Chapter 164 : Search
"Big bro can now move like that next time!" Nixie squatted on the ground, her face twisted in discomfort as she fought off the nausea.
Felix chuckled softly, "Come on, it was quite fun and fast too!"
"Fun for you, not for me," Nixie rolled her eyes at him, clearly unimpressed.
Felix shook his head with a grin. "So what did you think about my new spell? Pretty cool, right?"
"Ugh!" Nixie stood up and wiped her mouth with a white napkin, looking at Felix as if he were some sort of monster. "Big bro, how are you even doing that? You recreate spells based on their original structure and foundation, making them more powerful and deadly than before! I wish I could do that too," she said, envy etched across her face.
"Haha! I guess it's my divine talent," Felix replied cheekily.
"Humph! Shameless," Nixie snorted back.
Felix turned his gaze ahead. "So this is the Twilight Mountain Range, huh? Pretty impressive."
"Yeah! It's massive! I've learned it stretches all over the Lunaris Continent. Just imagine the treasures hidden within those mountains! Whoever conquers the Twilight Mountain Range will be the most powerful and wealthiest person in all of Lunaris, if not the world!"
"The most powerful and wealthiest person? Now that's intriguing," Felix muttered under his breath, an evil smirk creeping onto his face as he rubbed his chin while surveying the vast rolling mountains stretching into the horizon.
Nixie raised an eyebrow at him. "Big bro, you're thinking something evil again, aren't you?"
"Okay! Let's go catch those two Four-Winged Lions!" Felix snapped out of his thoughts with renewed enthusiasm.
"Alright then!" Nixie nodded eagerly. With that resolve, they both headed toward the Twilight Mountain Range.
In just a few minutes, they disappeared into a dense thicket of towering ancient trees.
"Wow! These trees are enormous! I didn't think trees this size really existed!" Nixie's eyes sparkled with awe as she walked beside Felix.
"They're truly impressive," Felix agreed. He marveled at their sheer height; they looked like giant pillars supporting the sky itself.
"Come on! Let's hurry and catch those Four-Winged Lions before they reach the inner region!" Felix waved his hand impatiently.
"But big bro... don't you think the inner region is dangerous?" Nixie's cautious tone betrayed her anxiety.
"It's not too dangerous as long as we don't go too deep," he reassured her with a pat on her shoulder.
"Okay," she replied hesitantly but nodded nonetheless.
"So are you ready?" Felix asked playfully with narrowed eyes and an impish smirk.
Nixie flinched slightly; fear flashed across her face. "Re… ready for what?".
"Hahahaha!" Felix erupted into laughter, his joy electrifying the air around him.
As pure violet lightning enveloped both him and Nixie, the atmosphere crackled with energy.
Tier 5 Lightening Elemental Spell : Lightening Teleport.
KABOOOOM!
The world shook violently as a massive thunderclap echoed through the landscape.
A colossal bolt of violet lightning struck where Felix and Nixie had just been standing, leaving behind charred remnants of ancient trees and a deep black ditch. But they were gone, vanished in an instant.
Miles away, another thunderclap resonated as another bolt of violet lightning descended from the sky.
This pattern continued for several minutes, each strike creating a straight line of destruction that shattered the tranquility of the remote outer region.
Magical Beasts roared in fear, while Mana Cultivators and Adventurers alike were taken aback by this sudden display of raw power. Your next read awaits at empire
A few hours later, on a small vibrant hill adorned with lush greenery and colorful flowers, peace reigned once more.
Cute animals frolicked amidst the beauty, until suddenly, a massive bolt of violet lightning crashed down upon it! In an instant, the once-vibrant hill was transformed into a desolate wasteland, its beauty replaced by charred remains.
Standing atop what was now a blackened hill was Felix, wearing a slight smile as he surveyed their new surroundings. "Looks like we've arrived in the inner region, Nixie! Isn't it lovely?"
He turned to find Nixie squatting on the ground, her face pale and purple as she retched again. Her body trembled uncontrollably.
Felix shook his head in exasperation. "Nixie, you need to practice more! How can you adventure with me if you can't handle this little burst of speed?"
