Saige tilted his gaze.

He sensed the spearmen charging from behind when he vanished from the scene, he landed right behind them, taking off their heads within seconds, he took a deep breath, a sigh escaped his lips.

" But what's with this his swordmanship? he may be an excellent soldier but the manner he uses the blade is different, it's more like he is controlling every aspect of the blade " General Tosu spoke out.

He is one of Lord Abraka's standing three generals!

" General Gex is the one leading our troops against those Rutherford soldiers, he will handle them swiftly " General Tosu added, he is by the left side of Lord Abraka while General Kitsu is by the right.

" What is the chief priest doing? " Lord Abraka asked.

" She has prepared a ritual perfectly to appease the Primordial of Death and Calamity, one he who reigns above has been appeased, our victory is guaranteed " General Kistu answered with a grin.

" Good....Let's prepare our forces, we will be charging in with full force " Lord Abraka declared!

Above the other half of the Rutherford Barony which was sold off to the Rav Tribes, a single entity is seen floating on the air, he is covered in a dark robe, hiding his face within the hood he put on.

But his long silver haired gave him out.

" For a single tribe you guys are quite much, if I must return back to the Nebula Capital were the strong rules, I should perhaps awaken another skill right? " He voiced out, he stretched forth his hand.

And he snapped his fingers, activating his skill!

Time was frozen as he commanded, he slowly descended down from the sky till his feets touched the ground, Kyle scanned the vicinity, passing through the frozen Ravarns when one after the other.

He devoured their lifeforces, for him to absorb one's lifeforce, it must be a physical touch, that is a law that must be followed, it took him more than thirty minutes before he absorbed hundreds of lifeforces.

Draining them completely, he boosted his strength when he sighed.

And it took him an hour before he absorbed thousands of lifeforces into himself, the moment he was done absorbing all, He slowly took off his hood....Kyle could feel his magic power replenishing.

" A single lifeforce of a general was able to boost my strength but even though this people aren't on the general level, their numbers are sufficient to boost my strength and increase my magic power ten folds "

" Now I should get started, devouring their souls I mean " Kyle stated, he snapped his fingers and time flowed straight, the moment time resumed, everyone dropped down dead, he has drained their lifeforces.

" Dark Magic: Soul Gathering! " He chanted, casting a single spell which devoured all the souls of everyone present, it took him two minutes to completely devour everyone's soul when he took a deep breath.

" It's high time you come out already, hag " Kyle spoke out when he turned to see a figure making her way out of the darkness, the chief priest walked into the scene, she held her staff firmly.

She couldn't believe what she just saw, there was no a single life remaining, they were all dead!

" To think the dark mage who destroyed by lichs would be a young boy, quite young and handsome, just looking at your silver hair....I can tell who you are, It's quite shocking to know that a Reinhart is a dark mage "

" What do you think will happen if words got to your father that you are a dark mage huh? do you think you will be able to keep your head? Boy " She asked, Kyle remained quiet, an evil grin appeared on his lips.

" There is nothing much to be scared of since you will be dying tonight " Kyle declared.

" I will be dying tonight? What kind of joke is that, It seems you do not understand what has being unleashed upon you all, can you survive the wrath of that thing? " The chief priest asked when she snapped her fingers.

But nothing happened!

She snapped her fingers again but nothing happened again, she had a confused look written on her face when Kyle appeared right behind her, before she could react to his attack, he placed his hand on her shoulder.

Absorbing her lifeforce without hesitation, the chief priest collasped lifelessly on the ground the moment her lifeforce was devoured by Kyle Reinhart and he devoured her soul!

" If you are thinking about the fury you unleashed, it's dead already, furies are the household members of the new gods, they are mere servants who does that bastard's biddings so against Enzerath "
