Cursed Villainess’ Obsession

Chapter 13

After the day Ken had guided Mary through the rain, the raincoat he gifted her became her prized possession. She loved it so much that she wore it to school almost every day.

"Ken, shall we walk to school together?"

“…W-what?”@@novelbin@@

After having breakfast with Laphne, Ken had just come out of the dormitory when Mary greeted him, twirling a lock of her hair with her fingers and sneaking glances at him.

"You said you'd protect me, didn't you?"

“…But it's sunny today?”

On that rainy day, for the first time in what felt like forever, Mary had felt a sense of calm amidst the downpour. Overcome with joy at her accomplishment, she had hugged Ken tightly and wept tears of relief alongside the falling rain. From that moment on, she could attend the academy even on rainy days.

"Ken, are you done for the day?"

"Oh, Mary. Is there something you need?"

"Shall we head back together?"

“…W-what?”

Since that day, Mary had begun seeking out Ken more often. At first, she worried about whether she was visiting him too frequently, but...

‘It’s for Ken’s safety.’

Mary justified her frequent visits as a way to ensure Ken’s safety, especially since he was often bullied. But deep down, that was just an excuse. From Ken’s perspective, things seemed a bit different.

‘Lately, it feels like she’s always around…’

Thanks to the raincoat, Ken's plan to get Mary to come to school even on rainy days had worked, and Emily's bullying had stopped. However, now Mary seemed to be seeking him out a bit too often.