"Waaaaah!" Nixie cried out as she struggled to her feet, still looking at him with resentment in her eyes. "Next time… I'm not sure if I can go out adventuring with you! Following you will be the death of me!"
"You think that was fast? I held back because I didn't want you to faint from my full strength," Felix replied with rolled eyes.
"Monster," Nixie's lips twitched as she silently cursed him in her heart.
Shaking off her nausea, she looked up at Felix. "So big bro, how are we going to find those two Winged Lions?"
"Don't worry," Felix said confidently as he waved his hand toward the sky. "System scan for any sign of those Winged Lions."
[Yes Host], came the system's indifferent reply.
[There are no Four-Winged Lions within my scanning range.] Moments later came its response.
"Okay," Felix nodded before turning back to Nixie. "Let's go."
Nixie took a few quick steps back, her voice trembling as she asked, "Are we going to move at extreme speed again?"
Felix's expression was one of surprise, but he quickly shook his head. "No, this time we're walking."
"Good," Nixie sighed in relief, patting her chest.
Together, they began their descent down the now-charred hill that had lost its once vibrant beauty.
"Big bro, look at what you've done! You completely destroyed this beautiful and peaceful hill!" Nixie exclaimed, shaking her head disapprovingly as they walked.
Felix shrugged nonchalantly. "I'm still practicing this new spell and perfecting it; I can't quite control how much power I unleash yet."n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
"Humph!" Nixie snorted in response. As they continued downward, both remained vigilant; they were now in the inner region where danger lurked around every corner, twenty times more terrifying than the outer realm.
Even though they were powerful, caution was paramount.
"System scan again," Felix commanded mentally.
[Yes, Host.] The system replied promptly.
[The two Winged Lions are not within my scanning range.] A moment later, the system informed him.
Felix nodded thoughtfully; Winged Lions were rare creatures, especially the strong ones, and locating them wouldn't be easy.
With renewed determination, Felix and Nixie pressed on through the inner region.
Occasionally, they encountered Magical Beasts; however, Nixie killed each one with ease.
They also crossed paths with a few adventurers who merely exchanged glances before continuing on their way.
Those brave enough to venture into the inner region were no ordinary people, they didn't pose any threat to Felix and Nixie.
Despite their progress, Felix kept the system scanning for any sign of the elusive Four-Winged Lions.
An hour passed without success when Nixie finally sat down on a small stone with a frown etched across her face. "Big bro, are you even sure that those two Winged Lions are in this inner region?"
"Of course," Felix replied confidently while surveying their surroundings.
[Host! Two Winged Lions have entered my scanning range; here are the coordinates ] Suddenly the system voice sounded in his head.
Felix's eyes lit up with excitement as he quickly glanced at the coordinates displayed by the system.
Turning to Nixie with a broad grin plastered on his face, he announced enthusiastically, "Come on! I've found them!"
"Really? Where?" Nixie's excitement bubbled over as she jumped to her feet.
"Follow me!" Felix said eagerly as he set off in the direction indicated by the coordinates. Without hesitation, Nixie trailed closely behind him.
Felix and Nixie set off, their hearts racing with anticipation as they headed north from their current position.
After trekking for a few miles, they stumbled upon a towering mountain that loomed majestically against the sky.
Nestled near its peak was a colossal cave, its entrance dark and mysterious.
The entire area was enveloped in an eerie silence, broken only by the distant chirping of birds and the faint cries of insects.
"There it is!" Felix exclaimed, his face lighting up with excitement as he gazed at the enormous cave. "Come on, Nixie! Let's go after those two Four-Winged Lions!" His enthusiasm was infectious.
"Okay! Let's hurry!" Nixie replied eagerly, her eyes sparkling with thrill.
She nodded vigorously, ready for adventure.
With a gentle hand on Nixie's shoulder, Felix summoned his Mana. In an instant, his figure began to shimmer and flicker like a mirage before vanishing completely from sight.
A few seconds later Felix and Nixie appeared a few hundred meters away from the mouth of the cave.
Felix glanced at the cave the what narrowed eyes,he closed his eyes and send his soul sense in to the cave, a few moments later he reopened them as excitement danced in his eyes.
"How is it? Are they there?" Nixie looked at Felix and asked as excitement also danced in her eyes.
